He was honorably discharged from the Army Airborne Division on June 1, 1954. He retired in 1992 after 9 years as a Sales Rep. for Goodyear Truck & Tire Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an avid Woodworker.
Survivors include his wife Mildred L. McCormick Davis (Married November 12, 1949) of Mooresville, Indiana; son John M. Davis of Danville, Indiana and brother Richard F. Davis of Mooresville, Indiana and 2 grandchildren.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2002 at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Bluff Creek cemetery, Bargersville, Indiana. Pastor Brian Richardson will officiate.

Jo Ann Poffenberger Hahn, age 73 of Mooresville, Indiana, died September 17, 2002 in her home of natural causes. She was born October 23, 1928 in Columbus, Indiana to William Lincoln & Correan Isabella Rager Poffenberger.
She was a self-employed beauty operator many years before retirement. She was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Chuch, Indianapolis, Indiana and the VFW Post 908 Ladies Auxiliary, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Survivors include husband James Harold Hahn (married December 27, 1946) of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Linda J. Rairigh of Sunfield, Michigan; Patti A. Gasper of LeRoy, Michigan and Carollyn J. Smith of Mooresville, Indiana; sister Norma J. Hoffman of Largo, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, September 19, 2002 from 3-8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Steven E Pridemore

Steven E. Pridemore age 51 of Mooresville, Indiana died Monday, afternoon at his residence of natural causes. He was born March 13, 1950 in Hendricks County, Indiana to Eugene R. & Gladys Marie Bocock Pridemore.
Steven was a Maintenance Mechanic for reilly Industries in Indianapolis, Indiana for 20 years retiring in 1992. He attended New Beginnings Community Church in Mooresville, Indiana and was a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an old car enthusiast, enjoyed woodworking and his family. He was preceded in death by a brother Michael Ray Pridemore, a sister Cathy J. Pridemore and a granddaughter Chloe Bullington.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Nugent Pridemore whom he married June 27, 1980. Also surviving is three sons; Corey Pridemore of West Bend, Wisconsin, Michael Wayne Bullington & Scott Bullington both of Brownsburg, Indiana, a daughter Sinnamon Price of Indianapolis, Indiana, 2 brothers; Robert D. Pridemore of Mooresville, Indiana and Rick L. Pridemore of Florida, 3 sisters; Norma J. Pridemore of Florida, Hazel M. Richardson of Bloomington, Indiana and E. Kay Padgett of Camby, Indiana and 7 grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, August 29, 2001 from 3-8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana and Thursday, August 30, 2001 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2001 at the funeral chapel. The Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723 will conduct a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29 at the funeral chapel. Burial West Newton cemetery, West Newton, Indiana. The Revs. Tom Richey and Terry Crist will officiate.

Howard Cable

Howard Cable, age 94, of Plainfield, Indiana died November 9, 2002. He was born January 17, 1908 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Thomas & Mattie Brown Cable.
He retired in 1973 after 20 years as as welder for Stewart-Warner, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a 50 year member of the Evergreen Lodge #713 F&AM.;
He was the widower of Louie Francis Turner Cable whom he married February 10, 1945 and who died July 28, 1999. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. Sawyer of Plainfield, Indiana and Judy L. Patrick of Mooresville, Indiana, three grandchildren; Kelly Young, Mindi S. Osgatharp, and Michael E. Sawyer, and 2 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 11, 2002. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. David Patrick at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Maple Hill cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Hendricks County Senior Services.

Shirley A. Stanley

Shirley A. Stanley, age 62 of Martinsville, Indiana died November 19, 2002 in Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born September 14, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry L. Cardinal & Mary H. Underwood Jackson.
She retired in 1996 after 10 years as a Custodian for Mooresville Consolidated School Corp. She was preceded in death by brothers Arthur Cardinal, Sammy Jackson, Harry Cardinal, Jr. and Clifford Jackson and sister Marlene Engle.
Survivors include step-father Clifford Jackson of San Antonio, Texas; husband Robert E. Stanley of Martinsville, Indiana (Married March 5, 1960); sons Lonny E. Stanley of Martinsville, Indiana and Kevin Stanley of Greencastle, Indiana; daughters Christy J. Stanley of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dima Beach of Martinsville, Indiana; sisters Betty Hiter of Indianapolis, Indiana; Cindy Lane of Mooresville, Indiana; Pamela Avery of Gosport, Indiana; Sharon Bell of Houston, Texas; Jane Garrish & Venus O'Kane both of San Antonio, Texas; and 7 grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, November 21, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Shumaker cemetery, Eminence, Indiana. Pastor Phil Weidman will officiate.

Stephanie Lee Williams

Stephanie Lee Williams, age 18 of Mooresville, Indiana died November 19, 2002 as a result of injuries of an automobile accident in Hendricks County, Indiana. She was born May 17, 1984 in Danville, Indiana.
She was a Freshman Radiology Student at IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a 2002 graduate of Mooresville High School. She played softball for the Mooresville Girls Softball League and attended the Coatesville United Methodist Church in Coatesville, Indiana. She was a National Member of the Whos Who Among American Students. She was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother Hannah Parker and paternal grandmother Janet A. Dalton Williams-Fugate.
Survivors include mother Louise M. Parker Williams of Mooresville, Indiana; father Timothy L. Williams of Coatesville, Indiana and paternal grandfather Curtis A. Williams of Mooresville, Indiana.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana. Pastor Rodger Ward will officiate.

Stephen Douglas Rush

Stephen Douglas Rush, age 55 of Centerton, Indiana, died November 20, 2002. He was born November 6, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was a Tower Installer at Val-Can in Centerton, Indiana for 16 years. He attended Grace Missionary Church, Indianapolis, Indiana. he was an Army Veteran honorably Discharged June 19, 1966. He was preceded in death by his mother dotty J. Ellsbury Rush and daughter Julianne Robinson.
Survivors include wife Laneda Rose Taylor Rush of Centerton, Indiana; father Ralph D. Rush of Paragon, Indiana; sons Stephen Douglas Rush, II of Monrovia, Indiana and Fredrick K. Robinson of Cloverdale, Indiana; daughters Susan A. Fivecoat of Advance, Indiana and Robinetta Kay Robinson of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother Terry L. Rush of Martinsville, Indiana; sisters Cecilia Fletcher & Tracy Hendrickson both of Martinsville, Indiana and Debbie Conder of Paragon, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mary Ellen Hyatt Mann, age 93 of Brooksville, Florida formerly of Mooresville, Indiana died March 7, 2003 in tangerine Cove of Brooksville Assisted Living Community, Brooksville, Florida. She was born March 2, 1910 in Morgan County, Indiana to the late George Washington & Mary Lucinda Horton Hyatt.
She was the widow of John Ottis Mann, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sons; John O. Jr. and Bert M. Mann; brothers Jesse, Frank, Everett, Bert and John Hyatt and sister Lula Hyatt.
Survivors include 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

He retired due to disability after 6 years as a parts salesman for Advance Auto Parts, Mooresville, Indiana. Previously he had been a laborer for the Brooklyn Tile Yard and the Brooklyn Brick Yard.
Survivors include wife Janice Lorraine "Jenny" Mitchell Moon of Martinsville, Indiana (Married September 21, 1964); brother Danny L. Moon of Mooresville, Indiana; sisters Kathy L. Shutz of Winchester, Indiana and Rhonda J. Orr of Union City, Ohio.

Cook of Mooresville, Indiana; brothers Gary D. Cave of Mooresville, Indiana and Donald R. Cave, Jr. of Noblesville, Indiana; sisters Margaret "Peggy" A. Cave, Lisa M. Ellison; Cindy Cave Kellery & Carolyn Cave Wamsley all of Danville, Indiana and 3 grandchildren.

Clifford Hugh "Pat" LaFary, age 70 of Mooresville, Indiana died March 20, 2003 at his home of natural causes. He was born June 24, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Conrad Hugh & Doris Burkett LaFary.
He retired in 1987 after 8 years as an electrician for CMW, Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously he retired in 1976 after 21 years as an electrical repairman in the United States Navy. He was the widower of Billie Carol (Towe) LaFary whom he married July 22, 1951 and who died November 6, 2002. He was also preceded in death by a son Larry A. LaFary.
Survivors include sons Terry L. LaFary of Clarksville, Tennessee; Clark J. LaFary of Mooresville, Indiana and Mark R. LaFary of Shelbyville, Indiana; daughters Debra Sue Preston of Treasure Island, Florida and Linda A. Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1961. He retired in 1993, after 27 years, from Allison Gas Turbine, Indianapolis, IN.
