Paul Harrison White
PIERCEVILLE - Paul Harrison White, 64, of Pierceville, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born July 6, 1937, at Cedar Vale, the son of John R. and Verna A. Huddle White.
A Pierceville resident since 1966, moving from Winfield, he worked as a manager for the Pierceville Co-op Elevator for 20 years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Marines.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa White, Copeland; a brother, Harold White, Florida; and a sister, Kay Yockey, Seattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pierceville Federated Church, with the Rev. Charles Wagner officiating.
Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette, is in charge of arrangements.
Neville 'Bing' Bingham
Neville "Bing" Bingham, 74, a former Garden City resident, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at his home in Topeka.
He was born Dec. 4, 1927, at Lima, Ohio, the son of Marion Clark and Ruth River Bingham.
Mr. Bingham moved from Garden City to Topeka in 1953. He was employed by several body shops in Topeka, including Edsall Body Shop and Jayhawk Body Shop from which he retired. He also restored antique cars and built race car bodies, and was known for building the first micro midget race car in Topeka.
He was a member of Topeka Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and played lead guitar in the Shawnee Showman, a band that did volunteer work in various nursing homes in Topeka and for the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center. The band also played professionally.
On April 9, 1950, he married Arlene Corrigan at Garden City. She survives. He is also survived by a son, Stephen Paul Bingham, Topeka; two daughters, Diana R. Wagner, Topeka, and Vicky Swaim, Silver Lake; five brothers, Kenneth, George and Sylvan Bingham, all of Topeka, Jack Bingham, Phoenix, and Allan Bingham, Scranton; three sisters, Evelyn Barngrover, Dorothy Sayles and Carolyn Ralph, all of Topeka; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Topeka Baptist Church, followed by burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Bingham will lie in state after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Topeka Baptist Church or Child Evangelism Fellowship, both in care of the funeral home, 800 SW Sixth St., Topeka, KS 66603-3183.
Margaret Louise Pile
TRIBUNE - Margaret Louise Pile, 95, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Greeley County Hospital in Tribune.
She was born Feb. 26, 1907, at Partridge, the daughter of Clyde Prentiss and Anna Catherine Whitson Smith.
A homemaker, she served as Greeley County Registrar of Deeds from 1941 to 1948 and as Greeley County Clerk of the District Court from 1960 until her retirement in 1972. She was also a writer and columnist for the Greeley County Republican, with the byline "More of My Memories." She was instrumental in the origination of the "Sands of Time" room at the Greeley County Courthouse.
Mrs. Pile was a member of the United Methodist Church of Tribune.
On Dec. 9, 1931, she married Clettis N. Hoffman. He died July 15, 1937, at Tribune. On Feb. 10, 1948, she married Ross Pile. He died Sept. 20, 1958, at Tribune. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen; and two children, Keith Hoffman and Twila Rose Hoffman.
Survivors include a son, Darwin Hoffman, Tribune; a stepson, Earl Pile, Garden City; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Cowden, Ordway, Colo., and Elaine Stephens, Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Tribune, with the Rev. Keith Fink officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Visitation hours are from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Tribune. Memorials are suggested to the church or Greeley County Long Term Care Unit, both in care of the funeral home.
Mary Lee Brewer
ULYSSES - Funeral for Mary Lee Brewer, 96, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Ulysses, with the Rev. David Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Ulysses Cemetery.
Mrs. Brewer died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
She was born Sept. 28, 1905, at Jay, Okla., the daughter of Sam and Lou Clark Robison. She graduated from high school at Southwest City, Mo.
A Grant County resident since 1926, she was a longtime member of Moscow United Methodist Church before becoming a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ulysses. She also belonged to the SEG Club, Cimarron Grange, 4-H Council of Ulysses, Grant County EHU, Moscow United Methodist Women and the Moscow Birthday Club. A homemaker, she enjoyed quilting, tatting, crocheting and embroidery work, was well known for her cooking, and loved tending her flowers and gardening.
On May 21, 1926, she married Eual Paul Brewer at Pineville, Mo. He died in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law.
Survivors include three sons, Max Ellis Brewer, Colby, Ralph Wesley Brewer and Gary Eugene Brewer, both of Moscow; a daughter, Eula Pauline Boylan, Ulysses; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law.

Ila Ann Adams
DEERFIELD - Ila Ann Adams, 65, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Mercy Health Center in Manhattan.
She was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Finney County, the daughter of Elijah Leo and Carrie Estelle Foreman Martin.
A lifetime area resident, she was a retired office manager. She belonged to the United Methodist Church of Deerfield and enjoyed arts and crafts, outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and her children's dogs. She especially enjoyed meeting new people while traveling with her husband.
She and Bob Adams were married June 13, 1954, at Holcomb. He survives. She is also survived by a son, Shane Adams, Lawrenceville, Ill.; a daughter, LeAnn Miller, Sandia Park, N.M.; two brothers, Kent Martin, Lakin, and Scott Martin, Holcomb; three sisters, Carol Klaus and Ardyth Gillam, both of Garden City, and Lynn Manske, Council Bluffs, Iowa; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. David Bolz officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Garden City.

Lucas Miles Farmer
HUGOTON - Lucas Miles Farmer, 1-year-old son of John and Elsa Farmer of Rolla, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born June 8, 2001, at Ulysses.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a stepbrother, Arturo Jimenez, Rolla; three stepsisters, Melanie and Kelli Farmer, both of Hugoton, and Airon Koehn, Ulysses; and his grandparents, Don and Ruth Farmer, Hugoton, Sara Del Carmen, Mexico, Charles and Sylvia Hinklin, Cotopaxi, Colo.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Assembly Of God Church, Hugoton, with the Rev. Robert Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Hugoton Cemetery.

Bohumil 'B.F.' Vsetecka
SCOTT CITY - Vigil prayer service for Bohumil Frank "B.F." Vsetecka, 74, will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City, with the Rev. David H. Kraus officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Timken, with the Rev. Ultan Murphy officiating.
Mr. Vsetecka died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
He was born Feb. 16, 1928, at Ash Valley, the son of Emil and Amelia Zaboj Vsetecka.
A Scott City resident since 1948, moving from Great Bend, he was a manager at Quick Mix Concrete for more than 44 years.
Mr. Vsetecka was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both at Scott City, belonged to the Western Bohemian Lodge, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. An avid baseball fan, he helped start the Scott City Little League.
On April 6, 1948, he married June L. LaVone Newcomer at LaCrosse. She survives. He is also survived by three sons, Tom Vsetecka, Wichita, Galen Vsetecka, Garden City, and Rob Vsetecka, Lawrence; two daughters, Terri Jantz, Holcomb, and Kayla Steffens, Imperial, Calif.; three brothers, Joe Vsetecka, WaKeeney, Bill Vsetecka, Hutchinson, and Leonard Vsetecka, Brunswick, Ga.; and a sister, Helen Suchy, Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Albert Goff Jr.
Graveside service for Albert Isaac Goff Jr., 61, was Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Mr. Goff died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at a Richland Hills hospice in Fort Worth, Texas
He was born Nov. 22, 1940, at Kincaid, the son of Albert and Carrie Hasting Goff. He moved to Garden City in 1954 and then joined the U.S. Army in 1958. After marrying Marjorie Faye Schrimp at Hutchinson, they moved to California and then to Fort Worth. Mr. Goff was a self-employed construction contractor.
Survivors include a son, Denny Goff, Fort Worth; three daughters, Lisa Rivera and Denise Blackburn, both of Fort Worth, and Valerie Goff; 12 grandchildren; nine sisters, Betty Jackson, Nellie Goff and Beverly Goff, all of Garden City, Rose Seeger, Hutchinson, Dora Newby, Chautauqua, Edna Goff of Lawrence, Maudie Seeger, Lakin, Dotty Schrimp and Barbara Goff, both of South Hutchinson.; and two brothers, Norman Goff, Hutchinson, and Kenneth Goff, Ark City. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Becky Bunting; a daughter, Rebecca Goff; and a brother, Don Goff.
Jeanette Wiatt
LAKIN - Funeral for Jeanette Wiatt, 69, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Lakin, with the Rev. David Bolz officiating. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiatt died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.
She was born May 28, 1933, at Rosston, Okla., the daughter of George J. and Edna M. Terbush Seeger. Her early years were spent in Rosston before the family moved to Lakin in 1948. She graduated from Lakin High School and then attended college after marrying Edward E. Wiatt on June 7, 1953, at Lakin.
Mrs. Wiatt was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lakin and the American Contract Bridge League. Her special interests included playing bridge, traveling, reading, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Mark Edward Wiatt, Truth or Consequences, N.M., and William Iman Wiatt, Orange, Calif.; a daughter, Kitra Dee Roth, Honolulu; her mother, a brother, George C. Seeger, and a sister, JoAnne Schulmann, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Don Seeger.
