L. Keith Wendt
TRIBUNE - The funeral service for L. Keith Wendt, Tribune, will be at 2 p.m. MST Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Tribune, with the Rev. Michael Underwood officiating.
L. Keith Wendt, 74, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Wendt was born on Nov. 5, 1926, at Tribune, the son of Henry F. and Mabel E. (Wetzel) Wendt.
He was a farmer and had been a lifetime resident of Greeley County.
On Nov. 26, 1958, he married Cathrine Nickel at Miami, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Gerald Wendt, Tribune; a daughter, Melodie Rauch, Tribune; three stepsons, Richard Martin, Clairmore, Okla., Jim Martin, Havelock, N.C., and Charles Martin, Orlando, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Martin, Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Gene Wendt, San Diego, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Friends may call from until 8 tonight and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune.
Memorials may be given to Greeley County Home Health Care or the Greeley County EMTs in care of the funeral home.
Adele T. Angell
PLAINS - Graveside services for Adele T. Angell will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Plains Cemetery.
Mrs. Angell, 91, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was born on Oct. 28, 1909, at Plains, the daughter of Everett and Mamie (Keene) Edwards. She lived most of her life at Plains before moving to Colorado Springs in 1972.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and graduated from Plains High School in 1928.
On Jan. 3, 1928, she married C. Francis Angell at Santa Anna, Calif. He died Nov. 24, 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Wayne Angell, Washington, D.C., and Charlie and Royce Angell, both of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Lynda Williams, Washington, D.C.; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfie and Cecil Edwards.
Fidler-Orme Mortuary, Meade, is in charge of arrangements.
Patsy "Pat" Yvonne (Scarbrough) Evans
SATANTA - Patsy "Pat" Yvonne (Scarbrough) Evans, 64, Satanta, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, in an auto accident in rural Seward County.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1937, at Muleshoe, Texas, the daughter of Henry R. and Juanita L. (Jackson) Scarbrough.
She married Bill J. Evans on Nov. 29, 1953, at Muleshoe. They moved from Gruver, Texas, to Satanta in 1967.
Mrs. Evans loved her family and they were her number one priority. She took pride in her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. She was outgoing, had a good sense of humor and made people laugh. She enjoyed going to rodeo's with her family, cooking, raising flowers and doing yard work. She had a collection of carousel horses. She enjoyed crocheting and giving her handmade gifts to family and friends to treasure. Christmas was a special time of year for her as she enjoyed decorating and sharing with her family. She also enjoyed family reunions.
She was a computer operator for the Sublette Feeders mill.
Survivors include her husband of Satanta; three sons, Gary Evans, Moscow, Kan., and Shorty and Steve Evans, both of Satanta; a daughter, Kay Evans, Spearman, Texas; her mother of Muleshoe; three brothers, Jim Scarbrough, Shirley, Fla., Robbie Scarbrough, Washington, D.C., and Dick Scarbrough, Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Joyce Williams, Muleshoe, and Janet Hays, Lubbock, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Wayne Scarbrough; a granddaughter, Skeeter Evans; and a brother-in-law, Billy Williams.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Satanta, with the Rev. Larry Myers presiding. Burial will be in the Dudley Township, Satanta.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette, is in charge of arrangements.
Carl Reling
ULYSSES - Funeral services for Carl Reling, Ulysses, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Ulysses, with the Rev. Barry Durkee presiding. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan.
Carl Reling, 85, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.
He was born on May 12, 1915, at Cawker City, the son of August Carl and Anna Valeria (Buche) Reling.
Mr. Reling had attended rural coutry school and graduated from Cawker City High School in 1933. He was a resident of Manhattan from 1950 until 1998, when he moved to Ulysses. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre, including Anzio Beachhead. He received five Battle Campaign Stars and a Bronze Arrowhead. He was a member of the Manhattan VFW Post 1786, and the United Methodist church of Manhattan and Ulysses. He was a printer for the Manhattan Mercury newspaper for more than 30 years. As a young adult, he was a member of the Cottonwood Trio. He played the guitar, banjo, clarinet, harmonica, piano, accordian and fiddle. Throughout his life he was a talented artist and natural musician.
On April 29, 1950, he married Clorene Planet at Kansas City, Mo. She died Jan. 6, 1998, at Manhattan.
Survivors include a son, Michael Reling, Costa Mesa, Calif.; a daughter, Ginny Young, Ulysses; a stepson, Dr. Edward Bowdon, Plano, Texas; a brother, Vernon Reling, Cawker City; a sister, Elizabeth Boxum, Lynden, Wash.; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Reling, Cawker City, and Tresa Wisdom, Butler, Mo.; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Reling.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses.

Marcia Arline (Killfoil) Mills
Marcia Arline (Killfoil) Mills, 60, Winfield, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Via Christi/St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.
Mrs. Mills was born on Sept. 8, 1940, at Garden City, the daughter of Charles Michael and Thelma Irene (Cross) Killfoil. Because of her father's employment with the railroads, she was raised and educated in various Kansas communities, including Pierceville, Ingalls and Garden City.
On June 15, 1956, she married Jimmy Wilford Mills at Minneola, and the couple made their home in Garden City. They spent most of their time in Garden City, however they did move around some. They were divorced in 1982.
A lifelong homemaker, Marcia had been a resident of Winfield since 1985. Her interests included crafts and embroidery, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Terry Mills, Eudora, Jerry and Charles Mills, both of Arkansas City, and Jimmy Mills Jr., Winfield; four daughters, Donna Othoudt, Latham, Judy Crabtree, Winfield, Katie Ball, Rock, and Mary Mills of Arkansas City; her stepfather, Orval Lee Mills, Newkirk, Okla.; her stepmother, Annabelle Sturdevant, Garden City; five sisters, Myrna Ramirez, Newkirk, Bertia Bruno, Tonkawa, Okla., Evis Duchardt, Grand Marsh, Wis., Eda Ewing, Satanta, and Evelyn Brooks, St. Joseph, Mo.; and 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; a brother, Carl Mills; and a sister, Karen Moss.
Funeral services were to be at 2:30 p.m. today at Highland Cemetery, Winfield.
Memorials have been established in her name for the Cancer Center of Kansas. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service, Winfield.
