Wesley Ross Darnell, Sr. age 81 of Hanover, Indiana formerly of Mooresville, Indiana died January 17, 2002 in King's Daughters' Hospital, Madison, Indiana. He was born October 20, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Wesley retired in 1977 after 37 years as a tool and gauge maker for Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church, Hanover, Indiana. He was a former member of the Mooresville Friends Church and had been a member of the Mooresville Library Board.
Wesley is survived by his wife Betty J. Whitesell Darnell (married June 8, 1962) of Hanover, Indiana; son Wesley Ross Darnell, Jr. of Orlando, Florida; daughter Rebecca A. Darnell of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother Warren Darnell of Little Neck, New York; 2 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Calling: None. Graveside services 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2002 in White Lick cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. Rev. James Richards will officiate.

Robert Fredrick Holcomb, Sr.

Robert Fredrick Holcomb, Sr. age 87 of Clayton, Indiana died January 21, 2002. He was born January 1, 1915 in Blountsville, Alabama to Charles & Annie Plunkett Holcomb.
Robert retired in 1973 after 35 years as a machinist for Witco Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. He had also been a self employed farmer most of his adult life. He particulary was interested in maintaining a family farms atmosphere in gardening and raising farm animals. He was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church, Hazelwood Volunteer Fire Department and was a 50 year member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving as a Field Switchboard Operator in 1075th Signal Corp of the 318 Service Group. He was the widower of Hazel Marie Reinken Holcomb whom he married August 24, 1940 and who died April 24, 1996. He was also preceded in death by a daughter; Toby Kay Holcomb; brothers Virgil, Vester, Vernon and Frank Holcomb; sisters Velma Case, Olene Putman and Mary Green.
Robert is survived by sons; Robert F. Holcomb of Monrovia, Indiana; Timothy Lee Holcomb of Monrovia, Indiana; daughters Sandra L. Mullen, Brenda M. Morgan and Jeanette C. Cummick all of Monrovia, Indiana; sisters Elwin Peebles and Clara Jaeger both of Indianapolis, Indiana; 7 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 10 step-grreat grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, January 23, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Clayton cemetery, Clayton, Indiana. Rev. Steve Rich will officiate. Deanna Kay Dethridge Lawrence age 48 of Mooresville, Indiana died January 27, 2002 in Community Hospital South, Indianapolis, Indiana. Deanna was born April 12, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Carol Mart & Doris June Rhodes Dethridge.
Deanna was a banquet captain for Primo Banquet Hall & Conference Center, Plainfield, Indiana. Previously for 3 years she was an assistant manager for Lost Name Steak House, Mooresville, Indiana and previously for 13 years was manager for Mooresville & Plainfield Pizza Huts.
Deanna is survived by husband Douglas Alan Lawrence (married March 22, 1983) of Mooresville, Indiana; 2 sons Christopher Wayne Curry & Nicholas Allen Lawrence both of Mooresville, Indiana; daughter Sara June Curry of Mooresville, Indiana; 2 sisters Marcia L. Vaugh of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jackie C. Young of Carrollton, Kentucky; 2 grandsons.
Calling is Tuesday, January 29, 2002 from 5-8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service is Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Marsanne Dawn Beckett

She is survived by Mother & Step-father; Loren L. & Pongueita Dawn Livingston Moore of Monrovia, Indiana; Father & Step-mother; Marlin Ersel & Audrey Beckett of West Jefferson, Ohio; brother Darrel Lane Beckett of West Jefferson, Ohio; grandparents Jerry & Pauline Maners Livingston McCloud of Monrovia, Indiana; Thelma Beckett of Clay, West Virginia; Step-grandparents Dexter & Anna Lee Houldson Moore of Terre Haute.

Doris B. Teeters Grass age 91 of Mooresville, Indiana died June 21, 2001 in Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home, Mooresville, Indiana. Doris was born March 7, 1910 in Johnson County, Indiana to Raymond & Hazel Surface Teeters.
She retired in 1993 after 13 years as the manager for Howard Johnson, Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously she was secretary to the manager of the Lincoln Hotel, Indianapolis and a sales associate for L S Ayres & Co., Indianapolis. She was a life member of Soroptimist International of Indianapolis, the first woman President of the Indianapolis Hotel/Motel Association. She also served on the planning committee for the building of the Indiana Convention-Exposition Center. She was a member of the Church at Mt. Gilead, Mooresville, Indiana. She was the widow of Chauncy Linton Grass whom she married June 26, 1929 and who died December 22, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mae Owen.
Doris is survived by two sons; Wayne C. Grass of Mooresville, Indiana and Kurt A. Grass of Gig Harbor, Washington, a sister; Delores Woods of Indianapolis and 7 granddaughters and 16 great grandchildren.
Calling is 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2001 at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Glenns Valley and the Rev. Terry Crist will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to: The Church at Mt. Gilead, The American Diabetes Association or The American Cancer Association.

Sarah Joan Pitman

Sarah Joan Phillips Pitman age 72 of Mooresville, Indiana died March 12, 2002 in her home of natural causes. Sarah was born February 4, 1930 in Plainfield, Indiana to Raymond Kree & Evelyn Mae Moss Phillips.
Sarah retired in 1993 after 40 years as Bookkeeper and Co-owner of Pitman Painting, Mooresville, Indiana. She had also been assistant manager of Methodist Hospital Credit Union from 1975 until 1986. She was a member of Monrovia Christian Church, Monrovia, Indiana. she was the widow of Joseph Edward Pitman whom she married on December 12, 1948 and who died on December 9, 2001. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Donald Phillips.
Sarah is survived by three sons: Anthony A. Pitman and John T. Pitman both of Indianapolis, Indiana; Thomas D. Pitman of Mooresville, Indiana; two sisters; Mildred Louise Wells of Greenwood, Indiana and Jacqueline Mae Troutman of Indianapolis, Indiana; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Calling: None Graveside Service 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2002 at Maple Hill cemetery Chapel, Plainfield, Indiana. Burial will be at Maple Hill cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana. Rev. Kurt Alexander will officiate.

Thelma May Cordray

Thelma May Cordray age 85 of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Mooresville, Indiana died March 19, 2002 in Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born March 6, 1917 in Morgan County, Indiana to Thomas J. & Daisy Champlin Cordray.
Thelma was a production worker 10 years for Ray Envelope retiring in 1978. Previously she was a cafeteria worker several years at Uniroyal, was a cook at the Teepee, Indianapolis, Indiana and Gray's Cafeteria, Mooresville, Indiana. She was a member of the True Word Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Thelma is survived by a son Robert E. Stanley of Martinsville, Indiana; daughters Louella M. "Teddy" Brown of Haines City, Florida and Marilyn I Hatcher of Indianapolis, Indiana; 12 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.
Callings from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2002 at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in West Newton cemetery, West Newton, Indiana. Rev. Floyd C. Blankenship will officiate.

William "Will" Timothy Walsh, Jr.

William Timothy "Will" Walsh, Jr. age 34 of Martinsville, Indiana died March 19, 2002 in Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born September 14, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Will was a truck driver 12 years and had worked the past 7 months for Marathon Electric.
Will is survived by wife Dana Lynn Nugent Walsh (Married June 16, 2001) of Martinsville, Indiana; parents William Timothy & Mary Ann Marcantoni Walsh of Abingdon, Maryland; brother Adam Walsh of Bel Aire, Maryland; sister Nicole Law of Abingdon, Maryland.

Howard retired after several years as a janitor for Northwood Elementary School, Mooresville, Indiana. Previously he was a delivery man several years for Farm Bureau Mill, Tipton, Indiana. He was a member of the Mooresville Church of God. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was the widower of Lenora Edith Haworth Lopossa Mock whom he married in 1963 and who died August 25, 1994.
Howard is survived by step-son Raymond R. Lopossa of Mooresville, Indiana; step-daughters; Maxine Johnson of Florida, Nancy C. Miley of Mooresville, Indiana and Dixie M. Miller of Mooresville, Indiana; 7 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren.

Donald Richard Bailey age 66 of Spencer, Indiana formerly of Mooresville, Indiana died May 26, 2002 at his home of natural causes. He was born June 19, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard Alnoy & Ruth Bland Bailey.
Donald retired in 1997 after 12 years as a custodian for Neil Armstrong Elementary School, Mooresville, Indiana. Previously he was an area supervisor and store manager 10 years for Dairyland Corporation, Indianapolis, and previous to that he was a supervisor 18 years for Maplehurst Farms, Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School and a member fo the Mooresville Eagle Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Janice Robinson Bailey, a brother; James Glen Bailey and two grandchildren.
Donald is survived by wife Rita Jane Harriman Bailey of Spencer, Indiana; daughters Debra K. Petersen of Fishers, Indiana; Christina M. Bailey of Indianapolis, Indiana; sons Mark A. Bailey of Lawrence, Indiana; William R. Bailey of Mooresville, Indiana; sister Delores Lewis of Spencer, Indiana; brother Walter E. Bailey of Hudson, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the funeral chapel. Margaret "Marjorie" Frost

Margaret "Marjorie" Clemmons Frost age 84 of Speedway, Indiana died June 24, 2001 of natural causes at the home of a friend in Mooresville, Indiana. She was born March 24, 1917 in Fairboat, Minnesota to Harry & M.L. Mayland Clemmons.
She retired in 1988 after 35 years as a machine operator for Eli Lily & Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the widow of Chester Vernone "Jack" Frost whom she married September 12, 1959 and who passed away in 1989.
She is survived by friends Robert W. & Joyce J. Allen of Mooresville, Indiana.
The will not be any calling. Graveside Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Washington Park cemetery East. Chaplain Jeff Bower will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 North Payne Road, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.

Todd was currently a manager at Indy Lube in Westfield, Indiana for the past 2 years. He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1989. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather St. Elmo Day and paternal grandparents Herman and Dorothy Turley Pryor.
Todd is survived by daughter Kirsten Zoey Pryor of Greenwood, Indiana and Seth Pryor of Mooresville, Indiana; parents Gary R. & Betty M. Day Pryor of Mooresville, Indiana; brothers Terry & Timothy Turner both of Indianapolis, Indiana; Brad Pryor of Greenwood, Indiana and Tyler Pryor of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister Tammy Turner of Mooresville, Indiana and maternal grandmother Dorothy Shipley Day of Columbus, Indiana.
