Greg Allen Howard, age 43, of New Windsor, IL, and formerly of South Whitley, IN, recently passed away at his home. Born July 31, 1968 in Wabash, IN, he was the son of George A. and Janet L. (Brown) Howard.
He graduated from Whitko High School with the Class of 1986 and attended college in Defiance, OH and IPFW, Fort Wayne. He lived in South Whitley for 21 years prior to moving to Illinois where he lived for the past 23 years. He worked at P.P.C. Plastics, Moline, IL in the injection mold set-up department.
Survivors include his parents, George A. and Janet L. Howard of South Whitley; 2 brothers, Glen (Tracy) Howard of Pierceton and Gene Howard of South Whitley; 4 nieces and nephews. His grandparents preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Booneville cemetery, Larwill, with Certified Funeral Celebrant, Sharon Brockhaus, officiating. Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Howard's memory to the donor's choice of charity. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. EDYTHE ILENE RICHARDSON

E. Ilene Richardson, age 84, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 2:40 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Covington Meadows, Fort Wayne. Born on November 15, 1927 in Fort Wayne the daughter of Paul H. and Irene (Ferrell) Shroyer.
In 1937 she moved from Allen County to her present home in Whitley County. She attended Jefferson Township Elementary School and graduated with the Class of 1945 from Jefferson Township High School. On November 10, 1951 she married
William D. Richardson in Columbia City. She was employed in the office of General Electric Company in Fort Wayne for nine years and also worked as a custodian for the Jefferson Township School for 11 years. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Coesse and the Jefferson Homemaker's Extension Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy L. Richardson of Columbia City; son, Bill D. (Star) Richardson of Greenfield; brother, Norman (Shirley) Shroyer of Phoenix, AZ and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William D.(Bill) Richardson, infant brother, Donald Shroyer and sister, Helen Clark.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastors Judy Follis and Howard Marken officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Lutheran cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Richardson's memory to National Autism Society, American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
KATHLEEN J. BOWER

Kathleen J. Bower, age 65, of South Whitley, IN passed away at 8:15 am Thursday, April 26, 2012 at her residence. Born on December 4, 1946 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Keith and Helen (Joy) Herr.
She spent her lifetime in South Whitley graduating from South Whitley High School with the Class of 1964. She married
Earl E. Bower on September 5, 1964 at her parents' home in South Whitley. She was a homemaker and a former member of Troy Presbyterian Church. She also was a member for over 25 years of Delts in South Whitley and Columbia City.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Earl E. Bower of South Whitley; 2 daughters, Sherri A. (Steve) Bidwell, Muncie and Julie (Chris) Wolf of South Whitley; 5 grandchildren, 1 sister, Judith (Carl) Keirn, South Whitley and 1 aunt, Mariam Bishop, South Whitley. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at a later date at the South Whitley cemetery, South Whitley. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City. Memorial bequests may be given in Mrs. Bower's memory to the South Whitley Library to purchase books.
VIRGINIA ROSE WISEMAN

Virginia Rose Wiseman, age 82, of Columbia City, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on May 9, 1928 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Roland "Victor" Phend and Hazlette (Brubaker) Ferguson.
She lived in Columbia City and Larwill, until her marriage, then moved to Tippecanoe Township, Kosciusko County, then moving to Noble County and later in life moving back to Columbia City. She graduated from Larwill High School with the Class of 1946. She worked with her mother at the "Dairy Bar" in North Webster and then worked for Group Dekko for 28 years at different locations. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary Post #253 in North Webster.
Survivors include a son Charles Douglas (Vicky) Wiseman of Apple Valley, MN; 1 daughter, Rebeckah R. Wiseman of Pierceton and a son Jack L. (Beesa) Wiseman of Pierceton; 10 grandchildren inlcuding Tami Miller, who was reared by her grandmother and in return Tami became her caregiver late in life; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 2 sisters, Patricia Reiff of Warsaw and Shirley Webber of Rockville, MD; 1 brother, Bill (Connie) Phend of Fort Wayne. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Teresa J. Plybon, sister, Phyllis Mitchell and great grandson, Logan Wiseman.
Visitation is from 2-7 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral serivce will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at the funeral home with Reverend Marilyn Gebert officating. Burial will be at Lakeview cemetery in Larwill. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given of Mrs. Wiseman's to The Beamon Home and Passages. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
MELINDA ANNE JONES

Melinda Anne Jones, age 34, of Huntertown, IN passed away at 10:46 p.m Sunday, January 1, 2012 at her home. Born February 22, 1977, in Columbia City, IN she was the daughter of John and Mildred Earlene (Graves) Bradbury.
She lived in Etna and Columbia City areas most of her lifetime until recently moving to Huntertown. She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1995 and attended Rudae Beauty College earning an Associate Degree. She first worked at Dekko, Knapp Lake, as a factory worker and she currently was employed as a hairstylist at Smart Style located in Wal Mart, Columbia City and Fort Wayne. She enjoyed watching movies, shopping, styling hair and painting nails.
Survivors include her father, John Bradbury of Columbia City; brother, Michel (Tiffany) Jones of Columbia City; 3 children, Hayden Michel Meyer of Columbia City, Olivia Christine West and Xavier Patton West both of Fort Wayne; maternal grandmother, Barbara Sanderson of Fort Wayne; paternal grandmother, Sandra May, Goshen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Earlene Bradbury; daughter, Autumn Dawn Meyer; and great grandmother, Mildred Herron.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. CAROL "DARLENE" KNELLER

Carol "Darlene" Kneller, age 83, of Columbia City, IN passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 5:15 p.m. at Parkview Oaks Nursing Home, Columbia City. Born December 14, 1928 in Syracuse, IN, she was the daughter of Chester and Margaret (Poscharscky) Miller.
She graduated from Syracuse High School with the Class of 1947. She has been a resident of Whitley County since her marriage to Jack L. Kneller on February 14, 1948 in Syracuse. She retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Columbia City, as a clerk.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack L. Kneller of Columbia City; son, Rick A. ("Mick" Russo-Kneller) Kneller of Syracuse; daughter, Tamra J. Gordon of Columbia City; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great great grandchildren and 1 sister, Sandra Baumgarner of Milford. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Betty Miller and Berneice Knisley; son-in-law Dan Gordon and 1 great great grandchild.

MARJORIE M. JUDD

Marjorie M. Judd, age 79, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 1:13 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. Born March 15, 1932 in Noble County, IN, she was the daughter of Chris H. and Dorothy B. (Ringler) Lehman.
She lived in Noble County until the age of nine, moving with her family to Whitley County where she attended Columbia City High School. On July 16, 1949, she married
Dale E. Judd in Columbia City. A homemaker, she was a member of Oak Grove Church of God, and a past member of Columbia City Baptist Church where she arranged and provided altar flowers weekly for the Sunday worship service.
Survivors include her sons, David W. (Michelle "Mike") and Daniel E. (Cindy) Judd both of Columbia City; brothers, Harold (Mary Lou) Lehman and Kenneth (Elsie) Lehman both of Columbia City; sisters, Dorothy Smith of Columbia City, Mary (Este) Martz of Ocala, FL, Betty Anderson of Columbia City, Linda (Gary) Craig and Ruth Ann Trumbull both of Fort Wayne; 3 granddaughters, Teresa Bills, Andrea Sutton and Ericka Lambert; and 4 great-grandsons, Cole and Chase Bills, Trevor Sutton and Andrew Lambert. In addition to her parents and husband, Dale E. Judd, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny D. Judd; brothers, Larry, Charles, Jack and Ralph Lehman; and one great-grandson, Zachary David Lambert.

LANA LYNETTE (HARRIS) MCCOY

Lana Lynette McCoy, 64, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 3:01 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on January 7, 1947 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of William O. and Wilma J. (Roose) Harris.
Lana has spent her entire lifetime in Whitley County and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1965. She then received an associate degree from Fort Wayne Beauty College. Her first marriage was to Larry Dean Wolfe in 1965 and her second marriage was to Jesse N. McCoy on March 27, 2000 in Chattanooga, TN.
She first worked as a hairstylist, then Dwyers, South Whitley, Magnavox for 10 years of service, Stumps Printing, South Whitley, Breyden Products, Columbia City, served as a waitress at S and L Truck Stop and currently employed at Ultra Electronics/USSI. Her memberships included Eagles Lodge #1906 Auxiliary and Harley Owner's Group.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse N. McCoy, Columbia City; 3 children, Kathy L. (Richard) Flauding, Larwill, Shirley K. (Ti) Langohr, Columbia City and Douglas E. Wolfe, South Whitley; 1 step daughter, Stacey (Keith) Enyeart, Columbia City; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and 2 brothers, William Brent (Cindy) Harris, Wolf Lake and Brad E. Harris, Warsaw. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Larry Dean Wolfe and 2 brothers, Garry and Larry Harris.

William E. Bush

William E. Bush, 71, of Golden Lake, a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force veteran, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at home.
The Steuben County native was an electrical contractor. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; sons James A. of Ashley, Harold E. and Daniel R., both of Angola; daughters Terri Furnish and Joyce Bush, both of Golden Lake, Robin Hammond of Leo-Cedarville, Margie Salinas of Angola, Penny Alwine of Kendallville; a brother, Ted of Arizona; a sister, Mary Born of Bellefontaine, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Circle cemetery in Hudson. Russell D. Roberts, 84, of Montpelier, a World War II Air Force veteran, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton.
The Pennville native retired in 1980 from St. Joe Paper Co. after 40 years of service. He was a member of Pleasantdale United Methodist Church and Millard-Brown American Legion Post 156. Surviving are his wife, Willadine; sons James R. of Fort Wayne and Stephen W. of Monroeville; daughters Jacqueline Faulkner of Decatur and Janet Parson of Montpelier; a brother, Harry Jr. of Marion; sisters Betty Harrold of Montpelier and Rosemond Helm of Dunkirk; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glancy Funeral Homes Walker Chapel, Montpelier, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial and graveside military rites by Post 156 will be at Historic Woodlawn cemetery in Montpelier. Memorials are to the church.

Garnet Crist, 88, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Mason's Health Care Facility in Warsaw.
The South Milford native was a homemaker and attended Community Bible Church of Warsaw. Surviving are a son, Dean of Warsaw; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert, two sisters and eight brothers preceded her in death. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with calling from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Willie Mae Sasser, 90, of Atlanta, Texas, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Atlanta Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She was a retired homemaker. Surviving are her daughters, Doris Seals of Fort Wayne and Mary Sasser of Atlanta; a son, Jesse Jr. of Atlanta; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
