SHANNON EILEEN BRALY died May 14, 2013 at Village Manor, Abilene, KS at the age of 56. She was born on January 21, 1957 in Augsburg Germany, the daughter of Robert and Patsy Jo (Smith) Estes.
Shannon graduated from North Mesquite Texas High Scvhool in 1975 and attended Crums Beauty School in Manhattan. She made her home in Clay Center where she was active in Detour Youth Group, First Christian Church and the Apollo Towers Kitchen Band until she moved to Abilene.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Christian Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 11:00am until service time at the church.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Jon Grogg.
Inurnment will be at the Greenridge Cemetery, Dickinson County, Kansas.

Kenneth Fowler

KENNETH A. FOWLER died June 9, 2013 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan, KS at the age of 56. KENNETH A. FOWLER was born on September 23, 1956 in Fort Riley, Kansas.
Ken was raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1974. He worked at the Wakefield Grocery Store and for T&J Sheet Metal. In 1989, Ken took a job with Kansas Gas Service as a Service Technician. He married
Holly Kirk on October 10, 1992. Ken served as Mayor of Wakefield from 2001 to the present. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma LaRose and his brother, Wayne Fowler. He was a member of the Wakefield Lions Club and the IBEW Union. Ken enjoyed the outdoors, being on the lake, helping other people, and attending his children's sporting events.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Wakefield, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Larry Brock.
Burial will be at the Timber Creek Cemetery, Wakefield, Kansas.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials can be made to the Kenneth Fowler Memorial Fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
Danial Duane Alquist
(Died June 19, 2013)
DANIAL D. ALQUIST died June 19, 2013 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS at the age of 71. He was born on October 14, 1941 in Clay Center KS, the son of Sheldon Alquist and Frances Dunlap.
Danial was raised in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1959. He served in the US Army. Dan married
Carolyn Blackburn on November 17,1962. in Chicago where Dan began working for Bell Telephone. He later transferred to Kansas City and retired from Southwestern Bell in 1991. They returned to Clifton where he owned and operated the Clifton Newspaper until 1996. Dan was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Post #227 in Clifton where he was Past Commander. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Jim Haas.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton, Kansas.
Burial will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Vining, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 2-4 PM Sunday at Turner Funeral Home

Gerald Parks
(Died June 24, 2013)

Gerald Dean Parks died December 13, 2012 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 83. Gerald was born on April 27, 1929 in Ottawa County, Kansas the son of George Delbert and Erma J.(Boucek) Parks.
Gerald was a farmer, rancher, and welder. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Parks, 2 brothers, George W. and Donald Parks, and a sister, Mildred Parks Smith. His body was donated to the K.U. Medical Center.

Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 9:30 AM at the Bohemian cemetery in Ottawa County, Kansas and there will be a luncheon after the service at the Bohemain Hall.
Officiating the service will be Randy McKain and Michele McHenry.
Burial will be at the Bohemian Cemetery, west of Delphos in Ottawa County, KS.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials can be made to may be made to the ZCBJ 203 Lodge of Glasco or the Delphos Presbyterian Church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
Marian Button

MARIAN LUCILLE BUTTON died July 1, 2013 at Stoneybrook Retirement Community, Manhattan, KS at the age of 82. She was born on October 15, 1930 in Topeka Kansas, the daughter of R.M. “Susie” and Lucille (Rose) Sears.
Marian graduated from Topeka High School in 1948 and Kansas State University in 1951. She married
Donald J. Button on December 28, 1950 in Topeka and within a few years began her long and successful career as a homemaker and mother. They lived in Newton for 23 years where she was active in Republican politics, an elected 1976 delegate and 1988 alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention, a 1984 Presidential Elector and served as a Newton City Commissioner and was Mayor in 1983. In 1988 she and her husband moved to Clay Center. Marian was a member of the United Methodist Church. She served on the Presbyterian Manor Advisory Board, Clay County Arts Council, Clay County Hospital Foundation, Republican Women and was a life member of the K-State Alumni Association.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Lynch and Herb Mugler.
Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 5 to 6 PM.
