Sister: Loyce & husband Charlie Madden. Sister-in-law: Peggy Davidson. Thirty Three Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Roy & Gertrude (Brown) Davidson. Brother: Otis Davidson.
Services will be Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel; 6061 State Road 9 North, Alexandria.
Burial will be in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at funeral home, north chapel.
Betty L. Modesitt
Betty Louise Ison Freeman Modesitt, 87, of Bloomington went to be with her Lord at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Saturday, September 3, 2011.
Born on March 11, 1924 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Max and Leapha (Abram) Ison. Betty attended a one room school called No. 9 in Hendricksville, IN for eight years and then attended four years of high school in Solsberry. In 1943 she began studies at Bloomington Hospital and earned a degree in nursing. She was active in nursing for 50 and a half years before her retirement. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ since 1938, the Health Professions Bureau, and the Indiana Coalition on Donation.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wallace E. Freeman (1986) and Dale W. Modesitt (1995); an infant daughter, Teresa Marie (1949); parents and brother, Robert W. Ison.
Betty is survived by her son, Ronald W. Freeman and wife Ruth Ellen (Hamm) Freeman; three grandchildren, Jason Freeman (Jennifer), Andrea Acuff (Kelcey), and Justin Freeman; four great-grandchildren, Adam and Joshua Freeman and Payton and Taylor Acuff; sister, Norma VanDeventer (Warren); sister-in-law, LaVon Ison and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Liberty cemetery in Hendricksville on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Minister Robert Fenton; and Minister Keevin Gray officiating. Visitation will be at Chandler Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 4-9.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Liberty Church of Christ cemetery Fund 12884 E. MacVille Road Solsberry, IN 47459

Anderson - Harry Preston Pride, 71, Anderson, died March 5, 2005 at VA Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born December 13, 1933 in Whitesville, West Virginia, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area for 50 years.
He retired from Emge Meat Packing Company in Anderson.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was a life member of the VFW Post #266.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Delores (Frame) Pride. Daughter & Son-in-law: Harriet & Jerry Jordan of Anderson. Son & Daughter-in-law: John & Deniece Pride of Zionsville. Sisters: Wanita Newsone of Kentucky, Sarah Roach of West Virginia, Martha Reed of West Virginia and Amy Pritt of West Virginia. Grandchildren: Richie & wife Tammy Rucker, John Pride Jr & wife Antonina Pride, Preston Pride, Sonia Pride and Katina Burdsall. Four Great Grandchildren: Tallinna & Phillip Rucker, Logan and Rilley. Several nieces, nephews and many special friends and family members including Loretta & Fred Smith, David Halstead, Art Hieday, Sonny & Cathy Blalock, George & Grace Schinnerer, Al Walker, Loren Buck and Bev & Ronnie Copeland.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John McKinley & Judy Valley (Halstead) Pride. One Sister
Services will be Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Dr. Sam Muncy officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
Military rites will be by the VFW Post #266.
Arline Wanda Bowman
Arline Wanda Bowman, 96, of Bloomington passed away at Garden Villa Health Care Center on Thursday morning, September 29, 2011.
Wanda was born on August 3, 1915 in Oakley, Indiana to Philip and Nora (Loy) Hemmig. She was a retired real estate broker and realtor and worked for the former Mayor of Lafayette and Mayor of West Lafayette. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Richard) Post of Bloomington; sister, Louise H. Baer of Indianapolis; and brother, R. Brian Hemmig of Chapel Hill, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
A Graveside funeral mass for Wanda will be held at Zion Citizens cemetery in Flora, Indiana on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating.
Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Anna Lorraine (Greene) Purvis
Mrs. Anna Lorraine (Greene) Purvis, 73, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, October 15th, 2008 at Kindred Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
Anna was born in Vevay, Indiana on June 11, 1935, the daughter of James Hines and Eliza Ellen (Phillips) Johnson.
She was married
to Jack Greene who preceded her in death. On April 15, 1978, she married
Jim Purvis, who also preceded.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Anna is survived by her children; Jackie Johnson, Terry (Margaret) Greene, Cathy (Butch) Wheeler, Robin (Jim) Anderson, Angela (Gobel) Banks, Ruth (Clark) Klinkenberg, 5 step children, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, sister; Patricia Walters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, infant brother; Arlan Johnson, and uncle; Samuel John Phillips
Services will be held at Voss Chapel, Seymour, at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 18th, with Rev. Jerry Wheeler officiating.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM until service time.
Burial will be at Riverview cemetery, Seymour, with a Voss Dove Tribute.
Memorials may be written to Riley Children's Hospital.
Mr. James Ray (Jim) Thomas
Mr. James Ray (Jim) Thomas, 41, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, October 15, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis with his family at his side.
Jim was born in Seymour on February 22, 1967 to Jane Marie (Whitton) and Stanley Thomas. On June 10, 1989 he married
Diana Morris in Medora.
He was a 1985 graduate of Medora High School, attended Kentucky Christian College, and obtained a Technical Certificate in heating and air conditioning from Ivy Tech. He was an active member of Seymour Christian Church where he was on the Praise Team and was voted in as a Deacon this year by a unanimous decision. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He was a gentle and kind man who valued all relationships but none more than his role of father to his son and daughter.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, one son; Blake Robert, a daughter; Jenna Marie, and a brother; Larry Thomas. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Robert and Lorene Whitton and his paternal grandfather Harold Thomas.
Funeral Service will be conducted at Seymour Christian Church, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 18th, with Rev. Bill Lockman and Rev. Bill Weaver officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 3 - 8 PM at Seymour Christian Church and Saturday from 9:30 AM to time of service at Seymour Christian Church. .
Burial will follow at Riverview cemetery with a Voss Dove Release.
Memorials may be written to Mrs. Thomas for the children's educational fund.

Middletown - Daniel C. Miller, 73, Middletown, died March 8, 2005 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after a sudden illness.
He was born December 30, 1931 in Markleville, Indiana, and resided in Middletown, Indiana.
He was a former Special Agent for the Department of Justice. Daniel retired from Inland Fisher Guide as a Senior Plant Engineer. He was a journeyman pipfitter.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School.
He was a member of South Anderson United Methodist Church, Middletown Masonic Lodge #271 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Middletown Chapter #143 R.A.M. He was a professional harmonica player, traveled on the road and formed his own trio in the 1950’s. Daniel served on the Shenandoah School Board of Trustees as President and member for seven years.
He is survived by his Wife: Mildred "Millie" (Joslin) Miller of Middletown. Children: Linda Jo Miller, Janalee & husband Mark Bousman, Lisa Lohrey, Daniel C. Miller II & wife Nancy. Stepdaugther: Gina Bronnenberg. Grandchildren: Amanda & husband David Stamper, T.J. & wife Amanda Brantlinger, Kenneth Lohrey, Matthew Lohrey, Austin Miller, Travis Miller and Joslin Bronnenberg. Great Grandchildren: Gavin Stamper & Brooklyn Brantlinger. Sister: Phyllis & husband Dr. Jack Colglazier. Several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde & Adine (Neely) Miller. 1st wife: Catherine Joyce Miller.
Services will be Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. John Hackney officiating.
Burial will be in Miller cemetery, Middletown.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel.
A Masonic Service will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2005.

Anderson - Gregory A. Dietzen, 58, Anderson, died March 4, 2005 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a sudden illness.
He was born August 23, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana all of his life.
He was an attorney in Anderson since 1972.
He was a 1964 graduate of Madison Heights High School, and a graduate of Ball State University in 1969 and Indiana University School of Law in 1972.
He was a member of Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, ACLU, Eagles Lodge, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge #209, White River Watchers Association, Nature Conservatory, Audubon Society and INEX Racing Assocation Legends Division. Greg was an organ donor.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Karrie (Beresford) Dietzen. Three Children: Laura & husband Chris Warner of Newbergh, Indiana. Fredrick Dietzen of Eugene, Oregon. Clark Dietzen of Anderson. One Brother: Mike & wife Diana Dietzen of Anderson. One Sister: Donna Dietzen of Charlotte, North Carolina. Six Grandchildren: Emily Warner, Matthew Warner, Joseph Warner, Charlie Warner, Ryam Dietzen and Arianna Dietzen. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul William "Bill" & Rosemary (Mathews) Dietzen.
Services will be Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Benjamin Santiago officiating with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel.
