HARLAN DETTMER died November 10, 2011 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan, KS at the age of 80. Harlan was born on July 9, 1931 in Randolph, Kansas the son of Frank H. and Una (Wohler) Dettmer.
Harlan was raised in the Fancy Creek area. He was a member of the Fancy Creek United Methodist Church as a young man. He farmed and worked for Gambles, Gilmore-Tatge, and for the City of Clay Center until retiring in 1996. Harlan was an active member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed walking his dog, Tug, tending to his flowers, talking with his friends and cousins, and watching sports. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velda; his parents; and his brother Robert.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Greenwood cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on will be held from 9-10AM, Monday, November 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to may be made to the Clay Center United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.

(Died November 12, 2011)
SYLVIA FAHRING died November 12, 2011 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 77. She was born on May 17, 1934 in Junction City Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Meyer and Elsie.
Sylvia was raised born and raised in Junction City, KS. She married
Jerry Fahring and the made their home in Junction City before moving to Clay Center in the early 1970's. Jerry preceded her in death on October 29, 2002. She was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Highland cemetery in Junction City, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers.
Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 9-11AM Tuesday at the funeral home

Michele Gordon
(Died April 9, 2012)
Michele Anjanette Gordon passed away April 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Michele was born August 14, 1971 at Clay Center, Ks. to Bryce and Carolyn Brown. She moved to Colorado in 1993. At the time of her passing she was residing in Muncy, Pa.
Being with and raising her children was the true joy of Michele's life. Her friendly, beautiful smile will always warm the hearts she has touched in her journey through life. Michele was a Christian women who is now with our heavenly father our lord. She is survived by her husband Michael Gordon, children Kye Wagoner, Tre Brown, Angelica and Amillia Echave of Muncy, Pa. A daughter Kailyn Wagoner-Boden, husband Adam Boden, two grandsons Blake and Brycen Boden of San Antonio, Tx. She is also survived by her step children Alisha and Nicholas Gordon and Shandon Ramos of Grand Junction, Co.
Also surviving are her parents Bryce and Carolyn Brown of Rifle, Co. A brother Darren Brown, wife Paula Brown and Nephew Dayne Brown and Neice ShaLynn Brown of Home, Ks, her Maternal grandmother Grace Siebold of Linn, Ks. Michele is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many Friends.
A Memorial has been setup to benefit her children. Cards or donations can be sent to Neil Schwenson Rook Funeral Home at Clay Center, Ks.

Evelyn Wava Ruff
(Died April 14, 2012)
EVELYN WAVA RUFF died April 14, 2012 at Sweetlife of Rosehill, Shawnee, KS at the age of 95. She was born on December 15, 1916 in Belleville, WI the daughter of Elmer Cate and Mable Oliver.
Wava was raised in Belleville, Wisconsin and graduated from Belleville High School. She graduated form Methodist Hospital Schol of Nursing in Madison, WI. Wava married
Dr. Carl Ruff on August 20, 1941. During WWII, she worked at Cook County General Hospital in Chicago while Carl was overseas. They moved to Clay Center in 1946. Carl and Wava were instrumental in the development and growth of Hutchinson Manufacturing. Carl preceded her in death on March 18, 1994. Wava was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Nathan Edson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Library Club, Garden Club and PTA. She is also preceded in death by a Son, Evan, 1 brother, LaVern Cate and 1 sister, Wanda Lemons.

Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home, the family will greet friends from 4-6 PM.

LANCY BOYD DAVIS, II died April 16, 2012 near Milford, KS at the age of 39. He was born on June 26, 1972 in Covington, LA the son of Lancy Davis and Vivian Hopkins.
Lancy was raised and attended school in Tallishiek, LA. He served in the US Navy for two years, stationed in Japan and aboard the USS Midway and USS Eisenhower. Lancy worked as a surveyor for Ned Wilson in Mandeville, LA, for Randall Brown, BFM and MPH, all of Louisiana. He was working as a surveyor for Kaw Valley Engineering in Junction City. Lancy married
Ruby Meche on June 26, 1996, she survives of the home.

Warren Welsh

WARREN L. WELSH died April 23, 2012 at his residence in Russell, KS at the age of 68. He was born on December 15, 1943 in Abilene KS, the son of Phillip Welsh and Elsie Vasholtz.
Warren was raised in Eureka and graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1961. He worked for Francis Haas Custom Harvesting and delivered Longford water. Warren served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war. He married
Florentina Diaz and they later divorced. Warren worked in the construction industry on the east coast before moving to Miltonvale in 1973. He worked for Welsh Construction until 1983 when he moved to Russell. Warren Married Karen Zamrzla on February 16, 1988 and she survives of the home. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas.
