HUGOTON ญญ Jim R. Cox, 62, Hugoton, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born May 3, 1941, to Harold S. and Ellinor (Parker) Cox in Hugoton.
He married Cheryl B. Schmitt Sept. 4, 1961 in Hugoton. She survives.
He was a retired Captain for Braniff International Airlines, and a retired farmer.
His hobbies included flying, travelling, watching bull riding, western movies, and spending time at his cabin in Colorado with family and friends.
He was a member of the Airline Pilot Association and the Sky Knight Club.
Other survivors include one son, Chris Cox and wife, Kathy, Alma; two daughters, Kim Chamberlain and husband, John, and Theresa Knier, all of Hugoton; his parents; two brothers, Jerry Cox and wife, Sandy, and Jeff Cox and wife, Jo, all of Hugoton; one sister, Judy Hamlin and husband, Rick, Hugoton; six grandchildren, Jaymee Chamberlain, Ashley Knier, Heather Cox, Carley Chamberlain, Megan Knier and Eric Cox; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with the Father Mike Andrew presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.

SALVADOR ANGUIANO
ULYSSES ญญ Salvador Anguiano, 67, La Pryor, Texas, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
He was born Sept. 30, 1935, to Salvador and Lucina (Garnica) Anguiano in San Francisco Del Rincon, GTO, Mexico.
He married Eloisa Cisneros Ayala Jan. 3, 1962. She survives.
He was a long-time resident of Texas. He was a dairy farmer.
Other survivors include four sons, Rafael Anguiano and Salvador Anguiano Jr., both of Ulysses, Javier Anguiano, Lakin, and Rogelio Anguiano, Mexico; five daughters, Lupe Anguiano, Ulysses, San Juana Anguiano, Mexico, Lucy Anguiano, Ulysses, Eva Anguiano and Elena Anguiano, both of Mexico; two brothers and two sisters, all of Mexico; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children and one sister.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with the Rev. Louis Hoang presiding.
Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.

CLIFFORD A. KOEHN
MONTEZUMA ญญ Clifford A. Koehn, 81, former Grant, Neb., resident, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Bethel Home in Montezuma, where he had been a resident.
He was born Oct. 26, 1921, to Abraham T. and Mary (Koehn) Koehn in Gray County.
He married Minnie Mae Koehn Jan. 1, 1944, in Winton, Calif. She died in April of 1996.
He was a carpenter.
He was a member of Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Winton.
Survivors include three sons, Milton Koehn and wife, Jeanette, Elsie, Neb., Harold Koehn and wife, Roberta, and Delbert Koehn and wife, Susie, all of Scooba, Miss.; two daughters, Judy Jantz and husband, Clayton, Scio, Ore., and Elaine Friesen and husband, Ralph, Abbottford, British Columbia, Canada; two brothers, Delano Koehn and wife, Jo Ann, Buhl, Idaho, and Stanley Koehn and wife, Joyce, Winton; three sisters, Irene Nightengale and husband, Herman, Montezuma, Mildred Johnson and husband, Duane, Almena, Wis., and Evelyn Smith and husband, Vernon, Ulysses; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be in Grant, Neb., with arrangements by Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant.

ROSALIA ARREDONDO
Rosalia Arredondo, 65, Liberal, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at the Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis in Wichita.
She was born Sept. 6, 1937, to Jose and Reyna (Rodriguez) Berroteran in Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico.
She married Macario Arredondo Sept. 1, 1954, in Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico. He died March 30, 2001.
Survivors include nine sons, Jose, Jesus M., Javier, Abelardo and Macario all of Liberal, Armando, Salvador and Gerardo all of Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Estela Arredondo de Munoz and Socorro Arredondo de Holguin both of Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico, Reina Rivera and Guadalupe Lujan both of Liberal; two brothers, Marcos Ruben Berroteran of Kansas City, Kan., Onesimo Berroteran of Mexico; three sisters, Bertha and Natalia both of Mexico and Irma of California; 40 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son.
Funeral services will be held in Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico at a later date.
Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
ESTER C. SMITH
GUYMON ญญ Esther C. Smith, 91, Guymon, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 21, 1911, to Charles E. and Sarah Alice (Means) Stowe in Eagle City, Okla.
She was married to Lloyd Alvin Clark. He died June of 1972.
She was married to John "Tot" Smith. He died November 1976.
She moved to Guymon, Okla. from Oakwood, Okla in 1948. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Foursquare Church.
She is survived by three sons, Rev. Alvin Ray Clark and wife, Maryette, of Duncan, Okla., Howard Wendell Clark and wife, Robbie, of El Paso, Texas and Kendell B. Clark of Guymon; 11 grandchildren, Owen, Ray, Karen, Adair, Jenette, Wendy, Michelle, Dawndy, Jason, Ricky, Carla and Charlet; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Foursquare Church with Rev. Tim Brittain presiding.
Internment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.

VELMA L. PEMBERTON
MEADE ญญ Velma L. Pemberton, 83, Meade, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at her Meade residence.
She was born Oct. 31, 1919, to Earl and Mabel P. Garrison Pippitt in Plains.
She married Kenneth L. "Pink" Pemberton June 1, 1939, in Wichita. He died Jan. 28, 1997.
She was a graduate of Plains High School. She was a lifetime Meade County resident and served as the Meade County Clerk for many years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Meade.
Survivors include a son, Ron Pemberton of Decatur, Texas; a daughter, Sandi Ergott of Kendall, N.Y.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward Pippitt; and a sister, Doris Sowder.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Meade with Rev. Susan Greene presiding.
Private family burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.

DOYLE W. JENNINGS
KISMET ญญ Doyle W. Jennings, 58, Kismet, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville, Tenn.
He was born Nov. 12. 1944, to Ellis and Willie Lee Shepherd Jennings in Ada, Okla.
He married Carole A. Eddie Aug. 2, 1965, in Denver, Colo. She died Dec. 23, 1999.
He was a graduate of Moscow High School in 1963, and received a certificate in diesel mechanics at the Denver Vo Tech. He moved to Kismet in 1967, where he worked for the National Helium Plant. In 1989 he founded the Doyle Jennings Trenching & Backhoe Service which operated until the present.
He was a member of the Kismet United Methodist Church, 25 year member of the Kismet Lions Club, Two-Tired Motorcycle Club and PEPL Bowling League.
He served on the Kismet City Council for the past five years, as Kismet City Police Officer, and as a member of the Five State Fair Board for fifteen years and was past president.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff Jennings and wife, Annetta, of Weatherford, Okla, and Jason Jennings and wife, Dawn, of Kismet; one daughter, Barb Ryan and husband, Devin, of Kismet; one brother, Kenneth Jennings and wife, Barbara, Moscow; six grandchildren, Kayla, Holden, Cory, Sheree, Cody and Brittney.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry and Lloyd; and a grandson Trevor Jennings.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kismet United Methodist Church in Kismet with Rev. Nathan Stanton presiding.
Interment will be in the Kismet Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
