Dollie Elizabeth Moore, age 65 and Robert Lee Moore, age 59, husband and wife of Hume, Missouri died Friday October 21, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. Dollie was born on March 23, 1946, at LaFayette, County, Missouri the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Casto Stockdall. She worked as a homemaker. Bob was born on January 29, 1952 at Massilon, Ohio the son of Richard and Waneta Hull Moore. He served his country in the United States Air Force, Army and National Guard. He worked as a boilermaker and was a member of the Boilermaker's Local #83. Bob and Dollie were married on December 24, 1987 at Nevada, Missouri. Together they enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dollie also enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking. They are survived by children, Curtis Cottingham and Glenda of Hume, Missouri, Maria Jeannette Moore-Cowin and Michael of San Antonio, Texas, Stacey Spears and Kenny of Fulton, Kansas, Bob's brother Michael Mooore and Casey of Lavernia, Texas, Dollie's siblings, Raymond, Clarence, Clayton, Charles, William, George, Eunice, Mary, Victoria, Doxie and Margaret, grandchildren Caitlin, Michael II, Benny, Callista, Cassidy, Breanna, Victoria and Michael.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, at the Hume Cemetery, Hume, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Kansas. The family suggests contributions to the Robert and Dollie Moore Memorial Fund, c/o Coffel-Schneider, Box 525, Pleasanton, Kansas, 66075.

Roy Arthur Purvis

Roy Arthur Purvis, age 64, Mound City, Kansas died Sunday November 20, 2011 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1947 at Paola, Kansas the son of Charles Arthur and Doris Hunziker Purvis. He graduated from Mound City High School in 1965. Roy was an Army Veteran serving his country in Vietnam. He married Suzanne Myers on August 9, 1976. He was a member of Mound City First Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans and the National Rifle Association. He worked as an equipment operator for Linn County. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles B. “Bruce” Purvis, and a sister Avalee Stark. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Purvis of the home, a son, Charles Purvis of Blue Mound, Kansas, two daughters, Samantha Ekwuru of Edgerton, Kansas and Megan Willard of Mound City, a sister, Carol Gutierrez of Homeland, California, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church Mission Fund. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City.

Lola Lois McQueen

Lola Lois McQueen age 93, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Saturday November 19, 2011 at the Olathe Medical Center at Olathe, Kansas. She was born on April 13, 1918 at Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Jesse and Naomi Folsom Mitchell. She married Oliver McQueen on November 24, 1934 at Kansas City, Kansas he preceded her in death on March 5, 1987. Lola worked as a homemaker raising seven children, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Pleasanton, Kansas. She was preceded in death also by her parents, three sons; Michael, Martin, and Kenneth McQueen, four grandchildren; Dean McQueen, Sophie Anderson, Jackie Macias, and Sheryl Brown, a brother Claude “sonny” Mitchell, and a sister Virgie Bevan. Survivors include a son Donald McQueen of Pleasanton, Kansas, three daughters; Jean Brown of Kansas City Kansas, Judy Everhart of Pleasanton, Kansas, and Peggy Greenfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a brother JR Mitchell of Pleasanton, Kansas, a sister Louise Burch of Pleasanton, Kansas, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday November 23, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home Pleasanton, Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. .

Robert Lee Godard
Monday November 14, 2011
Robert Lee Godard, 79, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born December 24, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Edmond and Hulda Toeneboehn Godard. Bob graduated from Turner High School.
He married Phyllis Frary and to this union three children were born, Joseph, Jeffrey and Patricia. He later married Neva O’Dell in 1975.
Bob was a self employed business owner all his life, including the Dari Kurl and Vickers Service Station in Pleasanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman, Alvin”Buck” and Raymond “Dodge” Godard; a sister, Marjorie Trowbridge and a step-son, Ernest O’Dell.
Survivors include his wife, Neva of the home; his sons, Joseph Godard & Lisa of Holiday Island, Arkansas, Jeffrey Godard & Dawn of Pleasanton, Kansas; daughter, Patricia Miller of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a brother, Edmond Godard Jr. of Tonganoxie, Kansas; stepdaughters, Kelly Moore of Paola, Kansas and Trina Welch and Bob of Spring Hill, Kansas; eight grandchildren; Eric, Alicia, Ryland, Kyle, Nicholas, Jacob, Cierra and Lucas and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Kansas City, Hospice House.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton, Kansas.

Dennis Lovillo Clay

Dennis L. Clay, age 54, DeSoto, Kansas died Friday November 11, 2011 at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born on October 29, 1957 at Olathe, the son of Alfred F. and Dorothy Makemson Clay. He was most recently employed as a truck driver. He was an Army Veteran. Survivors include a daughter Julie Roberson and grandson Ayden Roberson, and three brothers; Wayne, Duane and Fred Clay. He was preceded in death by a brother Alfred R. Clay and his parents.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Chapel . Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the Schneider Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Midwest Transplant Network c/o, Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, KS 66056. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel.

Harley Elbert Dunsworth

HARLEY DUNSWORTH
Harley Elbert Dunsworth, 87 of Mound City, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his home. He was born May 13, 1924 in Pappinsville, Missouri, the son of John and Margaret Martin Dunsworth. He was a graduate of Mound City High School. He was employed for a number of years as an auto mechanic with Cox Motor Company and Dennis Chevrolet.
Harley married Wanda West Pitts on July 7, 1978.
He was preceded in death by children, Jimmy Howard and Julie, a son, John Dunsworth; a brother, Bueford Dunsworth and a sister, Rose Dunsworth.
Survivors include his wife; Wanda; children, Joyce Pitts and Terry Crump and Janet Kerr; a son, H.L. Dunsworth and two daughters; Norma Dunsworth and Margaret Ann Dunsworth; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
As per Harley’s wishes he was cremated. A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel.
Harley enjoyed fishing regularly with Terry therefore contributions are suggested to the Friends of Mound City Lake c/o Schneider Funeral Home.

Doris Lorraine Henesey

Doris L. Henesey, 93, of Mound City, KS passed away at the Olathe Medical Center Tuesday, November 1st, 2011. She was born November 21st, 1917 to Robert R. and Levah Campbell Boyd in Blue Mound, KS.She was preceded in death by her husband Orval K. Henesey who died November 14, 1973; one great grandson, a brother Robert B. Boyd and sister, Virginia Chapman.She is survived by her daughter Pam (Gary) Schmitz of Mound City, KS, her son, Mike (Brenda) Henesey of Derby, KS, four grandchildren: Doreen Thomas, Kurt Schmitz, Nicole Henesey and Michael Henesey, seven great grandchildren, her sister Reta Milliken of Williamsburg, KS, and sister-in-law Alberta Boyd of Pittsburgh, PA.
She was a member of the Mound City Christian Church, former member of the Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Jolly Dozen Bridge Club.
Visitation will be at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Chapel from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday.
Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, November 5th, 10AM at the Mound City Christian Church with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Mound City. The family suggests contributions to the Mound City Christian Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice c/o Schneider Funeral Home, Box J, Mound City, KS 66056. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Chapel.

Minda Sue Clay

Minda Sue Clay, age 61, passed away on Saturday October 29, 2011 at the Manor Care in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born on February 26, 1950 at Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Howard and Evelyn Beacham McDaniel. She married Henry Clay on August 31, 1979. To this union, two daughters were born. Minda Sue enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Henry Clay of Overland Park, Kansas, two daughters, Rebecca Thomas and Justin, and Nancy Clay all of Freeman, Missouri; five brothers: David, Robert, Richard, John and Carl McDaniel; and two sisters, Lori Cook and Tina McDaniel, five grandchildren and others she considered her own.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 PM until service time at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements: Coffel-Schneider, Mound City, Kansas.

Clarence Adams

Clarence Whitten Adams, 92, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. He was born March 12, 1919 in Pleasanton, Kansas, the son of Homer Harrison and Kittie Mae Whitten Adams. He was a farmer, worked for Frisco Railroad and employed with Farmers & Merchants Bank for 32 years.
Clarence graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1937. He married Fern Mullis on August 9, 1940 and to this union five children were born. She preceded him in death on November 9,1995. He later married Evelyn Russell who also preceded him on December 1, 1999. He then married Alice Mae Wilks.
He was a member of the Bykota Southern Baptist Church in Pleasanton and later the New Life Baptist Church in LaCygne, Kansas.
He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge # 33 of Mound City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death also by a daughter, Donna Mae Vandewynkel and two brothers, Willis and Albert Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Alice of LaCygne, Kansas; one son, Dennis Adams & Judy of Wamego, Kansas; three daughters, Nancy McGinnis of Arvada, Colorado; Lougena Austin & David of Fort Collins, Colorado and Joyce McReynolds & Oren of Fort Scott, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bykota Southern Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton, Kansas.

Jimmy Harris

Jimmy O. Harris, 85, Prescott, Kansas, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born December 14, 1926 at Mulberry, Kansas, the son of Orville and Alice Lowe Harris. He married Betty Wood on December 13, 1947 at Arcadia, Kansas.
Jimmy was a veteran having served with the United States Navy. He was employed as a police officer in Rich Hill and Butler, Missouri and with the Bates and Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, the State Line Peace Officers, National Sheriff’s Association and Missouri Sheriff’s Association.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Alan Harris and one brother, Billy Gene Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; two sons; Jim Harris & Deborah of Prescott, Kansas and Jack Harris & Nancy of Linn Valley, Kansas; two daughters, Linda Parks & Marty of Pleasanton, Kansas and Karen Hopper & Kenneth of Clinton, Missouri; one brother, Donald Harris; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Harris of Garden City, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
As per his wishes Mr. Harris was cremated. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 PM at the Chapel with Rosary at 4:30 PM.
The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.

Randall Frederick Key
Friday December 23, 2011
Randall Frederick Key passed away on Friday December 23, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 2, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA to Frederick Albert Key and Marie Maxine Phillips Key. Randy attended all 12 years at Hume School--even then he was the cook for his class at basketball games, and he loved to dance at all the sock hops. He has kept many close ties with his classmates.
Randy attended college at SMSU in Springfield, MO and Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. He also graduated from Beauty School as a licensed beautician. After ROTC at Pittsburg, he quickly enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1970 where he enjoyed being chief cook. Again he kept in contact with many of his Army buddies throughout the years. For a short time Randy worked for Hartzfelds in Kansas City.
His path of being a beautician led him into the merchandising world where he later owned a women's and a men's clothing store. More importantly, one of his customers became the love of his life, Sandra Lee Graham. On August 10, 1984, they were united in marriage at the Hume Christian Church making their home in Hume, MO.
After his business venture, he worked as a dietician and head cook at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home in Prescott, KS. After 15 years of service at this occupation, Randy was forced to retire due to health complications.
He spent the last four years taking care of his wife; cooking, baking, and making fudge for everyone; and piecing quilts. His phone kept him connected to numerous friends.
Randy is preceded in death by his wife Sandra, his mother and father, and infant sister Rhonda Marie. He is survived by his sister Rhonda Headley (Dale) of Hume, MO and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the Hume Christian Church. Burial will be in the Hume Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the Schneider Funeral Home, Hume Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Hume Community Christmas Lights, or the Randy Key Memorial Fund. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home, Hume Chapel.
