Richard J. Millershaski
INGALLS - Vigil service for Richard James Millershaski, 64, will be 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ingalls. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Joseph E. Bahr officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Garden City, with military graveside rites conducted by HHC, 1st Battalion, 13th AR, Fort Riley.
Mr. Millershaski died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Aug. 1, 1937, the son of Bernard "Barney" and Martha Kawalski Millershaski.
A lifetime resident of Ingalls, he was a farmer, rancher and carpenter. He served in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1967 and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ingalls.
On Sept. 9, 1961, he married Marie Baier at Garden City. She survives. He also is survived by four sons, Bruce Millershaski, Montezuma, Gary Millershaski, Lakin, Ralph and Greg Millershaski, both of Ingalls; two daughters, Cindy Laverentz, Ingalls, and Sandy Millershaski, Manhattan; a brother, Don Millershaski, Ingalls; three sisters, Albina Cofer and Rosanna Kinkelaar, both of Dodge City, and Julia Pelton, Wichita; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond Millershaski; and a sister, Nellie Regnier.
Visitation hours are noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Burkhart-Ziegler's Gray County Funeral Chapel, Cimarron, with the family receiving friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel in Dodge City. Mildred L. Hinkle
Mildred Leone Hinkle, 89, of Garden City, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Andover Health Care Center in Andover.
She was born July 5, 1912, at Stockton, the daughter of Leonard and Lulu Dew Marshall. She grew up in Stockton and attended schools there. After graduating from Stockton High School and Fort Hays State University, she taught school for one year in Oberlin before returning to Stockton.
On Dec. 17, 1938, she married Ralph Hinkle at Stockton. They moved to Otis after their marriage and then moved to Garden City in 1944. Due to health reasons, they moved to Wichita in 1997.
Mrs. Hinkle was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Garden City and belonged to the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Winton Marshall, Wichita; a sister, Nella Mae Moss, Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leighton Marshall.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. David Sweley officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St.
Debbie Gottschalk
Debbie Gottschalk, 39, of Leeton, Mo., died Saturday, July 27, 2002, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Colorado.
Born Nov. 29, 1962, at Thornton, Colo., she was the daughter of Dick and Vera McCorkill.
She had been a driver for the Kansas Children's Service League, USD 457 in Garden City, and for the Federal Aviation Administration for several years before moving to Leeton. A homemaker, she had lived in the area for seven years. She especially loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed reading, gardening and her many pets.
She is survived by her parents of Northglenn, Colo.; her husband, Fred Gottschalk, Leeton; two daughters, Amber Lee, of the home, and April Dawn, Kansas City; a son, Frederick Richard, of the home; a brother, Steve McCorkill, Kansas City; a stepdaughter, Crystal of Colorado; and her in-laws, Fred and Judy Gottschalk of Northglenn.
Visitation hours are noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Thornton. The funeral will take place there 10 a.m. Friday. Memorials to the donor's choice may be sent in care of the chapel, 9998 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229.
Marge D. Kuttler
TRIBUNE - Marge D. Kuttler, 69, died today, July 31, 2002, at Greeley County Long Term Care Unit in Tribune.
She was born Jan. 10, 1933, at Wamego, the daughter of Louie Arthur Garfield and May Elizabeth Harris Ewing.
A homemaker, she had been a longtime Greeley County resident. She belonged to the United Methodist Church of Tribune and Order of Eastern Star at Garden City.
On June 1, 1951, she married Ross Kuttler at Wamego. He survives. She also is survived by a daughter, Kassandra Kleymann, Tribune; a sister, Betty Lou Roggenkamp, Lincoln, Neb.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. MDT Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Tribune. Inurnment will be in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.

John R. Leonard
John R. Leonard, 56, a former Garden City resident, died Monday, July 22, 2002.
A Wichita resident, he was the general bookstore manager at Wichita State University.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; a son, Mark Leonard of Lawrence; two sisters, Dawn Wilkey, Lyons, and Billie Unruh, McPherson; and his parents, Bill and Dellabelle Leonard, McPherson.
Funeral was 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Wichita.
Watson Funeral Home, Wichita, was in charge of arrangements.
Mina O. Kelley
LAKIN - Funeral for Mina O. Kelley, 92, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Lakin, with the Rev. David Sweley officiating. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelley died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin.
She was born Jan. 14, 1910, in Kearny County, the daughter of Varner Shore and Amanda Melinda Morris Paddack. She graduated from Lakin High School in 1928, attended Kansas State University for two years and then graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
A lifetime resident of Kearny County and Lakin, Mrs. Kelley taught third grade in Lakin for 13 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lakin, United Presbyterian Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Sons and Daughters of the Soddies. She enjoyed music, sang in the church choir for many years and also enjoyed playing the piano and gardening.
On April 28, 1935, she married Ted F. Kelley at Kansas City, Mo. He died Aug. 29, 1984. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Clarence T. Kelley; four brothers, Ralph, Lowell, Lofton and Merle Paddack; and a sister, Vivian Thomas.
She is survived by a son, Ted F. Kelley, Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Mina Mae Soltz, Denver; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours are 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home, Lakin, with the family at the funeral home to visit with friends. Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church Music Fund, in care of the funeral home, 508 N. Main St., Lakin, KS 67860.
Ruby Mae Perry
LEOTI - Ruby Mae Perry, 85, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Greeley County Long Term Care Unit in Tribune.
She was born Sept. 16, 1916, at Genterville, Mo., the daughter of James Earl and Gertrude Cleveland Sullivan Kirk.
A homemaker, she had been a Leoti resident since 1936. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge No. 721, both at Leoti.
On Aug. 6, 1938, she married Dale Donald Perry at Lamar, Colo. He died Aug. 18, 1986. She also was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Don Perry, Leoti; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Kirk, Winona; and a sister, Hazel Barksdale, Lincoln, Neb.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Leoti, with the Rev. Paul McNall officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery
with Rebekah graveside rites conducted.

Adelina Lopez
Rosary for Adelina Lopez, 68, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Funeral and burial is planned for later in Yurecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico.
Mrs. Lopez died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at her home in Garden City.
She was born Dec. 28, 1933, at Yurecuaro, the daughter of Vicente Gutierrez Villa and Magdalena Lopez Sisneros.
She is survived by four sons, four daughters, 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
Alta 'Geannie' Orebaugh
Funeral for Alta "Geannie" Orebaugh, 47, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Ashland, with the Revs. Don Hasty and Joe Conaway officiating. Private family burial is planned for later.
Mrs. Orebaugh died Friday, July 26, 2002, at her home in Ashland.
She was born Jan. 7, 1955, at Plainview, Texas, the daughter of Alvin and Helen Howard. She attended school in Plainview.
A homemaker, she had previously lived in Scott City. She was an EMT and police dispatcher, Head Start teacher and former owner/operator of Pretty Petals Flower Shop, all at Scott City. She had been a counselor at Cross Roads Halfway House at Garden City, an assistant teacher at Rainbow Connection Preschool at Ashland, volunteered at Tabitha House in Ashland and worked at Ashland Floral. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ashland.
In 1967, she married Clyde Howard Jr. at Plainview. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Robert Wesley, James Thomas Wesley and George Freeman.
On Nov. 19, 1993, she married Jerry Duayne Orebaugh at Garden City.
Survivors include two sons, Alvin Howard, Scott City, and Terry Howard, Laverne, Okla.; two stepsons, Jeff and Joey Orebaugh, both of Garden City; a daughter, Reginia Howard, Ashland; a stepdaughter, Suzie Orebaugh, Manhattan; her stepmother, Aletha Emma Howard, Ennis, Texas; three brothers, W.L. Wesley of Cunningham, Wiley and Davey Wesley, both of Garden City; four half brothers, Clinton Howard, Lake Jackson, Texas, Roy Howard, Dennison, Texas, Tony Howard, Blooming Grove, Texas, and Marty Howard, Tennessee Colony, Texas; four sisters, Margaret Pierce, El Paso, Texas, Patsy McDaniels, Tyrone, Okla., Ada West, New Orleans, and Denise Denton, Ingalls; a half sister, Kathy Hale, Collinsville, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
