ROCHESTER -- Mary Lois Doud, 87, of Rochester, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16,
2011 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
She is survived by a son, James (Bonnie) Doud of Akron.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 and one hour prior to services Saturday
at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rochester IOOF cemetery.

Mary Lou (Arch) Hesch
BREMEN -- Mary Lou (Arch) Hesch, 80, of Bremen, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at
Community Hospital of Bremen.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Philip (Pam) Hesch of Elkhart and Kurt (Colleen)
Hesch of Bremen; daughter, Amy (Barry) Beeson of Bremen; six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren;
and sisters, Carol (Harold) Hammond of South Bend and Nancy (Jim) Stuckman
of Bremen.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Bremen cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospital of Bremen.

Anthony Pernell Burnham
MONTEREY -- Anthony Pernell Burnham, 46, of 900 S., Monterey, died at 5:59 p.m. Thursday,
Feb. 17, 2011 at his residence.
He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Mathews of Florida; father and stepmother, Phillip and
Jean Binion of Culver; mother and stepfather, Janice and Frank Gumm Sr. of Tennessee;
brothers: Kenneth Binion of Kentucky, Mark Binion of Arkansas, Timothy Binion of Knox, Harold
Teetz of Ohio, Pete Rozinsky of Ohio, and Charles McNear of Ohio; sisters, Teresa (Eric)
McClellan of Knox, and Rebecca Binion of Walkerton; stepsisters, Freida Conn of Argos, and
Patty Conn of Plymouth; and stepbrothers: Mike Conn of Walkerton, Jerry (Tammy) Conn of
Jackson, Ky., Frank James Gumm Jr. and Roger Allen Burnham (Michelle), both of Bristol, Tenn.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ,
15676 Michigan Road, Argos.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amanda Mathews Educational Fund. (envelopes will
be at the church or may be mailed to 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, IN, 46501).
Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Becky Lechlitner
WAKARUSA -- Becky Lechlitner, 53, Wakarusa, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at
Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 4, 1957 to Harold and Eloise (Balsley) Brenneman. She married Mark
Lechlitner July 20, 1985 in Elkhart.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Joshua and Jared Lechlitner of Wakarusa; mother, Eloise
Brenneman of Elkhart; and sisters, Beth (Ed) Kovatch of Mishawaka and Brenda (Paul) Fizer, Elkhart.
Preceding her in death was her father, Harold Brenneman.
Becky was a 1976 Graduate of Penn High School, member of the Wakarusa Missionary Church
and was the kitchen manager at Wakarusa Elementary School. Becky enjoyed camping and
canoeing. She had a 'never quit' attitude. The family would especially like to thank her best
friend Sandy Casteel for all her efforts.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Wakarusa Missionary Church, 202 W.
Waterford St., Wakarusa, where the service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21. Pastor Paul
Commons will officiate and burial will be in Olive (East) cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to donor’s choice.
Reith-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Wilma Jean Blumbaugh
PLYMOUTH -- Wilma Jean Blubaugh, 84, a Baker St. resident, Plymouth, died at 5:20 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
Jeanie was born in Argos, Indiana, on June 29, 1926. She was the daughter of Donald and Cora
Andrews Calhoun.
She graduated from Argos High School.
She married Raymond Blubaugh on June 29, 1947 in Plymouth. Raymond died January 9, 1998.
Jeanie was employed as a secretary for 20 years at the Divine Heart Seminary. She also worked
at the Pilot News and at Ancilla College.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi in
Plymouth, joining in 1949.
Jeanie is survived by two sons: Mark A. (Darlene) Blubaugh and Michael R. (Sharon) Blubaugh.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Kelsey (Bryan) Bell, Danielle (Matt) Gantz, Jennifer
(Stephen) Guriel all of Plymouth and Jeremy Blubaugh of Minneapolis, Minn.
Also surviving are three great grandchildren: Tynley and McKoy Gantz of Plymouth and Carter
Guriel of Plymouth.
Two brothers survive as well: Richard Calhoun and Charles (Jennifer) Calhoun, both of Argos,
along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, and two brothers, Don
and Robert Calhoun.
Visitation with the family will be in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan
St., Plymouth, on Monday, February 21, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the
funeral services on Tuesday.
Funeral services for Jeanie will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home. Father William Kummer will officiate. Entombment will follow in the New Oakhill
Mausoleum.
Memorial gifts in Jeanie’s name may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care,
112 S. Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563 and St. Michael Church, 611 N. Center St., Plymouth, IN
46563.

Richard Chester McCoige
FORT WAYNE -- Richard Chester McCoige, 73, of Octagon Square, Fort Wayne, formerly of
Plymouth, died at 11:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Palmeras Alf Care Center, Sun City, Ariz.,
following a lengthy illness
He was born Jan. 14, 1938 in Plymouth to Chester M. and Alta (Shultz) McCoige and grew up
and lived in the Culver community.
He married Sally A. Laudeman Aug. 1. 1992 in Fort Wayne.
Richard worked for 26 years as a steel fabricator and retired as president of T&M Boiler in 2004.
He served in the United States Air Force from Sept. 12, 1957 to March 3, 1961 and was a
member of the American Legion Post #0385, LaPaz.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters: Sandy Dollman and husband Russ of Peoria, Ariz.,
Jackie Greenwell of Tucson, Ariz., and Terry McCoige of Montrose, Colo.; stepdaughters, Cara
Heiderreich and husband David of Fort Wayne, and Sue Smith of Fort Wayne; brother, Robert
McCoige and wife Chris of Goshen; sister, Jean Bystri of North Carolina and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David McCoige.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman
Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, and one hour prior to funeral services.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Mace
officiating.
Burial will follow at Maxinkuckee IOOF cemetery at Poplar Grove, Culver, with military rites by
the United States Air Force and the Argos American Legion Post #68.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association: Midwest Affiliate; 3816
Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL, 60674.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.

Mina Mellott
ETNA GREEN -- Mina Mellott, 101, of Etna Green, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. in
Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty L. (Max) Blackburn of Mentone; son, Fred A. (Dena)
Mellott of Bourbon; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgranddaughter.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the Etna Green Church of
Christ 206 W. Broadway, Etna Green.
Funeral services will take place at noon Tuesday at the church.
Burial will follow in the Etna Green cemetery, Etna Green.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Etna Green Church of Christ or Kosciusko Home
Care & Hospice Inc., P.O. Box #1196, 1515 Provident Drive, Suite #250 Warsaw, IN, 46581.

Mary E. Hudkins
Mary E. Hudkins, 96, 9268 W. 100 North, Bruce Lake Station, Kewanna, died at 2:56 a.m.
Saturday at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Bruce cemetery, Kewanna. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.

John James Hutchings
ENID, Okla. -- John James Hutchings died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at home in Enid,
Okla.
He was born May 1, 1927 in Morris, Ill. To Forrest and Ada (Goss) Hutchings.
John grew up in Plymouth, Ind. And graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945.
John worked for the Indiana Motor Bus Company for 24 years as the Charter Coach Manager.
He took many trips to Wrigley Field to see his beloved Cubs play.
He then worked for Tucker Freight Lines for 12 years as a salesman. John worked eight years
for Hill Truck Sales selling Freightliners. He retired in 1993.
He married Grace A. Long Oct. 20, 1951 in Plymouth. They celebrated their 59th anniversary in
2010. They have three children.
John and Grace lived in South Bend, Ind. For 41 years. In the summer of 2004 they moved to
Enid, Okla. Where he helped his daughter and son-in-law in their McDonald’s business. He was
the official paper shredder and made sure that everyone in the organization received a birthday
greeting.
John was a 50-year member and past president of the South Bend Lions Club, and was a
current member and past president of the Enid Noon Ambucs. He was an avid golfer and had
two holes-in-one during his golfing days. His only rule on the golf course was that you did not
lose your temper and you never threw a club.
He was a proud blood donor in Indiana and Oklahoma donating many gallons through the years.
John was an Eagle Scout and was proud when his grandson became one as well.
He is survived by wife, Grace; daughters, Lynn Biddle and husband Steve of Enid, Okla., Cris
Dycus and Lester Sellers of Bourbon; and son, Jeff Hutchings and Anna Ricci of South Bend; six
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of Indiana.
Also surviving are sisters, Elizabeth Smith of Orland Park, Ill. And Phyllis Kelsey, Ada M. Petill,
Susan Newman, Helen Beedy and Toni Hutchings, all of Plymouth; and a brother, James
Hutchings of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Marjorie VanVactor, Mary Jane Pullian,
and Ruth Hutchings; and brother, Robert Hutchings.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, Feb. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the JohnsonDanielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Plymouth Church of the Brethren, 1130
N. Michigan St., Plymouth, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services. The Rev.
Robbie Keck, pastor of Teegarden First Brethren, will officiate.

Carol R. (Marchand) Miller
BREMEN -- Carol R. (Marchand) Miller, 64, of Bremen, died Feb. 19, 2011 at University of
Chicago Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Andy; son, James Daniel (Dan) and Kim Miller, of Little Rock,
Ark.; her mother and step-father; two brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Feb. 22 at Bremen Missionary Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the church, officiated by Pastor Gary Hinkle.
Burial will be at Bremen cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Foundation.
The Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is handling arrangements.

Leonard Vigil
CULVER -- Leonard Vigil, 63, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 in Culver.
He is survived by his daughter, Delila (Martin) Cramer; two granddaughters; and a nephew.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors
Chapel, 4400 W. Waco Drive, Waco, Texas, with a Rosary service at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the funeral chapel.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, is assisting the family with local arrangements.
