EDITH A. SALMON
ELKHART Edith A. (Shaw) Salmon, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Vintage Estates Health Care Facility in Sacramento, Calif.
She was born April 19, 1910, to Nicholas O. and Lydia V. (Jackson) Shaw in Alvin, Texas.
She married Elmer B. Salmon May 25, 1929, in Elkhart. He died March 15, 1988.
She spent her early years on the family homestead in Baca County, Colo.
She attended school in Elkhart.
She was a homemaker and worked as an assistant to doctors in Elkhart. She worked in shipyards during the war.
She moved with her husband to Arkansas, Colo., then to Oregon and finally, Sacramento.
Her hobbies included spending time with family, crocheting, crafts, sewing and bible-reading.
Survivors include, six sons, Elmer L. Salmon and wife, Shirley of Michigan, Robert Salmon and wife, Diedre, Bend, Oregon, Bill Salmon and wife, Wilma, Bakersfield, Calif., Walter Salmon and wife, Arlene, Cool, Calif., Arthur Salmon and wife, Linda, Kansas City, Miss, and David Salmon, Soldotna, Ala.; four daughters, Thelma Sipes and husband, Marvin, Citrus Heights, Calif., Joy Goyette, San Antonio, Texas, Susanna Read, San Bernadino, Calif., and Ruth Read and husband, Richard, Arcadia, Calif.; one son-in-law, Floyd C. White, Boise City, Okla.; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Virginia Tucker, Thelma Salmon, and Ona Shaw; three brothers, Walter, Charles, and Robert Shaw; one daughter, Alma Lou White; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Chapel in Elkhart with the Pastor Larry Johnson presiding.
Burial will be at Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart.

BRONA L. LOVE
SUBLETTE Brona Lee Love, 72, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born May 15, 1930, to Austin Clyde and Ortha Eleanor (Rutherford) Harman in Dodge City.
She married Roy Love Oct. 29, 1949, in Raton, N.M. He died Dec. 5, 1999.
She worked for Boot Hill Repertory Company for many years.
She moved to Sublette from Dodge City in September 1999.
Her hobbies included cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
She was a member of God's New Covenant Fellowship in Sublette.
Survivors include three sons, Lawrence Love and wife, Veronica, Sublette, Rodney Love, Omaha, Neb., and Gregory Love and wife, Leslie, Wink, Texas; two daughters, Terri Lower and husband, Bill, Sublette, and Tami Williams and husband, Craig, Dodge City; one sister, Susan Post and husband, Danny, Dodge City; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; one sister, Gaye Fischer; one grandson, Jimmy; and one great-grandson, Kaden.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at God's New Covenant Fellowship in Sublette with Pastor Joe Dunlap presiding.
Burial will be at Haskell County Cemtery in Sublette.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette.

MARY L. SOUZA
MODESTO, Calif. Mary Lee (Coffman) Souza, 69, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at the Memorial Hospital Association in Modesto.
She was born July 22, 1933.
She was a farmer and homemaker.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in California.
Survivors include, her husband, John Martin Souza of Modesto; four children, Michael Seratt, Tarzana, Steve Williams and Edward Souza, both of Hilmar, Calif., and Sandra Bullock, Modesto; one aunt, Margariette Goos, Liberal; one brother, Novie Coffman, Liberal; five sisters, Clarinda Mae Logsdon, Oakdale, Calif. Helen Louise Tuggle, O'Fallon, Ill., Alma Lue Gearhardt, Rio Linda, Calif., Donna Bell Shannon, Macomb, Miss., and Lilly Mae Coffman, Liberal; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sales Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto.
Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemtery in Modesto.

DAVID B. CULLISON
MOSCOW David Blaine Cullison, 42, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in Moscow.
He was born Sept. 16, 1960, to Jack Blaine and Thelma Ruth (Taff) Cullison in Hugoton.
He married Lorri Rae Post April 16, 1986, in Hugoton. She survives.
He was a farmer and rancher.
His hobbies included spending time with his family.
He was president of Tri-State Feeders in Turpin; and served on the Stevens County Hospital Board, Stevens County Fair Board, Buffalo Boosters 4-H Leader, all in Moscow.
Other survivors include, one son, Matthew Cullison, Moscow; one daughter, Tara Cullison, Moscow; his mother, Thelma Cullison, Moscow; numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Blaine Cullison; and grandparents, Champ and Edith Taff, and Dell and Opal Cullison.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at O'Dea Lahey Cemetery
in Moscow with the Rev. Ray Tweed presiding.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Paul's Funeral Home.

GLENDA M. MOORE
Glenda Mae Moore, 67, of Liberal, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Jan. 7, 1936, to Glenn E. and Audrey G. (Moore) Corbin in Alva, Okla.
She married Joe Moore on July 21, 1976, in Liberal. He survives.
She attended Alva High School in Alva.
She had been a Liberal resident for 30 years.
Other survivors include, two sons, Robert Lee Wing, Abilene, Texas, and David Kyle Wing, Amarillo, Texas; four daughters, Linda Kay Plunk, Amarillo, Vickey Saxton, Madison, Miss., Barbara Liechty, Heston, and Jana O'Toole, Hutchinson; one step-son, Doug Moore, Liberal; one step-daughter, Betty King, Liberal; one sister, Erma Lindscheid, Enid, Okla.; and eight grandchildren, Tammy and Jason Cunningham, Shelia Harley and Aaron Wing, all of Amarillo, Bobby, Jimmy and Shawn Wing, all of Hutchinson, and Mark Wing, serving in the U.S. Military.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Mac A. Corbin; and two sisters, Darla Allen and Carolyn Morehead.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Faith Church in Liberal with the Pastor Dee Estes presiding.
Cremation has taken place.

BILLIE BIRKENBAUGH
DODGE CITY Billie Birkenbaugh, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.
She was born Dec. 2, 1923, to Harry and Rachel Edith (Green) Denton in Kismet.
She married Eugene Lix on Aug. 21, 1944, in Dodge City. He died in August 1969.
She married Marvin Birkenbaugh Nov. 14, 1970, in Dodge City. He survives.
She was a longtime employee of the Dodge City Co-op.
She was a member of Cathedral Of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Daughters of Isabella, and Altar Society, all of Dodge City.
She had been a Dodge City resident for 60 years, moving from Kismet.
Other survivors include, two sons, Greg Lix and wife, Regina, Wright Birkenbaugh, Randy Birkenbaugh and wife, Sheila, Topeka; one daughter, Teresa "Terri" Lix, Wichita; two sisters, Goldie Stoddard, Walsh, Colo., and Dode Brown, Dove Creek, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 4 p.m. today at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel in Dodge City.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral with the Father Ted A. Shalsky presiding.
Burial will be at St. Andrew Cemetery
in Wright.

JACK E. DAVIS
HEMET, Calif. Jack E. Davis, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at his residence in Hemet.
He was born Jan. 25, 1916, in Liberal.
He owned Chino Ford in Chino for 30 years.
His hobbies included traveling, fishing, and golfing.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Davis, Hemet; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at McWayne Family Funeral Home in Hemet.
A private burial was at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery
in San Jacinto, Calif. with the Pastor Daniel Skoretz presiding.
