Parsons — Services for Betty Kelsall, 60, Parsons, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons.
Mrs. Kelsall died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Labette County Medical Center in Parsons. She lived in Lawrence for several years.
She was born
Feb. 25, 1945, in Parsons, the daughter of Odon H. and Ellie J. Stinson Wolgamott. She attended school in Parsons.
Mrs. Kelsall worked for Canterbury Inn in Parsons and Lawrence. She attended Assembly of God and Central Avenue Christian Church in Parsons.
She married
Dale Gray in 1967. They divorced. She married
Jerry Kelsall in 1976. He died in 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Melisa Gray, of the home; and a sister, Mary Bush, Siloam Springs, Ark.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Steven Crowe, Mendham, N.J.
1995 - 2005
Mendham, N.J. — Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Crowe, 9, Mendham, will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in Mendham.
Burial will be in Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.
Steven died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, N.J., from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.
He was born
Oct. 28, 1995, in Colts Neck, N.J., the son of Michael and Ellen Kawalek Crowe.
He attended Hilltop Elementary School in Mendham.
He had lived in Lawrence briefly before moving back to New Jersey in 1999.
Steven played football for the Twin Boro Bears, soccer for the West Morris Soccer Club, baseball for Mendham Little League and ice hockey for the Morris County Youth Hockey League.
Survivors include his parents, of the home; two brothers, Matthew and Patrick, of the home; a sister, Rebecca, of the home; paternal grandmother, Marie Crowe, and maternal grandmother, Carol Kawalek.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Mendham.

Madeline Redford Leuty, Lawrence
1916 - 2005
Graveside services for Madeline Redford Leuty, 88, Lawrence, will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery and Mausoleum in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Leuty died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born
Aug. 26, 1916, in Fort Worth, the daughter of Knute and Beulah Tribble Redford.
She graduated from Stripling High School in 1933. She moved to Lawrence in 1986.
Mrs. Leuty was executive director of Government Employees Credit Union in Fort Worth.
She managed the home office for all Sears Department Store's Employee Credit Union from 1961 until she retired in 1986.
She married
Howard W. Leuty in June of 1938. He died in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Sullivan; and close friend Jamie Pettengill, Lawrence.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Richard J. Baranczuk, Overland Park
1943 - 2005
Overland Park — Mass of Christian Burial for Richard J. Baranczuk, 61, Overland Park, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cure' of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood. Inurnment will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Courtyard of Memories in the Compassion Columbarium.
Mr. Baranczuk died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at his home.
He was born
Nov. 15, 1943, in Hrubieszow, Poland, the son of John and Stella Baranczuk. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University and a Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
He received his Ph.D. in endocrinology from the University of Georgia and also received a fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center.
Mr. Baranczuk worked for PRL and owned a research and drug testing laboratory.
He was most recently the CEO of Tumor Imaging Technology.
He married
Anita Skowron. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his parents; a son, R. Christopher; a daughter, Beth Brubeck, Lawrence; a sister, Betty Nowak; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends after the inurnment Saturday at the church.

Paula Lynn Duersch, Lawrence

Paula Lynn Duersch, 55, Lawrence, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Cremation is planned.
She was born
Jan. 1, 1950, in Concordia, the daughter of Paul Burton and Irma Geraldine Strickland Eaton.
She was raised in Concordia and moved to Lawrence in 1965.
Mrs. Duersch worked at Samaritan Lodge as a medication aide and dietary manager from 1966 to 1990. She also worked at Wal-Mart from 1992 to 2002 in sales.
She married
Walter Leroy Howard in 1968. They divorced. She married
Charles Arthur Rockhold on Jan. 5, 1998.
He died in November 1998. She married
David Jerry Duersch on Dec. 31, 2000. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jacinda Henry, Waterville, and Charlea Rockhold, Lawrence; four stepdaughters, Yvonne Rapp, Lawrence, Pat Argueta, Lawrence, Kay Strout, Lawrence, and Jeri Reardo, Overland Park; two stepsons, David Duersch, Winchester, Va., and Art Rockhold, Valley Falls; three brothers, Ben Eaton, Topeka, Terry Eaton, Olathe, and Tom Eaton, Osborne; a sister, Linda Yingling, Beebe, Ark.; six grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Donald A. Glaser, Emporia
1924 - 2005
Emporia — Mass of Christian Burial for Donald A. Glaser, 80, Emporia, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia. Military graveside services will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Glaser died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at his home.
He was born
Dec. 28, 1924, near Spalding, Neb., the son of Albert A. and Mary Langer Glaser.
He graduated from Spalding Academy.
He was an engineering student at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, Purdue University and Emporia State University.
Mr. Glaser served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II from 1944 to 1946.
He helped start Didde-Glaser Inc. in Emporia and retired from there in 1976.
He started Glendo-GRS Corp. in 1977 and retired from there in 1987.
He was an inventor of engraving equipment and a charter member of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America.
Mr. Glaser was a 50-year member of Emporia Lions Club, a past president of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion.
He was a licensed pilot for 60 years and a certified glider pilot.
He married
Mary Rohner on April 2, 1951 in Iowa City, Iowa. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Donald J., Emporia; two daughters, Diane Harrop, Douglas, Wyo., and Deborah Koons, Lawrence; three sisters, Elaine Cannon, Lincoln, Neb., Joan Miriam Glaser, Omaha, Neb., and Mary Helen Cannon, Grand Island, Neb.; two brothers, Alfred and Mick Jerome, both of Spalding, Neb.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.

Pomona — Graveside services for Betty Ruth Hay Cox-Bishop, 82, Pomona, will be at 4 p.m. today at Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona.
Mrs. Cox-Bishop died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.
She was born
March 26, 1923, in Pomona, the daughter of John Loyd and Hazel Courtney Hay.
She attended Boyd School and earned her Certificate of Art from Ottawa University.
Mrs. Cox-Bishop was a homemaker and a seamstress for H.D. Lee in Ottawa for several years.
She was a member of Pomona United Methodist Church.
She married
Lonnie E. Cox on Aug. 22, 1947, in Harrisonville, Mo.
He died May 25, 1968.
She married
Allen William Bishop on Dec. 22, 1973, in Baldwin. He died April 21, 2001.
A son, Edward Cox, died earlier, and a granddaughter died earlier.
Survivors include three sons, Max Cox, Logan, Lonnie Cox Jr., Faulk, Ark., and Michael Cox, Pomona; a daughter, Ruth Oliver, Sedalia, Mo.; a brother, Lowell Hay, Raytown, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nolan L. Johnson, Tulsa, Okla.
1939 - 2005
Graveside services for Nolan L. Johnson, 65, Tulsa, Okla., will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Washington Creek Cemetery in rural Douglas County.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at his home.
He was born
May 19, 1939, in Lawrence, the son of William and Lillian Kentch Johnson.
He formerly lived in southwest Douglas County.
Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked for Pepsi Cola in Tulsa until he retired.
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Finnigin, Beattie; two sons, Nolan L. Jr., and Raymond H., both of Victoria, Texas; three sisters, Ardith Boner, Tulsa, Deloise Lamunyon, Douglass, and Sharon Bickford, Mountain View, Ark.
