GWENDOLYN "JO" GRANT
FORSYTH, Mo. -- Gwendolyn "Jo" Grant, 56, died Monday, April 12, 2004, at her residence.
She was born May 1, 1947, to Beatrice (Barker) and George F. Githens in Liberal.
She graduated from Liberal High School and the School of the Ozarks.
She was a long time paralegal with the Taney County prosecuting attorney's office.
She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Daniel Grant; three daughters, Jennifer M. Grant, Republic, Stephanie M. Bryant, Marshfield, Amanda J. Rodgers, Galena; five grandchildren, Tucker Byrant, Marshfield, Dean Rogers, Galena Loran Taylor Smith, Republic, Samantha Byrant, Marshfield, Tabetha Bryant, Marshfield; her parents, George and Bea Githens, Forsyth, Mo; her sister, Linda F. Reynolds, Forsyth; mother-in-law, Delores Grant, Tanneyville; three sisters-in-law, Ginny Grant Ryan, Susie Raetz, and Kathy McWilliams.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roy A. Grant.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Forsyth, Mo. with the Reverend Dennis Winzenried presiding.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Hospices, 1756 Bee Creek Rd., Branson, Mo. 65616 or the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forsyth Whelchel Chapel in Forsyth, Mo.
ARLINE BEHAN
SATANTA -- Arline Behan, 88, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette.
DAN ARNOLD
HUGOTON -- Dan Arnold, 42, Hugoton, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in an automobile accident in Stevens County.
He was born April 3, 1962, to Russell Eugene Arnold and Jan Begnoche Harris in Warrensburg, Mo.
He moved to Hugoton in 1973, from Warrensburg.
He was a mechanic for Paramount Service and Supply Inc. in Hugoton.
He was a member of the Dust Bowl Riders in Hugoton.
His hobbies were hunting birds, motorcycles, horses, music and collecting Eagles. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Daniel Arnold, Hugoton; two step sons, Jesse Phillips, Hugoton, Dustin Phillips, Hugoton; one daughter, Tahra Arnold, Liberal; one step daughter, Shealynn Phillips, Hugoton; his mother, Jan Begnoche Harris, Hugoton; one brother, David Arnold and wife, Cindy, Hugoton; one sister, Anita Talbert and husband, Alan, Hugoton; his grandmothers, Virgie Arnold, Warrensburg, Mo.; Helen Thomas, Ulysses; many nieces and nephews; his fiance, Vernonica Shedrick, Hugoton; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Arnold, his step father, Terry Harris.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with Reverend Robert Bailey presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.

A.L. "CAP" EDDINGTON
Perryton, Texas -- A.L. "Cap" Eddington, 87, died Monday, April 12, 2004.
He was born March 23, 1917, to Robert and Olive Eddington in Texas County, Okla.
He married Esther July 31, 1961, in Clayton, N.M. She died in 1993.
He was the Chief Engineer for Ochiltree General Hospital.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He wa a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
He is survived by five daughters, Ramona Clenney, Elk City, Okla., Evelyn Thomas, Burleson, Texas, Doris Potter, Goldwaite, Texas, Nita McFadden, Grandbury, Texas, and Barbara Cassidy, Goldwaite, Texas.; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ochiltree Cemetery
with the Reverend Kendall Hamilton presiding.

KY TRINH
Ky Trinh, 51, Liberal died Friday, April 16, 2004, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born April 15, 1963, to Trinh and Tuyet Le in Hue, South Viet Nam.
He married Sau Luu in June 1975 in Saigon, South Viet Nam. She survives.
He graduated from high school and attended college for two years.
He attended the police academy and graduated as a lieutenant and served as a police officer in South Viet Nam. He was employed with National Beef Packing Company in packaging. He came to the United States in 1993, moving to Liberal in 1995. He was a member of the Nguyen Tri Phoung Baptist Church in Santa Ana, Calif. He attended the First Baptist Church in Liberal.
He is also survived by one son, Khai Trinh, Liberal; two daughters, Van and Khanh Trinh, Liberal; his mother, Tuyet Le, Garden Grove, calif.; four brothers, Tran Trinh, Thach Trinh, San Jose, Calif.; Bich Trinh, Viet Nam; Ngoc Trinh, Irvine, Calif.; four sisters, huyen Trinh, Stetient, France; Quynh Trinh, San Jose, Calif.; Lan Trinh, Garden Grove, Calif.; Vi Trinh, South Viet Nam.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Miller chapel with the Reverend Wyatt Carpenter presiding.
Additional services and burial will be in San Jose, Calif.
Friends may call the Miller Mortuary from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
EMMETT MERLE QUIGLEY
ELKHART -- Emmett Merle Quigley, 85, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, in Blanchard, Okla.
He was born May 30, 1918, to Robert Orr and Roxie Bell (Miller) Quigley.
He married Elma Mae Coyer Aug. 4, 1940, in Elkhart. She died.
He was a farmer and rancher for more than 40 years and retired in the 1980's. He then lived in LaJunta, Colo., Ainsworth, Neb. and Elreno, Okla and recently moved to Blanchard, Okla. to be near his daughters. He was a member of the Levi and Lace Square Dance Club and the American Quarter Horse Association.
He is survived by three daughters Roxie Brookman, El Dorado, Pat Lillegaard, Delaware, Okla and Orletta Jo Miller, Blanchard, Okla; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren;and one sister Emma Pearl Forbes, Elkhart.
Graveside and burial service will Monday at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart with the Reverend Fred Landess presiding.
Friends may call the Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday.

LUISA HERNANDEZ
Johnson -- Luisa Hernandez, 72, died Saturday April 17, 2004, at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson.
She was born Aug. 25, 1931, to Marciano and Eusevia (Felix) Hernandez in Batopilas Chih.
She married Tomas Olivas in 1954 at El Tule Chich. He died.
She had been a resident of Johnson for 15 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson.
She is survived by five sons, Marciano Hernandez, Holcomb, Mike Hernandez, Kansas City, Catalino Olivas, Denver, Colo., Amalio Olivas, Johnson, and Pablo Olivas, Johnson; three daughters, Estefena Garman, Guymon, Okla., Paula Montelongo, Johnson, and Maria Heredia, Ulysses; 36 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Hernandez, Mexico, and Gracia Chavez, Mexico.
Rosary and Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson with the Reverend Patrick Keyes.
Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery
in Johnson.
Friends may call the Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson until 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

WOODROW VERNON LAWSON
PLAINS -- Woodrow Vernon Lawson, 91, Saturday, April 17, 2004, at the Compassionate Care Center in Meade.
He wa born Sept. 11, 1912, to John S. and Maybelle Angell Lawson close to Plains.
He married Wynona Jay "Nona" Conner June 5, 1938, at Plains. She survives.
He graduated from Plains High School with the Class of 1931.
Other survivors include four sons; Royce, Shawnee, James Alan, Omaha, Neb. Jerry, Junction City, Charles, Westminster, Colo.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elim, Colville, Wash., Clive, Hutchinson, John, Tribune; one sister, Alberta Pennington, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert; one brother, Charles, and one sister, Beatrice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Plains First Baptist Church with Pastor George Henry presiding.
Friends may call the Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade until 7 p.m. today.
Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery
in Plains.
