WILMA WRIGHT
SEYMOUR, Iowa ญญ Wilma Wright, 92, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 30, 1910, to Clark and Sarah Isabell (Murphy) Buck in Putnam County, Miss.
She married Wade B. "Sug" Wright on May 22, 1935. He died in October 1963.
She was operator of Wright Hardware and John Deere Implement Store until 1969.
She was a member of Seymour American Legion Auxiliary, past member of Seymour Community Club, and Iowa Retail Hardware Association.
Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include, her children, Roberta "Bobbie" Hart and husband, Jack, Liberal, William John Wright and wife, Evelyn, Waukee, Iowa; grandchildren, Pamela McElvain and husband, Kenneth, Liberal, David Hart and wife, Nancy, Liberal, and Brian Hart, Kansas City, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Brad McElvain and wife, Stacey, Kansas City, Christi McElvain, Topeka, Jack T. and Andrea Hart, Liberal, and Bailey, Ian, and Mackenzie Hart, Kansas City; her aunt, Vina Murphy; and numerous other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Buck and wife, Lucille, and H.C. Simon Buck and wife, Esther (Het); and granddaughter-in-law, Jeanine Hart.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour, Iowa, with the Pastor Vickie Steffes presiding.
Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery
in Seymour.
Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour. The family will receive friends from 7-9:30 p.m. Sunday.

TERRY J. HARRIS
HUGOTON ญญ Terry J. "Duke" Harris, 64, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 30, 1938, to Glen and Beatrice (Clark) Harris in Hugoton.
He married Jan Begnoche on May 15, 1989, in Hugoton. She survives.
He graduated from Farmington High School in 1954. He later attended Highlands University for two years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, honorably discharged in 1962.
He worked as a carpenter, oilfield, and police dispatcher for the Stevens County Sheriff's Department.
His hobbies included artwork, trivial games, collecting handguns, and gardening.
He was a member of the Kansas Watercolor Society.
Other survivors include, three sons, Shawn Harris, Austin, Texas, Danny and David Arnold, Hugoton; two daughters, Shannon Crane, Tulsa, Okla., and Anita Talbert, Hugoton; his mother, Beatrice Harris, Manhattan; two brothers, Kent Harris, Gardenville, Nev., and Dennis Harris, Wichita; one sister, Joann Lamberson, Manhattan; one uncle, Robert Clark, Wichita; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with the Rev. Robert Bailey presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton, with military gravesside rites by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.

ETHEL S. PENKA
FOWLER ญญ Ethel Salome Penka, 87, died Saturday, April 11, 2003, at Minneola District Hospital in Minneola.
She was born Dec. 1, 1915, to Oscar Benjamin and Annie Matilda (Wagner) Johnson in Ensign.
She married Edward Douglas Penka on June 6, 1936, in Cimarron. He died Sept. 24, 1974.
She graduated from Ensign High School in 1933.
She worked as a farmer and homemaker.
Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, and playing cards.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, and the Rebekah Lodge in Fowler.
Survivors include, two sons, Oscar, Fowler, Bob and wife, Leigh, Ensign; three daughters, Mina Jones and Mary Alice Lee and husband, Gene, all of Rigby, Idaho, Veva Immroth and husband, Gary, Blackfoot, Idaho; one sister, Mary Spurgeon, Gate, Okla.; special friend, Arletta Dickman, Grinnell; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mable McQueen, Eileen Phillips, and Ruby Warner; one grandchild; and one son-in-law.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fowler United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roland Wolfe presiding.
Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery, North of Ensign.
Friends may call until 7 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

MILFERD M. REGIER
Milferd M. Regier, 77, of Liberal, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1925, to Henry L. and Elizabeth Ratzlaff Regier in Harvey County.
He married Carol Jean Fisher on July 23, 1950, in Liberal. She survives.
He was a farmer all his life, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, and was active as a greeter, usher, and served on several committees.
Other survivors include, three sons, Ronald L. Regier and wife, Kathy, Plains, Randy D. Regier, Amarillo, Texas, Richard J. Regier, Hesperus, Colo.; one brother, Vernon Regier and wife, Jean, Liberal; one sister, Dorothy Karst and husband, Kenneth, Russell; four grandchildren, Mary Davis and husband, Ron, Plains, Micheal Regier and wife, Megan, Frederick, Md., Jared Regier and wife, Crystal, Liberal, Rachelle Regier, Liberal; two great-grandsons, Tanner and Matthew Davis, Plains; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Elmer Regier.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Odle presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, and from 8-11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary.

PAULINE E. WOOLEN
HUGOTON ญญ Pauline E. Woolen, 88, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born July 24, 1914, to James and Evelyn (Chapee) Brown, in Cosmo, Okla.
She married Glen D. Woolen on July 11, 1930, in Richfield. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, and also answered phones for Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton for several years.
Survivors include two sons, David E. Woolen and wife, Shirley, Wichita, Glen Doral Woolen and wife, Donna, Wasilla, Alaska; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Harold O. Woolen.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton with the Rev. Robert Bailey presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.

ROSIE SALLEY
Rosie Salley, 63, of Liberal, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 5, 1939, to Leonard H. and Elva B. (Arthurs) Cobb in Shattuck, Okla.
She married Kenneth R. Yocum on Jan. 29, 1961, in Shattuck. He died Aug. 8, 1989.
She married Jerry L. Salley in January 1994, in Liberal. He survives.
She graduated from Shattuck High School, and later received her R.N. degree from Mercy School of Nursing in 1961.
She worked as head nurse at St. Anthony, Presbyterian, and McBride Bone and Joint Hospitals, prior to retirement in 1993.
She was a member of Regency Park Baptist Church in Moore, Okla., the Oklahoma City Nursing Association, and the SWKSCARS Club of Liberal.
Other survivors include, her children, Gregg Yocum and wife, Susan, Tulsa, Okla., Neal Yocum and wife, Angie, Houston, Texas, Bill Salley and wife, E.J., Liberal, Bruce and wife, Theresa, Tulsa, Craig Salley, Garden City, Kay Owsley and husband, Larry, Edmond, Okla., Reenie Jackson, Liberal, and Jeanie Whited and husband, Bill, Saginaw, Mich.; her brother, Walter E. Cobb and wife, Barbara, Aurora, Mo., Donald L. Cobb and wife, Jeannina, Livingston, Tenn.; her sisters, Bonnie G. Shepherd and husband, Don, Shattuck, and Nancy L. Kirby and husband, Glenn, Crestwood, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Dane Ray Yocum, and Tim Salley.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Donald L. Cobb and John Andrews presiding.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery
in Moore.
