ELDON WYATT
Eldon Wyatt, 88, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Wheatridge Park Care Center.
He was born Aug. 7, 1917, to Bob and Alice (Fast) Wyatt in Liberal.
He married Mary Ketterman Craven on Dec. 23, 1973. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2003.
He graduated from Liberal High School and joined the United States Army in 1942 during World War II and became a Tech Sergeant. After the war, he returned to the farm to help his aging parents.
Besides farming, he worked at the First National Bank, did carpentry work and worked in a construction company office. He had sold and installed monuments for Jones Monument Company.
He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Gideon's International. He was also a Certified Lay Speaker for the Methodist Church in the Dodge City area since 1965. He assisted with several funeral services and was head usher at the church.
He enjoyed his membership in the Noon Kiwanis and especially liked his association with the Liberal High School Key Club. He was instrumental in assisting junior boys in attending Boys State. He was Treasurer of the American Legion and volunteered in many events such as Crop Walk and Blood Mobiles.
He is survived by his step daughter, Diane Craven Vaughn, St. Albans, W.V.; six step grandchildren; three step greatgrandchildren; and a nephew and neice, Johnny Wyatt and Patricia Wyatt Allen, Bossier City, La.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Wyatt, Hershel Wyatt and Denver C. Wyatt.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal with the Rev. Ken Hathaway presiding.
Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at KitchBrenneman Funeral Home.

DUANE BROYLES
Johnson -- Duane Broyles, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005.
He was the son of Newton and Haley Broyles.
He married Betty in 1945. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was an avid wood worker and was well known as a good used car trader.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Los Lunas, N.M. He was in charge of setting up the Barnabas Sunday School outings once a month.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also loved working around the house and looked forward to taking his wife out to dinner two or three times a week.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary and wife, Diana, Pueblo West, Colo., and Denton and wife, Renee, Los Lunas, N.M.; one daughter-in-law, Louise Broyles, Ulysses; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lenora Summers, Pueblo, Colo.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby, his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson with the Rev. Dave Kaufman presiding.
Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery
in Johnson.
BILLIE BELT
LAKIN -- Billie Belt, 66, died Oct. 21, 2005, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.
She was born July 26, 1939, to Will and Dorothy (Farris) Rogers in Ogallala, Neb.
She married Clyde Belt on Dec. 18, 1955, in Clayton, N.M. He survives.
She grew up at Springfield, Colo. under the care of Thelma and Raymond Christie and graduated from Springfield High School.
She worked as a dental assistant for over 30 years for Dr. Jon Wheat.
She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
Other survivors include one son, Rick Belt and wife, Janie, Ulysses; four grandchildren, Molly and Rykki Belt, Ulysses, Amber Hess and husband, Ryan, New Orleans, and Mandi Gerard and husband, Tim, College Station, Texas; six greatgrandchildren, Alee, Gracee, Taylor, Garett, Morgan and Hayden; two brothers, Travis Rogers, Drummond, Okla. and Larry Dale Rogers, Calif.; and two sisters, Pat Olsen, Kinsley and Gerri Jantz, Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert, and one brother, Dusty Rogers.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Lakin with the Rev. Rita Stockton presiding. --
Private family internment will be at the Lakin Cemetery.

REECE D. MORGAN
HUGOTON -- Reece Donald Morgan, 94, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, in Las Cruces, N.M.
He was born Aug. 24, 1911, to William and Linnie (Cox) Morgan in Hugoton.
He married Bess Ward July 19, 1942. She died Dec. 1, 1990.
He attended Hugoton Grade School and graduated from Hugoton High School. He then attended Kansas State University.
He operated the family farm until World War II began.
He served in the armament division of the Air Force in the Pacific Theater, New Guinea, Phillipines and Okinawa.
After the war, he returned to the farm in Hugoton.
He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Hugoton.
He was an avid, accomplished fisherman. He liked to fish Colorado streams and lakes. He traded talk and Canadian adventures with an outdoor sports columnist of the Hutchinson News.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Portia Morgan, Mesilla Park, N.M.; two grandchildren, Bradley Morgan and Rebecca Morgan; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry D. Morgan; one daughter, Linda Morgan; and two brothers, Rollin Morgan and Langdon Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton with Minister Jeff Aenk presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Paul's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends.
MIGUEL Z. VEGA
HUGOTON -- Miguel Zaveleta Vega, 41, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at a friend's home in Hugoton while visiting.
He was born Aug. 1, 1964, in Mexico City.
He married Salvia Benitez. She survives.
Funeral services will be conducted by Funeraria Olivares Pantitlan in Mexico.
Burial will be at Los Rosales Cemetery
in Chimalhuacan, Estado, Mexico.
STORMY J. PARIS
ULYSSES -- Stormy James Paris, 2 1/2, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Children's Hospital in Denver.
He was born Feb. 27, 2003, to Michael and Kim (Hampton) Paris in San Antonio.
Survivors include his parents, Purdon, Texas; one brother, Kade Paris, Purdon; one sister, Rachel Paris, Purdon; grandparents, Arlene Blosser, Farley, N.M., and Charlie and Lynn Paris, Sublette; great-grandmother, Lorine "Granny" Blosser, Farley, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jim and Betty Hampton; and great-grandparents, Dallas and Nina Hampton, Loren L. and Lillie I. Paris and Arvil Blosser.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Ministers Bill Harrold and Jeff Sweeney presiding.
Burial will be at Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Grant County Funeral Home in Ulysses.
