FOWLER -- Clara C. Huelskamp, 102, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Fowler Nursing Home.

SUSAN H. WARREN COFFMAN
PLAINS -- Susan H. Warren Coffman, 87, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 27, 2007, at the Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born March 31, 1919, to John Bascum and Mary Mable (Jones) Hill in St. Joseph, Mo.
She married Roy Everett Warren Sept. 11, 1938, in Newton.
He died Dec. 20, 1979.
She later married Alvin Eugene "Gene" Coffman Oct. 22, 1981, in Las Vegas. He died Oct. 11, 1998.
As a young girl, she attended the Liberal school system, graduating from Liberal High School.
She and her husband, Roy, owned and operated the Plains Cleaners.
She was a longtime homemaker, having also worked in several restaurants and businesses in the Plains area.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Plains, having served as a youth sponsor.
She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Plains.
She enjoyed craftwork, playing bridge, baking for family and friends, and playing golf, and participated in the Kansas Pro-Am circuit.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Elliott, Wichita; two grandchildren, Danny Warren, Haysville, and Debbie Stonestreet, Garden City; one great-granddaughter, Shae Warren; and one brother, James Elwood Hill, Indianova, Iowa.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bartley Norwood Hill, and one sister, Ella Leontine Hill.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Plains Cemetery
in Plains with the Rev. Terry Mayhew presiding.
The casket will remain closed.
Burial will be at Plains Cemetery.
Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the mortuary.
ART JONES
MOSCOW -- Art Jones, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2007, in Gore, Okla.
He was born Sept. 24, 1917, to James T. and Mabel E. Porter Jones in Paris, Texas.
He married Faye Athey Dec. 11, 1937, in Crowell, Texas.
She died Feb. 2, 2005.
He and his wife owned and operated the Richfield Grocery and the cafe for many years in Richfield.
He was a heavy equipment operator in Goodwell, Okla., and the Texas County Road Department.
He is survived by three sons, Freeman Jones and wife, Jane, Rolla, Jimmy Jones and wife, Theresa, Inola, Okla., and Ross Jones and wife, Debbie, Muskogee, Okla.; four daughters, Janice Carter and husband, Neel, Miami, Texas, Sharon Carpenter and husband, David, Lowell, Ark., Linda Johnson and husband, Don, Canadian, Texas, and Patricia Bell and husband, Doug, Moscow; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Davey Carpenter and Adam Carter; one great-grandson, Josh Barker; three brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rolla Cemetery
in Rolla with the Rev. Larry Bradford presiding.
Friends may call from until 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.
EVELYN F. VOGTS
MOUNDRIDGE -- Evelyn F. Vogts, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at McCrite Plaza Health Center in Topeka.
She was born July 16, 1919, to Herman and Anna Marie (Albright) Krehbiel in Moundridge.
She married Vernon "Tubby" Vogts Oct. 18, 1952, in Moundridge.
He died March 22, 1997.
She graduated from Moundridge High School in 1936.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Moundridge.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy McAllister, Liberal, and Karen Lee, Topeka; two grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Krehbiel, Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Larry Krehbiel, Pratt; and one sister, Loraine Unruh, McPherson.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Stucky.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Moundridge with Pastor David Schemm presiding.
Burial will be at Mound Township Cemetery
in Moundridge.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Moundridge Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

HERMAN SCHEUCHZER
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Herman Scheuchzer, 90, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2007, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born May 8, 1916, to Emil and Elizabeth C. Westfahl Scheuchzer in Haven.
He married Ruby Kuykendall Oct. 11, 1939, in Liberal.
She died Nov. 10, 2005.
He graduated from Turpin (Okla.) High School in 1934.
He farmed in Madras, Ore., for 11 years before returning to Turpin in 1959, where he owned and operated the Turpin Oil Company, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the Turpin Baptist Church.
He was also a member of the McFarland Lodge and IOOF Lodge, Turpin, Okla.
He loved wood crafting and traveling the continental states with his wife.
He was instrumental in starting the Turpin Fire and Water Departments and the construction of the Turpin Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters Brenda Crawford, Flower Mound, Texas, and Linda Trujillo and husband, John, Angel Fire, N.M.; four grandchildren, Darren Crawford, Flower Mound, and Emily Walker, April White, and Cody Maschmeier, all of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Meyers, Madras, and Helen Hewitt, British Columbia, Canada.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Turpin Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Reed presiding.
Burial will be at Gray Cemetery
in Balko, Okla., with Masonic Rites.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Turpin Fire Department in care of the mortuary.
