KATHERINE I. SICKLER
HUTCHINSON -- Katherine Irene Sickler, 61, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at her home in Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 15, 1943, to Julia and Paul Leo (Pete) Stoddard in Stevens County.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Kolb, Ark., and Jeffrey Kolb, Topeka; two daughters, Deborah Kolb, Parsons, Teresa Henderson, Eldon, Mo.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Elven Stoddard, Liberal; two sisters, Opal Hall, Hugoton, and Christine Munson, Moscow; and one half-brother, Kenneth Regan, Okla.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sara Emily Kolb; one brother, Jack Leo Stoddard; one half-brother, Marvin Regan; and one half-sister, Mary Louise Glover.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Moscow Cemetery.
Friends may call 1 to 8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Moscow Baptist Church.
ESTHER M. MURRAY
LA CROSSE -- Esther M. Murray, 87, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in La Crosse.
She was born Aug. 13, 1917, to Jacob and Amalie (Eckes) Reifschneider in McCracken.
She married E. L. "Jack" Murray on May 1, 1940, in Hoisington. He died Dec. 3, 1989.
She was a restaurant owner.
She was a member of La Crosse VFW Auxiliary and Sixty Plus Club.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of La Crosse.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn P. "Pat" Murray and wife Angela M., La Crosse, and Gary D. Murray and wife Nancy M., Great Bend; three daughters, Marilyn R. Moore, Hutchinson, Karen J. Donovan and husband Paul H., Liberal, and Linda M. Holden and husband Rick, La Crosse; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Leroy Reifschneider, La Crosse, and Harold Reifschneider, La Crosse; and one sister, Helen Appel, Rush Center.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmy Ray Murray; two brothers, Ed Reifschneider and Henry Reifschneider; and three sisters, Mollie Bott, Katie McMillan and Ida Crotinger.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church of La Crosse with the Rev. Marilyn Christmore presiding.
Burial will be in La Crosse City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Janousek Funeral Home in La Crosse, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m., and from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church of La Crosse.
Memorials are suggested to Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care.
WILLIAM L. DAVIS
William Lee "Bill" Davis, 69, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at his home in Liberal.
He was born Oct. 1, 1935, to Tom and Nellie (Parker) Davis in Denver.
He married Karen Roberts July 17, 1977, in Cimarron, N.M. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was self employed.
Other survivors include two sons, Dalkey Davis and wife Joyce, Liberal, and Brian Davis, Greeley, Colo.; one daughter, Briel O'Shields and husband Jeff, Mexia, Texas; two step-sons, Harmon Reynolds, Parker, and Mark Reynolds, Denver; 12 grandchildren, Kenny, Chris, Brian J., Tyler, Jacob, Isaac, Dene, Cassie and Serena Davis Harston and Davis and Renak Reynolds; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Azarian and Taliah.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow at a later date.
DOROTHY McGUIRE
ELKHART -- Dorothy "Dot" McGuire, 70, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born April 15, 1935, to Albert J. and Roma Lucille (Woodward) Gardner in Plainview, Texas.
She married Sam McGuire Nov. 20, 1954, in Clovis, N.M. He survives.
Her hobbies included yard work, growing flowers, traveling, especially in the mountains, and being around friends and family.
Other survivors include two sons, Ray McGuire and wife Patricia, Elkhart, and Stewart Randell McGuire, Houston; three grandchildren, Alicia McGuire, Michael McGuire and Amber McGuire, all of Elkhart, and two nieces, Mickey Lynn Smith and Cindy Widener.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, J.W. Gardner.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart with Pastor Tim Ramsey presiding.
Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart with the family present between 6 and 8 p.m.

AGNES T. WIENS
MEADE - Agnes T. (Reimer) Wiens, 74, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Meade District Hospital.
She was born Oct. 2, 1931, to Cornelius A. and Katharina H. (Doerksen) Reimer in Meade.
She married Arthur Wiens Sept. 26, 1970, in Meade. He died May 11, 1992.
She attended the Meade school system. She then attended Bethel Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in August 1963 with her nursing degree.
She worked as a nurses aide in the hospital. She was also the director of nursing for Spearville Hospital. She later became the director of nursing for the Lone Tree Lodge, retiring in 1994, having been involved in the nursing profession for more than 45 years.
She was a member of Church of the Nazarene of Meade.
She was a member of the Kansas State Nursing Association and the American Nursing Association.
Survivors include two brothers, Isaac T. Reimer, Meade, and Martin T. Reimer, Meade; three nieces; and five nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Levi T. Reimer; and one sister, Lena T. Reimer.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Nazarene in Meade with the Rev. Ron Willard presiding. --
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary of Meade.
Memorials are suggested to the Meade District Hospital Long Term Care Unit or Nazarene Missions in care of the funeral home.
FRANK POTTS
Frank Potts, 65, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born July 18, 1940, to Richard and Dorothy (Roach) Potts in Mountain View, Mo.
He married Marie Crank on Dec. 27, 1958, in Mountain View, Mo. She survives.
He graduated from the Mountain View, Mo. High School in 1958.
He was employed by GTE Telephone in DeKalb, Ill., for 25 years and Adelphia in Liberal for seven years. He was the project manager of the building program for Fellowship Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two sons, Rick Potts and wife, Tammy, Liberal, Jim Potts and wife, Lorraine, Liberal; three grandchildren, Cody, Anna and Kyle Potts; one sister, Linda McCarty and husband, Dennis, Garfield, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Richard Potts.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal, with Pastor Bill Prater presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery
in Liberal.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
