FAYETTA MAUDE HAGAMAN
HUGOTON -- Fayetta Maude Hagaman, 96, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born to Henry Star and Martha Ellen (Waggner) Hazard.
She married Lloyd Heaton, July 19, 1925, in Waynoka, Okla. He died in July, 1949.
She then married Fred Hagaman, March 21, 1953, in Raton, N.M. He died in 1996.
She played All-American basketball for Northwestern College in Alva, Okla. She won the national in New York City.
She was a homemaker, farmer, and rancher.
She was a member of the Rebekahs Lodge in Hugoton since 1934.
Survivors include one son, Buddy Heaton, Ulysses and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Heaton; one daughter, Betty Lou LeMasters; one granddaughter, Sherry Leighty and one great-grandson, DeWayne Laurence Heaton.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Friday at the First Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with the Reverend Robert Bailey presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call today until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8p.m.

ANNA G. JONES
Anna G. Jones, 91, died Oct. 30, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 6, 1912, to Thys and Lois (Cline) Broekema in Hickman, Neb.
She married Gordon J. Jones in Beatrice, Neb. He died July 27, 1965.
She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. She then attended two years at the Joliet School of Music in Chicago, Ill.
She was a former member of Brady United Methodist Church in Brady, Neb. and a lifetime member of P.E.O. in Boulder, Colo.
Survivors include one son, Bruce G. Jones, Liberal; one daughter, Beverly A. Brittenham, Lyons, Colo.; three grandchildren, Julie Jones, Kearney, Neb., Steven Brittenham, Longmont, Colo. and Greg Brittenham, Stanford, Conn.; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Lincoln, Neb.
Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m until 5 p.m. Saturday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.

MARIE "LOUISE" HADDON
PLAINS -- Marie "Louise" Haddon, 77, died Oct. 29, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born June 25, 1926, to Benjamin and Marie Dowell Vanderpool in Meade.
She married Martin Haddon March 11, 1945, in Plains. He survives.
She graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas and returned to Meade, where she worked for Bensinger Produce and later was a telephone operator for five years. She operated the Rock-A-Dine in the summers and was City Clerk for the City of Plains. She was the head cook at the Southwestern Heights High School for 17 years.
She was a member of the Plains United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Senior Citizens, American Legion Auxillary, Kimbell Club, EHU Club and the Pinnacle Club all of Plains; Women's Bowling Association and the Rebekah Lodge, both of Meade.
Other survivors include two sons, Marvin Haddon and wife, Emogene, Wedgefield, S.C., and Michael Haddon and wife, Karen, Mooreland, Okla.; three daughters, Marilyn Zimmerman and husband, Jim, Plains, Mary Matkin and husband, Ken, Turpin, Okla., and Michele Ratzlaff and husband, David, Plains; one brother, Otis Vanderpool and wife, Barbara, Wichita; two sisters, Dora Andersen, Yukon, Okla. and Dorothy McCreight, Hillsboro, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday at Plains United Methodist Church with the Reverend Terry Mayhew presiding.
Burial will be at Plains Cemetery
in Plains.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to Plains United Methodist Church in care of the Mortuary.
RUTH WELLS
PLAINS -- Ruth Wells, 91, died Oct. 30, 2003, at the Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.
She was born Aug. 12, 1912, to Samuel Roy and Cordelia A. McGowen Thompson in Isabelle.
She married Thomas Franklin Wells Aug. 13, 1947, in Meade. He died Dec. 4, 1997.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Plains.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at Plains Christian Church in Plains with the Pastor Jim Dunn presiding.
Burial will be at Plains Cemetery
in Plains.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.
Memorials are suggested to the Plains Christian Church or the Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in care of the funeral home.
CHARLET JO RICE
Charlet Jo Rice, 60, died Nov. 3, 2003, at the Specialty Hospital in Wichita.
She was born May 14, 1943, to Joseph F. and Esther V. Calvin Reffitt in Kansas City, Mo.
She attended school in McPherson and worked as a waitress for many years before moving to Liberal in 1984.
Survivors include her mother, Esther Hamblin, Liberal; two brothers, James Reffitt, Sr. and wife Suellen, Liberal, and Calvin L. Hamblin, Liberal; one sister, Virginia Spence and husband, Steve, Liberal; nephew, James Reffitt Jr.; nieces, Debbie Riley and Angela Reffitt; great-nephews and niece, Cory Hall, Jordan and Jaicee Price.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Joseph Reffitt Jr.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Liberal Cemetery
with Reverand Ken Willard presiding.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Miller Mortuary Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday.
DENISE DELAINE LEONARD
HUGOTON -- Denise Delaine Leonard, 37, died Wednesday October 29, 2003 at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born Sept. 1, 1966 to Donald D. and Peggy A. (Kirkland) Knier in Hugoton.
She married Jan Leonard July 12, 1985 in Hugoton. He survives.
She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1985. She earned her associate's degree in business and later earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Seward County Community College in Liberal.
She was worked as a registered nurse at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She enjoyed gardening, water sports, race car driving, snow skiing and spending time with family and friends.
Other Survivors include one son Brock Leonard, Hugoton; her father, Donald D. Knier, Hugoton; her mother, Peggy A. Knie, Belle Plainer; two brothers, Donald D. Knier, Jr., Hugoton, and David D. Knier, Hugoton;paternal grandparent, LaVaun Knier, Hugoton; maternal grandparents, Vaughn and Lela Kirkland, Hugoton.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m., Nov. 1, 2003 at First Christian Church of Hugoton with the Pastor Jeff Aenk presiding.
Burial was at Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.

MARY E. GLASER
PHILLISBURG -- Mary E. Glaser, 78, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg.
She was born Nov. 1, 1925, to Michael and Edith (Bradfield) Slack in Paw Paw, Mich.
She married Leonard F. Glaser Nov. 14, 1944 in Paris, Texas. He died Jan. 18, 1985.
She was a cook at Phillips County Hospital.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Glaser, McPherson, Walter Glaser, Apple Valley, Calif. Larry Glaser, Plains; one daughter, Roxie Ward, Phillipsburg; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS Philip and James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg with the Father Allen Scheer presiding.
Scriptural Wake and Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Phillips Co. Hospital Long Term Care and Hospice Services.
Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday until the time of service.
