ROCHESTER -- Marion Jeannette See Cardona, 88, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011
at her residence.
She is survived by daughters, Janice (Edward) Ramsay of Ringwood, N.J., Judith (William
Scott) Forney of Denton, Texas, and Elizabeth (Peter) Jordan of New Hope, Pa.; four
grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 5 pm. Sunday, April 17 at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200
W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rochester IOOF cemetery, Rochester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church.
Clayton E. Klingerman
ROCHESTER -- Clayton E. Klingerman, 64, formerly of Bremen, passed away suddenly at his
Rochester home Friday evening, April 15, 2011 due to an apparent heart attack.
Clayton was born in Bremen, the son of Chester Earl and Catherine Elma (Williams) Klingerman
Oct. 18, 1946. He was raised on the farm where he came to appreciate the outdoors, livestock
and animals of all kinds. He graduated from Bremen High School with the class of 1964.
In April of 1966 he was drafted and began a tour of duty in Vietnam with the 10th Infantry – Fifth
United States Army. After returning home he continued with farm work.
On Sept. 5, 1970 in St. Dominic’s Church he married
Theresa K. Clauss also of Bremen.
Together they would have three children.
In August of 1985 he fulfilled his desire to become an auctioneer by completing the Reppert
School of Auctioneering in Decatur. During his career he specialized in livestock sales and
horse trading mainly in the Shipshewana area. He enjoyed caring for animals.
With his family he had attended St. Michael’s Church in Plymouth, enjoyed fishing with his sons
and horseback riding trips in Brown County.
He was a member of the Indiana Auctioneers Association.
Clayton is survived by his former spouse; Theresa K. Klingerman of Bremen; his daughter,
Sarah K. Klingerman of Plymouth; and two sons, Clinton E. Klingerman of Plymouth and Nathan
E. Klingerman of Rochester with whom he made his home. He was also a close father figure to
Zach Feltner of Knox. One brother; Chester E. 'Skip' and his wife Media Klingerman of Plymouth
also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Catherine E. Ernsberger.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Life
Celebrant – Roberta Norris.
Military honors will be provided by members of the Plymouth American Legion Post 27, V.F.W.
and D.A.V. Immediately following the service.
Interment will be in the Bremen cemetery.

Wallace Clanton
WALKERTON -- Wallace Clanton, 89, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Miller’s Merry Manor,
Walkerton.
Survivors include: three daughters, Carol Roden of Koontz Lake, Connie Mills of LaPorte and
Deborah (Bob) Harris of Fish Lake; one sister, Jettie Goodman of Rolling Prairie; three brothers,
Mack Clanton of North Carolina, Clifton (Alice) Clanton of Stevensville, Mich. And Bill (Diane)
Clanton of Huntley, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. CDT at the First Church of
God in LaPorte. Friends may visit with the family Saturday at the church from 12 p.m. until the
time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church or the
Harbor Lights Hospice.

Marvin C. Miller
PLYMOUTH -- Marvin C. Miller, 73, a resident of Menominee Trail, Plymouth, died following an
illness Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Born Aug. 11, 1937 in Mishawaka, he was the only child of
Wilbur F. and Ferrel M. (Jones) Miller. After moving to Plymouth he graduated from Lincoln High
School in 1955.
The 18-year-old redhead enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from the summer of his
graduation until 1958. Marv was proud to have been included on the maiden voyage of the
U.S.S. Saratoga and experience the deck landing of President Eisenhower.
On June 21, 1959 Marv and the former Mary Ann Sanders were married
in the County Line
Brethren Church, Lakeville. For the past 52 years the couple has resided in the home that Marv
himself built on Holem Lake which were familiar surroundings for Mary Ann as she had grown up
just on the other side of the lake.
They have been longtime members of the Plymouth Church of the Brethren.
Marv was a reliable employee of NIPSCO for 35 years and retired in 1995. He was an avid
hunter and fisherman, who was instrumental in launching the successful Menominee Marsh
Project. He was also a founding member of the Marco Bass Masters and remained an
environmental advocate. He followed the Indianapolis Colts, Notre Dame and NASCAR’s Jeff
Gordon.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Sanders) Miller, a daughter; Christine L. Miller of Plymouth,
a son Jeffrey K. (Carolyn) Miller of Orange City, Fla. And two grandsons; Timothy C. Miller of
Tallahassee, Fla. And Matthew N. Miller of Kentucky.
Marv was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Plymouth
Church of the Brethren, 1130 N. Michigan St. where visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Pastor
Ruth Yoder will officiate.

Shirley J. Roberts
WILLOWBROOK, Ill. -- Shirley J. Roberts, age 63, is at rest April 16, 2011. She was the loving
wife of Keith R. White; dear sister of Bobbi Roberts and the late Arla Roberts; and beloved
daughter of the late Maryalice and John E. Roberts.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Adolf Funeral Home 7000 S. Madison St;
Willowbrook. Funeral services will be Wednesday with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of
service at 11 a.m. at Hinsdale United Methodist Church 945 S. Garfield Ave; Hinsdale. Interment
will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Tyler Brant Wiegand
NORTH LIBERTY -- Tyler Brant Wiegand, 17, of North Liberty, Ind., passed away Saturday
morning, April 16, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 4,
1993 in South Bend, Ind., to Jason E. and Carla C. (Nickles) Wiegand.
Tyler is survived by his parents; sister, Alyssa Wiegand of the University of Indianapolis; brother,
Phillip Wiegand of North Liberty; grandfather, Nelson E. Nickles of Walkerton, Ind.; and
grandmother, June M. Wiegand of Walkerton.
He is also survived by three uncles: James A. Wiegand of Walkerton, Jon J. Wiegand of
Walkerton, and Robert E. (Nikki) Nickles of Granger, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, LaVon M. Nickles June 24, 2003 and his
grandfather, Jerry A. Wiegand May 12, 1999.
Tyler was a student at John Glenn High School and was very active in the Future Farmers of
America. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troop #239.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in the Tyner United
Methodist Church, 4503 French St. Tyner, Ind. Rev. Michael Dixon will officiate.
Burial will follow in Fair cemetery, North Liberty.
Friends may visit with the family in the church from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m.
Wednesday.

Clara B. (Rensberger) Baker
PLYMOUTH -- Clara Berneice Baker, 94, a lifetime Plymouth resident, died at 6 p.m. Sunday,
April 17, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
The daughter of Grover and May Coyle Rensberger, she was born August 20, 1916 in Plymouth.
She attended Linkville School.
Clara was first married
to Carroll Baker who preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1957. She then
married
Cleo Vance Hershberger who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 1979, and was later
married
to Dale Baker who preceded her in death Feb. 24, 2000.
A housewife on the farm, she also worked for over 20 years at American Optical, retiring in 1978.
Clara was a great cook who also loved to crochet, knit.
Clara raised chickens on the farm and the children were treated to farm fresh eggs and a
wonderful chicken dinner every Sunday.
She attended Shiloh Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Lakeview Home Ec. Club.
Clara is survived by three sons: Richard (Delores) Baker, Robert (Patricia) Baker and Don
Baker, all of Plymouth; one daughter, Mary 'Louise' (David) Baker of Portage; 12 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bessie Snyder and
Mary Hostetler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a grandson, Michael; a greatgrandson,
Dustin Ronk; four brothers: Henry, Roy, Amos and Carl Rensberger; and four sisters:
Dorothy Ayers, Nancy Huffman, Vera Shaffer and Martha Wilcox.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. John Perkinson, pastor of the Shiloh Wesleyan Church,
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the funeral home.

Raymond E. Beck
PLYMOUTH – Raymond E. Beck, 90, a Plymouth resident since 1994, coming from LaPorte,
died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Carriage Way residence he made with his son
and family.
The son of Fred S. and Lela Smith Beck, Ray was born in Dayville, Ore. Feb. 26, 1921. He later
moved with his family to Chicago suburb of Harvey, Ill.
Feb. 23, 1943, Ray and Minnie Ada Madsen were married
in Harvey. The following day, he was
shipped out to Europe and there crossed Normandy Beach. Minnie preceded him in death Dec.
29, 2000.
In his youth, Ray was raised on a farm; after his stint in the military, he returned to own a Filling
Station in LaPorte. He later went to work for Coca-Cola in LaPorte and then in 1986 he retired
from Tucker Freight Line in Michigan City.
A craftsman, he enjoyed home remodeling projects and working with wood. He was also a
handyman at his LaPorte church. He loved mowing with his Simplicity tractor. Spending time with
his son spliting wood, he and his wife traveled extensively; as campers they went from a station
wagon to a motor home.
Ray is survived by a daughter, Linda (Robert) Easton of Cleveland, Texas; two sons, Herbert P.
(Katie) Beck of Denver, Colo. And Robert K. (Debra) Beck of Plymouth; three granddaughters:
Candice Easton of Houston, Texas, Emily Beck of Denver, Colo., and Megan E. Beck of
Pittsburg, Pa.; and four grandsons: William Easton of Houston, Texas, Matthew Beck and Eric J.
Beck, both of Denver, Colo. And Adam C. (Karina) Beck of Nashville, Tenn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the Pastor Matt Elliott of the Grace Baptist Church, will be held
immediately following visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
