HOWARD KELTNER
MEADE -- Howard Keltner, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Dec. 16, 1925, to Virgil O. and Ella Mae (Lowry) Keltner in the Odee Township in rural Meade.
He married Marjorie "Babe" Howell Aug. 26, 1946, in Meade. She survives.
He was a 1943 graduate of Meade High School.
He was a dairyman and farmer in rural Meade for 43 years.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Meade, serving on the Board of Trustees.
He was a member of the American Legion of Meade and the American Milk Producers Industry.
He enjoyed watching various sporting events in the comfort of his home.
Other survivors include three sons, Mike Keltner, Medicine Lodge, Jim Keltner, Minneola, Kenny Keltner, Greeley, Colo.; one daughter, Kayleen Dakan, Meade; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Keltner, Wichita, and Willis Keltner, Wichita; one sister, Bonnie Hardesty, Cimarron; and his mother-in-law, Martha Howell, Meade.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Keltner on Sept. 10, 1998, his parents, two brothers, Oscar and Russell Keltner, and one sister, Mildred Keltner.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Meade with the Rev. Susan Greene presiding.
Burial will be in Garceland Cemetery
in Meade.
Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
Memorials are suggested to the Beam Senior Center or the United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
HENERY D. HAUNSCHILD
ELKHART -- Henery Don Haunschild, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born June 5, 1931, to William and Icy (Mabree) Haunschild in Missouri.
He married Mary Etta Jewell Feb. 14, 1954, in Scott City. She died Aug. 6, 2004.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He worked on several missionary projects, including a soup kitchen, and served on the staff at Alaska Bible Institute.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Homer, Alaska.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Ray Haunschild, Harden, Mont., Greg Haunschild, Houston, and Dennis Haunschild, Homer, Alaska; two daughters, Susie Lewis, Elkhart, and Judy Lee Eidem, Harden, Mont.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A family service and burial will be at a later date in Scott City.

BOYD MCALLISTER
HANSTON -- Boyd McAllister, 88, died Nov. 25, 2004, at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
He was born Oct. 29, 1916, to Bluford and Lula Bailey McAllister in Nickerson.
He married Vivian Childress Oct. 25, 1942. She died in 1959.
He then married Wilma Watts July 20, 1964, in Marion. She survives.
He was a truck driver and oil field worker.
He was a World War II veteran.
He was a member of the V.F.W. of Hanston.
Other survivors include three sons, Donald "Butch", Liberal, Bruce, Wichita, and Loren, Ferndale, Wash.; five daughters, Sharon Stewart, Arkansas, Mary Morris, Leon, Lula Redburn, Lawrence, Kimmie Welch, Syracuse, and Karen Krushensky, Syracuse; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Allen, seven brothers, Bruce, John, Clyde, Ted, Bluford Jr., Ronald and Mont, and one granddaughter, Pattie.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hanston Cemetery
with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. --
Burial will be in Hanston Cemetery
with military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore.

DIANTHA M. COLLINGWOOD ELDRIDGE
HUTCHINSON -- Diantha M. Collingwood Eldridge, 74, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at her residence in Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 19, 1930, to Lelo Paul and Faye Drennan Collingwood in Hutchinson.
She attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
She raised horses and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Episcopalian faith.
Survivors include three sons, Justin Lance Collingwood Eldridge, Steamboat Springs, Colo., Christopher Collingwood Eldrige, Bentonville, Ark., and Lee Collingwood Eldridge, Lawrence; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lonestar Cemetery
in Pretty Prairie.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary. The family will also receive friends at this time.
Memorials are suggested to Hutchinson Humane Society in care of Elliott Mortuary.
BILL CHAFFIN
DODGE CITY - Bill Chaffin, 65, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2004 at his residence in Rio Verde, Ariz.
He was born Sept. 12, 1939, to Owen and Leona (Dale) Chaffin in Satanta.
He married Nona Damon July 2, 1961, in Olathe.
He graduated from Moscow High School. He attened the University of Kansas and graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with a degree in business and social science.
He taught high school in Courtland and Bogue. He then joined his father and brother in establishing Gibson's Discount Store franchises throughout several area states. He worked with the Gibson's chain until they sold, at which time he founded Rayne Company in Dodge City.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Chruch of Dodge City
He was a member of Theta Phi.
His hobbies included playing tennis, traveling, family and K.U. sports.
Suriviors include two children, Brian Chaffin, Overland Park, and Stephanie Franzitta and husband Orris, Cimarron; two grandsons, Joseph and Nicholas Franzitta, Cimarron; and one brother, Gary Chaffin and wife Charlotte, Dodge City.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church in Dodge City with the Rev. Lance Carrithers and Jeff Hiers presiding. --
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery
in Dodge City. --
Visitation is from 12 to 6 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Home.

KATELYN AND KRISTAL MENDEZ
Katelyn and Kristal Mendez, infant daughters of Klynna McCrosky and Frankie Mendez, were stillborn Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.
Survivors include their parents; grandparents, Sheila and Gil Keebler, Hattiesburg, Miss., Brian and Theo Volden, Liberal, Maureen Tidwell, Liberal, and Mike Mendez, Syracuse; great-grandparents, Beverly and Monte Olson, Tyrone, Okla., Stella and William Keebler, Hattiesburg, Miss., Dale Volden, Liberal, Beth and Deverne McKenna, Sharon Springs, and Bill and Sharon McCrosky, Topeka; great-great-grandparents, Vernon Ralston, Liberal, Nina Friedle, Hattiesburg, Miss., Berinta Allen, Holyoke, Colo., and Eunice Tyson, Stinnett, Texas.
They were preceded in death by their great-great-grandparents, Wanda Ralston and Gary Kelley.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
SHIRLEY WARREN
Shirley Warren, 45, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born June 30, 1959, to John H. and Shirley J. Bradley Hayes in Fort Knox, Ky.
She married Brent T. Warren June 4, 2000, in Liberal. He survives.
She worked in the bakery at the Liberal Wal-Mart.
She was a member of the Antiach Missionary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La.
Other survivors include her father; one son, Joe Warren and wife Erica, Topeka; two grandchildren; two brothers, John Anthony Hayes, Baton Rouge, La., and John Wesley Hayes, San Antonio; and four sisters, Tina Marie Pendley, Derham Springs, La., Carry Jeanette Dunbar, Topeka, Cathy Louise Southern, Topeka, and Doris Elizabeth Hall, Walker, La.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Liberal with the Rev. Wyatt Carpenter presiding.
Burial will be at a later date.
