Mary A. Rosproy
Daughters of Isabella rosary for Mary A. Rosproy, 82, a former Garden City resident, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville, with vigil service at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Robert A. Schremmer officiating.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Spearville.
Mrs. Rosproy, of Spearville, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City.
She was born Dec. 31, 1917, at McCracken, the daughter of James L. and Rose (Hearity) Casey.
A Spearville resident since 1963, moving from Dodge City, she had worked as a bookkeeper for Western Power at Dodge City, Fidelity Bank at Garden City, and First National Bank at Spearville.
Mrs. Rosproy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society and Minerva Club, all at Spearville.
On Oct. 6, 1962, she married Eugene Rosproy at Dodge City.
He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Bill Burton, Dodge City, and John Burton, Hawaii; a daughter, Louise Gall, Dodge City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Casey, Jim Casey and Leo Casey; and a sister, Eleanor Brenner.
Visitation hours are from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Burkhart Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, and from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Lucy Wilma "Jim" Marshall
Funeral for Lucy Wilma "Jim" Marshall, 94, will be 10 this morning at Stonewall (Okla.)
First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Holt Sodeman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.
She died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses.
She was born Oct. 2, 1906, at Gordonville, Texas, the daughter of John and Marry Ellen "Mattie" (Price) Marshall.
She attended schools in Stonewall.
A resident of Stonewall since 1911, she moved to Kansas in 1998.
She was a homemaker, a nanny and a member of Stonewall First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Marshall of Manter, and several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Western Prairie Care Home, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant St., Ulysses, KS 67880.
William J. McNitt
ULYSSES - William J. McNitt, 70, of Ulysses, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 9, 1930, at Syracuse, the son of Wayne D. and Ester (Clore) McNitt.
He graduated from Syracuse High School and from the University of Oklahoma with a pharmacy degree.
A resident of Ulysses since 1959, he worked for Minor Drug Store until buying it in 1964 and changing the name to McNitt Drug.
He sold the store in 1984. He was a former pharmacy director at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses and substituted as a part-time pharmacist there.
Mr. McNitt was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he was a former trustee and served on the nominating committee.
He was the vice chairman for the board of directors of the Grant County Senior Center, was the Grant County representative of the Silver Haired Legislature, a member of the Ulysses American Legion and the Kansas Pharmaceutical Association, and served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
On Sept. 14, 1950, he married Joy C. Swisher at Syracuse.
She died June 10, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by a son, Jay D. McNitt, Leawood; a daughter, Vicki J. Reeves, Lawrence; his mother, Syracuse; three brothers, Dallas McNitt, Ulysses, Jim McNitt, Oklahoma City, and Gene McNitt, Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Mary Sullins, Syracuse; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Ulysses, with Dr. Max Clayton officiating.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. CST Tuesday in Syracuse Cemetery.
Visitation hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses.

Keith M. Pucket
ULYSSES - Funeral for Keith M. Pucket, 80, was scheduled for today at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses, with the Rev. Bill Harrold officiating.
Burial was to be in Ulysses Cemetery.
Mr. Pucket died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born Feb. 28, 1920, at Larned, the son of Warner Lee and Bessie A. (Saxton) Pucket.
A farmer, he had been a resident of Ulysses since August 1927.
He was a former 4-H leader and was active in the American Agriculture Movement.
On May 26, 1947, he married Ida L. Moore at Ulysses. She died Oct. 5, 1988.
He is survived by two sons, Steven K. Pucket, Lakin, and Daryl M. Pucket, Ulysses; a daughter, Beverly Ann Coffey, Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Cecil Pucket and Dale Pucket, both of Ulysses; and eight grandchildren.

Ruby Ruth Gerstner
KENDALL - Funeral for Ruby Ruth Gerstner, 80, a former Kendall resident, was to be 10 this morning at Bryant-Christians Chapel, Great Bend, with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating.
Burial was to be 3:30 p.m. MST today in Syracuse Cemetery.
Mrs. Gerstner died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at her home in Great Bend.
She was born Nov. 7, 1920, at Redwing, the daughter of David A. and Bertie M. (Clift) Ruble.
In 1938, she married William Willinger in Kingman County.
On Jan. 6, 1977, she married Fred Gerstner at Raton, N.M. He died Nov. 3, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Willinger; and five brothers, Sam Ruble, John Ruble, Herb Ruble, Bill Ruble and Ray Ruble.
A Barton County area resident since 1968, moving from Kendall, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Robert Willinger, Stockton, Mo.; two daughters, Roberta Stull, Garland, Texas, and Janet Ramsey, Holyrood; a brother, Jim Dennis, Satanta; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
