Alberta Pauline Plush
Funeral for Alberta Pauline Plush, 91, of Kingman, was to be at 2 p.m. today at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with the Rev. John Schmitt officiating. Burial was to be in Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.
Mrs. Plush died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Kingman Community Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1910, at Wichita, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Wilson) Laurie.
A longtime resident of the Kingman community, she was a retired teacher in the Belmont, Murdock and Isabel school systems. She was a member of Kingman United Methodist Church.
On April 30, 1932, she married Warren Plush. He died Dec. 25, 1983.
She is survived by a son, Richard, Wichita; two daughters, Dixie Cornelius, Garden City, and Barbara Wohlford, Kingman; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Kingman United Methodist Church or Wheatlands Healthcare Center, both in care of the funeral home.
Dionicio R. Rios
SATANTA - Dionicio R. Rios, 76, of Satanta, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001 at Satanta District Hospital.
The son of Luis and Epigma (Ramos) Rios, he was born Feb. 11, 1925 at Ojinaga, Mexico.
He and Juana Juarez were married Feb. 15, 1950 in Ojinaga, Mexico. They moved to the Satanta area in 1973, where he worked for the Miller Feedyard before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother.
Survivors include three sons, Apolonio Rios and his wife, Margarita, Satanta, Jose Rios and his wife, Araceli, Liberal, Manuel Rios and his wife Nancy, Satanta; three daughters, Rita Uriquidi and her husband Javier, Satanta, Maria Aranjo and her husband, Alvaro, Satanta, Gaudalupe Garcia and her husband, Ramon, Juliet, Ill.; one brother Luis Rios, Mexico; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the family and may be left at the Shopping Stop True Value, Satanta, or mailed to Haskell County Funeral Home, Box 607, Sublette.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sinai Pentecostal Holiness Church, Sublette, with Pastor Felix Salazar presiding. The burial will follow in the Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Haskell County Funeral Home.
Lawrence R. "Larry" Proehl
Lawrence R. "Larry" Proehl, 50, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at his home in Garden City.
Mr. Proehl was born Nov. 10, 1950, at Emporia, the son of Lester E. and Vera (Tietz) Proehl. A lifetime Finney County resident, he was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Larrod Proehl of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Shanda Wright, Canyon, Texas, and Stefanie Purtle, Havelock, N.C.; his mother of Pierceville; three brothers, Russell and Allen K. Proehl, both of Pierceville, and Steven Proehl, Cimarron; two sisters, Marjorie Frey, Emporia, and Naomi Holloway, Hutchinson; and two grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be at the Pierceville Cemetery
with the Rev. Charles Wagher officiating. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Pierceville Federated Church from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the Larry Proehl Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
Carla A. Domitz
POCATELLO, Idaho - Carla A. Domitz, 54, of Pocatello died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Oct. 4 near Idaho Falls.
Mrs. Domitz was born on Dec. 24, 1946, at Topeka, Kan., to Edwin and Ethel (Munzer) Hooper. She married Gary L. Domitz on March 25, 1967, at Eskridge, Kan.
She attended schools in Garden City and graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with a degree in secondary education and from Idaho State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught both first and second grades at Bonneville Elementary School in Pocatello, where she had previously been a teacher's assistant in the Montessori Program. She has been at Bonneville since 1977. She was a member of the Idaho and Pocatello Teachers Education Association, a member of Phi Delta Kappa Gamma, co-founder of CHADD (a support group for attention deficit disorder).
Carla spearheaded the Language Olympics Program, was chairwoman of the Bonneville Elementary Science Fair, on the District Science Mapping Committee, on the District No. 25 Textbook Adoption Committee, and was the finalist for the J.R. Simplot Teacher of the Year Award. She loved animals, reading and handcrafts. She and her husband loved traveling, especially their annual visits to Yellowstone National Park.
She, along with her husband Gary, was a member of the Southeast Idaho Gem and Mineral Society, the State Historical Society, and the Friends of the Museum of Natural History at ISU. They also were members of the First United Methodist Church, where they co-chaired the Missions Committee, and provided transportation to Sunday meetings for some of the church members.
Survivors include a son, Joshua Jeremiah Domitz, Pocatello; two daughters Deborah Vieira of Reno, Nev., and Pamela S. Domitz of Pocatello; her parents, Edwin and Ethel Hooper of Garden City; a brother, Jim Hooper of Wichita; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Freeman of Pocatello.
The funeral service was to be at 3 p.m. Oct. 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Pocatello, with the Rev. Tom H. Tate conducting. Burial was to be at Mountainview Cemetery.

Gary L. Domitz
POCATELLO, Idaho - Gary L. Domitz, 58, of Pocatello died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Oct. 4 near Idaho Falls.
Mr. Domitz was born April 27, 1943, at Joplin, Mo., to Earl LeRoy and Vera Dean (Coss) Domitz. He graduated from Emporia State Teachers College, where he received his master's in library science.
He married Carla Hooper on March 25, 1967, at Eskridge, Kan.
Gary had been employed at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., as a librarian. He had served at Idaho State University since 1971, as social science librarian, and most recently as special collections librarian. He was an avid "rock hound" and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with elementary school students. He was a member, along with his wife, of the Southeast Idaho Gem and Mineral Society.
Mr. Domitz was appointed twice by the governor of Idaho to the State Historical Records Advisory Board. He also was a member of the Idaho Library Association, Western Association of Map Libraries, Society of American Archivists and a member of the Conference of Intermountain Archivists. Gary authored several bibliographies of Idaho history, published by Idaho State University.
He was a member of the State Historical Society, serving as past president, and a member of the Friends of the Museum of Natural History Association at ISU.

Ruth M. Williams
Ruth M. Williams, 90, of Garden City died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Governors Park Nursing Home in Barrington, Ill.
Mrs. Williams was born on May 5, 1911, at Clyde, the daughter of James B. and Harriet U. (Tolin) Sager. She married Arthur C. Williams on Oct. 9, 1933, at Clay Center. He died Feb. 8, 1991.
She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Garden City and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Ruth grew up and graduated from high school at Clyde. She received her teaching degree at Fort Hays State College. She taught at Clyde for three years.
Mrs. Williams lived in Glasco and Herrington before moving to Garden City in 1942. From 1956 until 1960 she lived in Syracuse and then moved back to Garden City. She taught fourth grade and remedial reading at Buffalo Jones School in Garden City for nine years and retired in 1973. Her special interest was reading.
Survivors include three sons, Jack A. Williams and William J. Williams, both of Lake Zurich, Ill., and David S. Williams, Stafford, Va.; a sister, Betty Tunnell of Lander, Wyo.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Larry Steadman officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
