Gene Stoltzfus
Memorial service for Gene Stoltzfus, 68, a former Garden City resident, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church, Buhler. Nick Rempel and Brent Warkentin, pastors, will officiate. Private family graveside service in Buhler Cemetery
will precede the memorial service.
Mr. Stoltzfus, of Hutchinson, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Nov. 3, 1931, at Manson, Iowa, the son of Chris and Martha (Swartzendruber).
A Hutchinson resident since 1995, moving from Garden City, he sold pianos and organs until becoming a piano technician in 1985. He was a member of Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church and a former member of the Piano Tuners Guild.
He is survived by his wife, LaDonna (Zehr) Stoltzfus, whom he married on Dec. 24, 1955; three daughters, Connie Oswald and Barbara Meyer, both of Hutchinson, and Judy Morris of Murdock; his stepmother, Elizabeth Stoltzfus, Gooshen, Ind.; two brothers, Larry Stoltzfus, Larkspur, Colo., and Martin Soltzfus, Iowa City, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation hours are until 8 tonight at Buhler Mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 tonight. Memorials are suggested to Central Christian School, in care of the mortuary, 120 N. Main St., Buhler, KS 67522.
Charlotte Ann Lloyd
Funeral for Charlotte Ann Lloyd, 44, of Stinnett, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Baptist Church, Borger, Texas, with the Rev. Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Stinnett.
Mrs. Lloyd died Monday, March 20, 2000, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on U.S. Highway 136, 10 miles south of Fritch, Texas.
A Garden City native, she had lived in Stinnett for 21 years. She was a business office manager at Golden Plains Community Hospital and a member of Riverview Baptist Church.
On Nov. 9, 1979, she married Melvin Lloyd at Stinnett. He survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer Lloyd, of the home; her mother and stepfather, Odilia Wasinger-Stalter and Fred Stalter, Garden City; two stepsons, David Lloyd-Newton and Scott Lloyd-Newton, both of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Joanne Roth, Two Buttes, Colo., and Diane Wasinger, Olathe; a stepsister, Susan Barb, Garden City; and a stepbrother, Bob Stalter, Garden City.

Velma B. Schneider
Funeral for Velma B. Schneider, 78, of Ellsworth, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, with the Rev. Gary C. Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery.
Mrs. Schneider died Monday, March 20, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Retirement Village-Villa Hope, Ellsworth.
She was born March 26, 1921, in Lincoln County, the daughter of John and Adelia (Burmeister) Schaefer.
A lifetime resident of Ellsworth County, she was a retired legal secretary for Peterson and Kasper. She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Womens Missionary League and the Willing Workers, was past president of the VFW Auxiliary, and served on the board for the AARP and the Senior Center.
On Sept. 8, 1946, she married Elmer Schneider at Ellsworth. He died May 27, 1984.
She is survived by a son, Alan Schneider, Gardner; two daughters, Sue McAtee, New Castle, Ind., and Jan Fox, Garden City; a brother, Robert Schaefer, Holyrood; a sister, Norma Blackett, Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours are until 8 tonight and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church or the VFW Auxiliary, both in care of the funeral home.
Caryol Ann Streeter
INGALLS -- Funeral for Caryol Ann Streeter, 60, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ingalls Community Bible Church, with the Rev. Mike Whalen officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Mo., at a later date.
Mrs. Streeter died Monday, March 20, 2000, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
She was born Sept. 1, 1939, at Humboldt, the daughter of Daniel Monroe and Bessie Mae (Card) Campbell.
An Ingalls resident since 1968, moving from Humboldt, she was a homemaker and belonged to Ingalls Community Bible Church.
On Feb. 17, 1961, she married Donald Lee "Donnie" Streeter at Humboldt. He died June 24, 1997.
She is survived by three sons, Milton, Danny and Randy, all of Ingalls; a daughter, Donna Farr, Marysville, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Loretta Jean Billinger
Vigil service for Loretta Jean Billinger, 40, will be 7:30 tonight at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Garden City, followed by rosary. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. Joseph Bahr and Gilbert Herrman officiating. Inurnment will take place 3 p.m. CST Wednesday in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Miss Billinger died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at her home in Garden City.
She was born Jan. 17, 1960, at Tribune, the daughter of Edwin and Leona (Dinkel) Billinger. She graduated from Greeley County High School in 1977 and from Brown Mackie Business College in 1979.
A resident of Garden City since 1981, moving from Tribune, she worked as a sales associate for Purnell's Fabric & Clothing Store and for Hoover's Dress Shop, and was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by her parents, Garden City; two brothers, Eddie Billinger, Salina, and David Billinger, Tribune; a sister, Lila Anderson, Salina; and several aunts and uncles.
There will be no visitation. Memorials to the Loretta Jean Billinger Memorial Fund may be sent in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St.
Anna D. Burgess
SCOTT CITY -- Anna D. Burgess, 101, of Scott City, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.
She was born July 15, 1898, in Graham County, the daughter of August William and Amelia Klara (Feuer) Haferland. She grew up in Graham and Norton counties and was a high school graduate.
On Aug. 11, 1920, she married Clifford H. Burgess at Lenora. They made their home in Lenora and other area towns where her husband was a depot agent for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Mrs. Burgess had worked as a bookkeeper.
She and her husband returned to Lenora in 1942. He died Oct. 14, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Spencer; four sisters; and a brother.
Mrs. Burgess was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and the Densmore Study Club, and belonged to several bridge clubs. After her husband's death, she continued to live in Lenora. She had made her home in Scott City for the past several years.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Richard Spencer and Sara Ramsey, both of Scott City, Hank Spencer, Anaheim, Calif., and Nina Johnson, Ulysses; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Parish Church, Lenora. Burial will be in South Star Cemetery, Lenora.
Visitation hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church in Lenora. Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of Enfield Funeral Home, 215 W. Main St., Norton, KS 67654.
Linnie Case
Linnie Case, 100, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Homestead Assisted Living Center in Garden City.
She was born April 12, 1899, at Belton, Mo., the daughter of Felix and Mary Williams.
On Jan. 10, 1944, she married Stephen Case at San Antonio, Texas. He died Sept. 7, 1986, at Dallas. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and a brother.
A Garden City resident since 1996, moving from Dallas, Mrs. Case was a homemaker.
She is survived by a nephew, David L. Goodloe, Garden City; and a niece, Maxine Lininger, Wichita.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Sparkman-Hillcrest Cemetery, Dallas, with the Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Visitation is at Sparkman-Hillcrest Mortuary, Dallas.
Price & Sons Funeral Home, Garden City, is in charge of local arrangements.
