Laura B. Julian

Laura B. Julian, 82, Logansport, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born October 24, 1925, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Daisy M. Kershner Gunion. On Sept. 1, 1943, in Logansport, she married
James Arthur Julian. He preceded her in death April 9, 1987.
Mrs. Julian was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Julian, Peru, and Terry Julian, Katy, Texas; one sister, Mary Bagwell, Logansport; four grandchildren, Karen Julian, Jeremy Julian, Scott Julian and Diana Julian; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur D. Gunion and Lyman Gunion; and one sister, Edna Gunion.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11th, in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
William F. Llewellyn
August 18, 1926 - March 10, 2008
William F. Llewellyn, 81, Logansport, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Chase Center.
Born August 18, 1926, in Logansport, he was the son of Frederick B. and Mildred Long Llewellyn.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved sports, especially IU basketball and the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed playing euchre.
He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Jann Flora, of Monticello, and Linda Kaplan, of Fort Wayne; and eight nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Private interment will follow in Mount Hope cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Inez E. Julian

Inez E. Julian, 99 of Logansport, IN, died at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Miller's Merry Manor.
Born January 11, 1909 in Idaville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Margaret Shafer Girard. On October 1, 1936, in Logansport, she was married
to John B. Julian. He preceded her in death May 9, 1987.
She was a 1927 graduate of Idaville High School. In 1931, she graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Inez was a 70-year member of the First United Methodist Church. She was active in the New Life Guild and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. An excellent cook, Inez was well-known for the delicious homemade hot rolls she made for the women's annual bazaar. For many years, Inez also served as the treaurer of the United Methodist Women in Cass County.
Since 1928, she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Royal Center. Inez was also a member of the First Mothers Study Club and she had served on the Neal Home Board.
Surviving are Son, Robert W. Julian of Logansport, IN; Daughter, Janet Laudeman and her husband Max, of Syracuse, IN; Granddaughter, Victoria Laudeman of West Lafayette, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Heiny; and two brothers, John and Roy Girard.
Friends will be received 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, March 15th at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
Services will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at noon with her niece, Rev. Opal Reiff, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Hope cemetery, Logansport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
Marilyn Mae Walkup

Marilyn Mae Neal Walkup, 87 years old of Lafayette, IN, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in Home Hospital.
She was born August 25, 1920 in Templeton, IN, daughter of the late Earl Franklin Neal and Ruth Geneva Hickman Neal.
Marilyn married
Wilmer Wesley Walkup on December 24, 1941 at the Ambia Christian Church. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2000.
She resided with her daughter Cathie Yates, since 1973.
She was a bookkeeper for Walkup Construction and a homemaker.
She was a member of Linnwood Church of Christ and Brady Lane Church of Christ. She belonged to the Ladies Friendship Circle, Pioneer Women, Bunco Club and Special Friends Card Club. She enjoyed reading andembroidery.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. Walkup (wife: Ginger) of Lafayette; 3 daughters, Nancy R. Walkup Banks (husband: William) of Battle Ground, Cathie Yates of Lafayette, Marilee Switzer (husband: Patrick) of Battle Ground; and a special daughter Carol Hancock (husband: Richard) of Battleground; 2 sisters, Iris Coleman Howe (husband: William) of Westfield, Cleadith Dumas of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Meredith Maxine Mailloux, Phyllis Farnsworth and a brother, C. Arden Neal.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2008 from 4-8:30 P.M. at the Linnwood Church of Christ on 16th and Greenbush. Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11 A.M. with visitation from 9:30 to 11 A.M., also at Linnwood Church of Christ with Pastor Guy Brown and Pastor Jason Hight officiating. Internment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
Donations may be made to Brady Lane Church of Christ or Linnwood Church of Christ in memory of Marilyn.
Rheta S. (Sue) Hutcheson

Rheta S. Hutcheson, 70 years old, of Battle Ground, IN, died 6:55 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Born October 24, 1937 in Monon, IN, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Mary Boothby Snouwart. She was married
to Courtland Hutcheson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1981.
A homemaker, she enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, reading, sewing and leather making.
Surviving are 3 Daughters, Macey(Tony) Johnson of Colfax, IN, Rose Ann Melton of Rensselaer, IN, and Janet(Allen) Perlot of Rensselaer, IN; 2 Sons, Cole(Heather) Hutcheson of Battle Ground, IN, and Donald(Sue) Hall of Camden, IN; one step-daughter, Teri (Chuck) Swanson, North Carolina; and 8 Grandchildren, Katrina Cook, Kevin Melton, Mellison Hall, Christopher Hall, Seth Swanson, Devin Hutcheson, Court Hutcheson, Adrian Hutcheson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cortland S. Hutcheson and Parents .

Marie Eldora Bray

Marie Eldora Bray, 86, Romney, died at 7:42 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center.
Born November 25, 1921, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Strother and Golda Mills Shumate.
On November 27, 1938, she was married
to Dale Bray, who preceded her in death in 1986.
A homemaker, she also farmed with her husband in the Romney area before retiring.
She is survived by one daughter, Lois (Gary) Eldridge, Duncan, British Columbia, Canada; one brother, Strother (Marietta) Shumate, Lafayette; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, in Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel with Celebrant Patricia Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Romney cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Wanda Suiter
September 02, 1925 - March 30, 2008
Wanda Suiter, 82, Burnettsville, died at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born September 2, 1925, in Momence, Illinois, she was the daughter of Stafford and Ethel Galbreath Coffenberry.
On January 1, 1947, in Burnettsville, she was married
to the late Myron R. Suiter. He preceded her in death November 26, 1982.
A homemaker, she and her husband farmed together in the Burnettsville area. She was a member of the Lockport Church.
Surviving are four sons, Kenny Suiter and his wife Angie, Doug Suiter and his wife Nancy, Dickie Suiter and his wife Cindy, and Dennis Suiter, all of Burnettsville; two daughters, Peg Suiter, and Myra Fitzwater and her husband Mike, all of Burnettsville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Bridge, Louise Hook, and her twin sister Juanita Hickman.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Opal Reiff officiating. Burial will be in Davis cemetery, near Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm. Tuesday and one hour prior to the services Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
Marjorie W. Norzinskay

Marjorie W. Norzinskay, 97, Logansport, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born October 8, 1910, in Lucerne, Indiana, she was the daughter of Choral G. and Laura Douglass Powell. On July 19, 1931, she married
Donald C. Norzinskay, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1991.
Marge and her husband owned and operated Logan Tire from 1946-1998.
A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Marge also served as a volunteer at Logansport Memorial Hospital for many years.
She had a love for traveling and she and her husband, Don, presented many slide presentations of their travels to church groups and friends. They had traveled to more than 40 countries. She also enjoyed cooking and playing euchre, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Doug Norzinskay and his wife, Marilyn, of Logansport; two daughters, Jeannine Aichele and her husband, Dick, of Indianapolis and Carole Penland and her husband, George, of Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Dan Norzinskay and his wife, Beth, of Bloomington, Rick Aichele, Los Angeles, CA, Kristen Aichele-Habart, of Indianapolis, Lauren Aichele, of San Francisco, CA, Brent Penland, Denver, Colorado, and Stacie Penland, of Atlanta, Georgia; and one great-grandchild, Sarah Norzinskay, Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Florence; five brothers, Chester, Lloyd, Earl, Harry and Warren; and one granddaughter, Mary Lou Norzinskay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29th, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Daehler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, where the Trinity Lutheran Church Council will conduct a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Katharina (Katie) Schlund

Katharina "Katie" Schlund, 97, Lafayette, died at 4:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in St. Anthony Healthcare, Lafayette.
Born June 4, 1910, in Germany, she was the daughter of Johan and Gertrude Wagner. In 1932, in Essen, Germany, she was married
to Max Beckstadt. He preceded her in death in 1937.
In 1998, she retired after working several years as a seamstress. She had worked at the Drapery Gallery and Reifers Furniture.
A member of the Catholic Church, Katie was also a member of the German American Club (GBU). She enjoyed sewing, cooking bird-watching and animals. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Sonja Ciampanelli, Lafayette, and Ingrid (husband Don) Butler, Bamberg, Germany; and two sisters, Brigitte Schlund and Reta Hofmann, both of Bamberg, Germany.
Also surviving are five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, in Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel, Lafayette.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, in Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel with Father Bach officiating. Private burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
