Mount E. "Mike" Garrett, 76, a World War II veteran, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at home.
The Wells County native was a Southern Wells Community Schools school bus driver for 37 years and also worked at American Breeding Service for 45 years. He was a member of Liberty Center Baptist Church, the Liberty Center Lions Club, Bluffton American Legion, and the Liberty Center Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Jennifer Paxson of Poneto; a brother, Pat of Bluffton; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kim L.; and sisters Ruba J. Harris and Mary E. Harris. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Liberty Center Baptist Church, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery in Bluffton.

Mary Jane Bredemeyer, 44, of Columbia City, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital.
"She was a loving wife, daughter and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her." The Ohio City, Ohio, native worked as a registered nurse and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. She is survived by her her husband, Steven C., of Columbia City; her parents, Chester and Lois Fegley of Ohio City, Ohio; brothers Richard Fegley of Ohio City, Ohio, Floyd Fegley of Fort Wayne, Dennis Fegley of Van Wert, Ohio, and Dwight Fegley of Pasa Robles, Calif.; and sisters, Nancy Gipson of Fort Wayne, Barbara Fegley of Baltimore, and Joan Ford of Saginaw, Mich. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne. Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, and Thursday one hour prior to services at the Church. Willis G. "Bill" Teague, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Lagrange Hospital. The Grubbs, Ark., native was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Moose Lodge in Wausau, Wis. He worked in maintanance for Keidaish Vending Co. in Ligonier. Surviving are his wife, Betty, of Lagrange; stepsons Leland Sparks of Reading, Pa., Tomas Sparks of Maine and Dallas Sparks of Oshkosh, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Juith Bratz of Oshkosh, Wis.; brothers Jim of Little Rock, Ark., and Isaac of Grubbs, Ark.; sisters Brenda Lindsey and Vera Mae Mullins, both of Newport, Ark., and Linda Malone of Proctor, Ark.; and six stepgrandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hutchins Funeral Home in Wolcottville. Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodruff cemetery.

Bernice Opal Witte Dominy, 84, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at home.
The Fort Wayne native's hobbies included time spent with family, traveling, dancing, and playing cards. Surviving are her son, Larry T. of Moab, Utah; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman; and several brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lindenwood cemetery in Fort Wayne. Memorials are to Cure for Alzheimer's or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Isaac Joseph Lung was stillborn Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Surviving are parents Brian S. and Cynthia K. Lung of Garrett; a brother, Evan of Garrett; grandparents Larry and Jodi Lung, and Roger and Sandy Terry, all of Garrett; great-grandparents Lawrence and Sarah Lung of Bonita Springs, Fla., Irene Terry of Garrett, and Paul Beuchel of Carmel; and several aunts and uncles. The Vera Cruz native was a previous member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur. Surviving are her husband, Lewis M. of Berne; sons Steven of Decatur and Fred of Geneva; a daughter, Susan K. Rich of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two infant brothers; and her sister, Beulah Affolder. The LaGrange County native was a farmer and was Old Order Amish. He is survived by his parents, Jonas E. and Ida Miller of Topeka; brothers Lonnie, Perry and Paul Miller; sisters Leona Yoder, Sueanna Stoltzfus, Carolyn John and Marietta Miller; and his grandmother, Ola Fry, of Topeka. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Melvin Miller residence, Ligonier. Calling is 1 p.m. today, and all day Tuesday at the family residence in Topeka. Burial will be at Hawpatch cemetery, Topeka.

Beulah M. Archbold, 91, of Bluffton, a member of Markle Church of the Brethren, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Meadowvale Care Center.
The Portland native was a cook for more than 10 years at Caylor-Nickel Medical Center. Surviving are a son, Merrill of Bluffton; a daughter, Patricia Myers of Bluffton; sisters Gladys Cunningham of Houston, and June Chaney of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lotus, a sister and a brother. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton, with calling from 2 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Markle cemetery.

George W. Cross, 83, of Huntington, a member of East Canton Church of God, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, Ind. The Martinsville, W.Va., native retired in 1982 after 28 years at Canton Stocker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was also a Sunday school teacher and usher. Surviving are a son, Donald of Fort Wayne; sisters Marjorie Tharp of Morgantown, W.Va., Pauline Meyer of Washington, Pa., Kathleen Anthony and Virginia Starkey, both of New Martinsville, W.Va., Sarah Kremetz of Vinland, N.J., and Alice Edge of Middlebourne, W.Va.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at East Canton Church of God, East Canton, Ohio. Surviving are her husband, Major; sons Randy and Rodney Day, both of North Manchester, and Rick Day of Mexico, Ind.; brothers John Meyer of Huntington, James of Fort Wayne, and Phillip of Berrin Springs, Mich.; sisters Mary Bowman and Sally Stickney, both of North Manchester; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
