Luzetta M. Swantusch, 92, of Angola, who attended nursing school in Chicago, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
The Garrett native worked at Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola and attended Baylor University in Texas. Surviving is a sister, Barbara J. Blough of Brighton, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, a sister and three brothers. Burial and graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Creek cemetery in Garrett.

Kimmell - 1924-2003
Gilva E. Miller, 78, of Kimmell, who enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at home.
The Kimmell native had worked for Wirk Garment in Ligonier for several years and for West Noble School Corp. as a custodian. She was a member of Kimmell United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Joseph F.; a son, David J. of Cromwell; daughters Billie S. Brown of Ligonier and Becky L. Hausbach of Goshen; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Ulrey-Renner Funeral Home, Ligonier, with calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Nannie H. Tope Adkins, 76, of Defiance, Ohio, a private duty caregiver, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at Harborside.
"She loved quilting and scrapbooking, and enjoyed flowers." The Oak Hill native was also a homemaker and member of Old Regular Baptist Northern Little Dove Church in Pierceton, Ind. Surviving are her husband, Carl D.; sons Richard and Harold, both of Oakwood, Howard of MeleRose and Gregory of Cecil; daughters Karen Aldred and Carol Jeffery, both of Paulding, Sharon Newsome of Oakwood and Barbara Carlisle of Mark Center; sisters Doris Roach and Nova Lovett; 20 grandchildren; 30 stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 21 stepgreat-grandchildren. Ruby M. Morrow, 90, of Columbia City, a member of Faith Baptist Church, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Heritage Park Care Center in Fort Wayne.
The Whitley County native retired in 1977 from Weatherhead Co. after 29 years of service. Surviving are a son, Carl W. Barnes of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Barbara Bridge of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H., a sister and a brother. "He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and will be missed by many." The New Haven native retired in 2000 from John Yoder Inc. as carpenter. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 296 and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Davis of New Haven; a granddaughter, Penny Lee of Greenwood; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J.
