Anderson - Helen Lois (Cummings) Johnson, 75, Anderson, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at her residence after following an extended illness..
She was born May 25, 1926, in Bedford, IN, and has lived in Anderson since 1928.
She retired in 1989 from the Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison following 21 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at the Anderson City Utilities from 1956 through 1966.
She was a 1944 graduate of Anderson High School and she was an avid listener of country music.
She is survived by her sister, Winona Fredericks of Anderson; Two brothers, Harold Cummings of Fontana, California and Mel Cummings of Anderson. Several Nieces & Nephews including locally: Thomas Fredericks; Pat Luttrell; Marge Sweeney; Bev Guilkey; Judy Wagoner; Rodney Cummings & Kevin Cummings. Two Grandchildren: Darlene Cummings & Cory Cummings both of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmon Johnson who died Marsh 1973; a brother, Charles Cummings who died 1987; her son: Tony Cummings who died June 28, 2001; and her parents: Estil & Fay Cummings.
Services will be 10:00 AM, at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at at the SOUTH CHAPEL.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Lawrenceville, Georgia - Jennifer Dawn (Lawson) Hastings, 29, Lawrenceville, Georgia died August 6, 2002 at Northside Hospital-Atlanta, Georgia after a courageous 7 year battle with a PNET which runs in the Ewing Sarcoma Cancer Family.
She was born January 17, 1973 in Bunker Hill, Indiana, and resided in Lawrenceville, Georgia. They lived in Florida shortly after being married
, moving to Georgia three years ago.
She was a homemaker and the mother of her female boxer, Daisy.
She graduated in 1991 from Madison Heights High School in Anderson with Honors. She was hoping to become an Oncology RN.
She loved NASCAR and lived for her family. She loved music, especially The Eagles, and movies.
She is survived by her Her loving husband whom she had been with since 8th Grade: Jeff Hastings whom she married

Anderson - Amelia (Drake) Pauli Hunphries, 82, Anderson, died September 8, 2002 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness.
She was born March 2, 1920 in Fairmount, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. She was a resident of this area for 4 years.
She was a former co-owner of "The Junction" in Terre Haute.
She was a 1938 graduate of Alexandria High School.
She was a member of United Methodist Temple in Terre Haute. She was also a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority - Alpha Epsilon Chapter in Indianapolis and a member of Altrusa in Terre Haute.
She is survived by her a daughter, Pam & husband Charlie Gudeman of Bellefonte, PA; A sister, Hilda Hunter of New Castle; a step-son, David & wife Louanne Humphries of Noblesville; three grandchildren Emily Gudeman of San Francisco, CA, Andrew Gudeman of Mechanicsburg, PA and Susan Gudeman of Bellefonte, PA; two step-grandchildren, Robert Humphries and Alexandra Humphries both of Noblesville; numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her first husband whom she married
on September 8, 1946 Herbert C. Pauli Jr. on April 1, 1987, her second husband whom she married
November 17, 1998 James Humphries on August 1, 2000, her son Herbert C. Pauli III on September 8, 1986 and her parents Cecil & Mary Josephine (Gangloff) Drake.
Services will be Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 2:30 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel.

Anderson - Morton H. "Marty" Blake, 65, Anderson celebrated his homecoming after a courageous battle with lymphoma May 2, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana.
He was born March 18, 1938 in New Albany, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana.
He worked for Chester B. Stem, Inc. and Stemwood in New Albany, IN as comptroller and served on the Board of Directors. In 1992, he continued his career as business & office manager for his son, Dr. Jeffrey Blake in Anderson.
He was a member fo the of the National Guard for 6 1/2 yrs.
He was a faithful member of Atwood Wesleyan Church in Louisville, KY, where he served as treasurer and a member of the church board for 15 years, transferring his membership to the 1st Church of the Nazarene after moving to Anderson in 1996. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and landscaping.
He was a loving and faithful husband to his wife of 45 years, Marilyn "Joy" (Weedman) Blake, whom he married
in Louisville, Kentucky; a dedicated & wonderful Dad to his daughter, Robin (husband, Milo) Eldridge of New Albany, IN and his son, Dr. Jeffrey (wife, Jennifer) Blake of Pendleton; a proud & devoted Pappaw to his grandchildren, Benjamin, age 12, Rachel, age 10, & Samuel, age 5, Eldridge of New Albany, IN and Emily, age 10, Amanda, age 8, and Ethan, age 6, Blake of Pendleton, IN. Also surviving are four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Alma & Bill Terry of Louisville, KY, Wilma Nix of DePauw, IN, Don Weedman of Louisville, KY and Jerry & Muriel Weedman of Franklin, NC and a host of special friends.
He was preceded in death by a stillborn brother, William Blake and his parents, Carl & Mary Elizabeth (Roberts) Blake.
Services will be Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM, at 1st Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Gary Cable and Dr. James Storey officiating.
Burial will be in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2003 and Monday, May 5, 2003 from 4-8 PM each day at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 West 53rd Street and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
A Memorial Service will be held in the New Albany, IN area at a later date.

Mr. Jerry Dean Maynard
Mr. Jerry Dean Maynard, 69, of Seymour, passed away suddenly, Friday, October 24th, 2008 at his residence.
Jerry was born in Clear Springs, IN on August 26, 1939, the son of Frank and Dorene (Wagoner) Maynard. On August 26, 1961 in Uniontown he married
Judy (Halbert) Maynard.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jerry retired from Seymour Home Products.
Besides his wife of over 47 years, Jerry is survived by a daughter, Donna (Nelson)Weiss; three sons James 'Jim' (Debbie) Maynard, Steve(Mindy) Maynard, Jerry Michael( Amy) Maynard, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Weiss, Brandon Maynard, Brianne Maynard, Scott Maynard, Cody Maynard, Hali Maynard, and Blake Maynard, one brother, Marvin (Ruth) Maynard, four sisters, Gladys (Jack) Gilbert, Shirley (Darvin) Reynolds, Elizabeth (Victor) Marcott, and Sandra Colvin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carolyn Auffenberg, and a brother Lowell Maynard.
Funeral Services will be held at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, October 28, at 10:30 am with Rev. D. G. Morris officiating.
Burial will be at Riverview cemetery with a Voss Dove Tribute.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM and after 9:30 am on Tuesday until service time.
Memorials may be written to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

She was preceded by her Husband of 71 years: Ronald B.W. Shepherd on March 12, 2002. Parents: William & Bessie (Malone) Nickerson. Brothers & Sisters: Theodore Nickerson, Charles Nickerson, Malone Nickerson, Joseph Nickerson and Martha Spratt.
Services will be Friday, January 3, 2003 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Daniel S. Westlund officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .

She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30+ years of service
She was a member of Lone Oak Wesleyan Church in Anderson. She was known to the neighborhood children as the candy and popsicle lady.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judy & husband, Wilbur Osborn and Donna & husband, Ronald Yeagley, both of Anderson, two sisters, Alice Alexander of Anderson and Helen Keesling of Marion, grandchildren, Mary Jane Honaker & husband, David of Indianapolis, David C.
