Mrs. Janet Elizabeth Gill
Mrs. Janet Elizabeth Gill, 66, of Seymour, IN. passed away at 4:35 am, Sunday, Nov. 2nd, 2008 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
She was born in Indianapolis, IN., February 12, 1942 to Earl Wilson and Dorothy (Rueff) Wilson, Franklin, IN. (Both preceded in death). Janet has lived most of her life in Seymour. On June 2, 1973 she married
J. Stephen (Steve) Gill at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour.
Janet was a loving wife, mother and friend to all she met. She was a member of PSI IOTA XI Sorority, St. Ambrose Catholic Church and enjoyed attending Mass at Our Lady of Providence, Brownstown. She Graduated from Franklin High School, Franklin College and received her Masters of Education from Indiana University. She taught first grade at Jackson Elementary in Seymour for 9 years then chose to leave that profession to be a part-time bookkeeper for her husband and a full time mother to her children. She had many hobbies but most of all she enjoyed reading. She was a fabulous cook and was quite an accomplished seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Steve, who has served as Jackson County Comissioner for the past 20 years, 2-sons: Frederick S. (Fred) Gill, Toby L. Gill and, mother-in-law Doris Gill, Br-in-law: Ted R. Gill, 2-Sisters-in-law: Linda (Richard) Trimpe and Diane (Oscar) Villalvazo, several nieces and nephews, and 2 special friends; her dogs Jenny and Suzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law John H. Gill.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 6, at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 325 South Chestnut St., Seymour, with Father Todd Goodson Officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday 4-8 pm at Voss Chapel and on Thursday after 9:30 am until time of service at St Ambrose Catholic Church.
Mausoleum encryptment will follow at Riverview cemetery with a Voss Dove release.
Memorial checks may be written to Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center or St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Pendleton - Rena M. (Williams) Stewart, 88, Pendleton, died October 14, 2003 at Fall Creek Retirement Village-Pendleton after an extended illness.
She was born July 27, 1915 in Rushville, Indiana, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. She lived in this area since 1941.
She was a homemaker.
She was a graduate of Rushville High School.
She was a member of Pendleton Christian Church.
She is survived by her Two Sons: John & wife Cathie Stewart of Pendleton. Mike & wife Cindy Stewart of Peru. Five Grandchildren: Jeff & wife Donna Stewart of Elliotsville. Jim & wife Candy Stewart of Anderson. Joyce & husband Keary Harris of San Diego, California. Laura Stewart and Greg Stewart, both of Peru. Four Great Grandchildren: Collin Stewart, Cain Harris, Kaytlyn Harris and Kirsten Harris. Three Step Grandchildren and Six Step Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces & Nephews. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Fall Creek Retirement Village in Pendleton.
She was preceded by her Husband whom she married
in 1933: Robert Stewart in 1992. Parents: Charles & Katherine (Routt) Williams.
Services will be Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 11:30 am, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Michael Canada officiating.
Burial will be in Grovelawn cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2003 at funeral home, south chapel.
Contributions may be made to Pendleton Emergency Ambulance or St. John's Hospice.
George E. Berry
George E. Berry was taken by Gods holy light at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the age of 61.
He was born on November 11, 1949 to Lyle L. and Viola M. (Blunk) Berry in Gary, Indiana. George retired on June 30, 2011 as the Assistant Director of Halls Food Service for Indiana University. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. George was a member of the Bloomington VFW Post 604.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Berry; son, G. Matthew (Mellissa) Berry of Bloomington; daughter, Holly (Jeff) Helms of Ellettsville; five sisters, Ellen Gray of Beth Page, TN, Erin Spires (Rick) of Bedford, Fran Peters (Max) of Springville, Millie Pfaff (Wendell) of Spencer, Colleen Childs (Dan) of Bloomington; three brothers, Steve Berry of Solsberry, Dave Berry (Annette) of Oolitic, Ben Berry of Mesquite, TX; and survived by his most precious little people, grandchildren, Mason and Chloe Helms and Nolan Berry and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Clara Fyffe and in laws, Tony and Lois Trenta.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Helms officiating. Military honors will be performed by the Monroe County Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Riley Childrens Hospital; Disabled American Veterans; and the Olcott Cancer Center.
Gloria J. Arroyo
Gloria Joan Arroyo, 62, of Bloomington passed away at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
She was born on July 13, 1949 in Batesville to the late Fred and Althea (Quinlan) Marcum. Gloria worked at D&M Manufacturing in Connersville; Knight Watch Security in Panama City, FL; McCormicks Creek State Park and more recently, Cook, Inc. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, baking, traveling, watching movies, reading, nature, and spending time with family and friends.
Gloria is survived by her brothers, Eugene Marcum and his wife Diana and Ronnie Marcum and his wife Patricia; sisters, Pam McNew and husband Dale, and Bonnie Reveles; ten nieces and nephews, and eight great-nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

Alexandria - Julianne (Palman) Fletcher, 57, Alexandria, died October 17, 2003 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
She was born April 11, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, and resided in Alexandria. She was a resident of this area for 38 years.
She was presently working at the YMCA in Anderson as the Executive Secretary for 5 1/2 years. She was the owner and editor of the Alexandrian from 1983 to 1987 during which time she received 2 Hoosier State Press Awards. She was a freelance writer for the Indianapolis News.
She was a graduate of Knox High School. She attended Ball State University.
She was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Blessed Savior. She helped to establish the E.R.F. Food Pantry in Alexandria. She planned the donation and construction of the Veteran's Memorial Plaza in Beulah Park in Alexandria. She planned and organized Harrison Square Park in Alexandria. She was a member of the Alexandria City Park Board for 3 years, the Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria and was deacon and chairperson of the Property Committee and the Centennial Celebration Committee for the church. She helped to establish the Church Elevator Fund. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid. She made many of the banners that hang in the church using her skills as an accomplished seamstress. She organized and planned the Annual Potato Feast Fundraiser. She was the 1985 Alexandria Business and Professional Woman of the Year and was listed in the Who's Who in American Women.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert "Bob" Fletcher Jr.; two daughters, Susan Fletcher of Bloomington and Stephanie Fletcher & fiance Noel Salazar of Alexandria;a brother, John & wife Patty Palman of LaPorte; a sister, Georgeanne & husband John Ricci of Indianapolis; an aunt, Mary Palman of Paris, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, John Stephen & Alice (Jones) Palman; an uncle, Stephen Palman and her mother & father-in-law, Bruce & Sally Fletcher.
Services will be Monday, October 20, 2003 at 11:00 AM, at Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in Alexandria, with Rev. Fred Hubert and Rev. George Silavs officiating.
Burial will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery-Alexandria.
Visitation will be from 2-6:00 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2003 at North Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, elevator fund; 309 W. Washington Street, Alexandria, IN 46001.
Leland "Bud" Duane Corne
Leland "Bud" Duane Corne, 81, of Seymour, passed away October 21, 2008, at 7:10 PM at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Corne was born in Knox County, IN on July 31, 1927, the son of William L. Corne and Glenna E. (Randall) Corne Rogers.
On June 21st, 1947 he married
Wanda Smith in Freelandville, IN. She survives in Dudleytown.
He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown. Mr. Corne retired as General Plant Manager from Indiana Telephone Company in 1979 after many years of service.
Besides his wife Bud is survived by his children; Jon ( Vicki) Corne, Nancy (Clifton) Tatum, grandchildren; Tracy (Ken) Haley, Joseph Leland Corne Busenbark, Caroline Jean Corne Busenbark, Nikki Corne, Jeremy Corne, Justin Corne, Jordyn (DJ) Henkle, Jaryn Corne, Jacob Corne, Alex (Vickie) Trimpe, Spencer Heyne, Tom Tatum, Jennifer (Kyle) Brown, Angela (Chris) Leder, Travis (Lesley) Berkey, great grandchildren; Haley Corne, Tyler Corne, Dusty Staggs, Cassidy and Keegan Haley, Kenzi Jo Henkle, Ava Voyles, Rylan Burrell, Colin and Madison Brown, Keaton and Carson Leder, Tyler, Gracie, and Evan Berkey, sisters; Doris (Robert) Johnson, Frances Hancher, Virginia Bogle, as well as several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons; Jeffrey Duane Corne, Joseph Dale "Joe" Corne, brothers; Art, Roscoe, Edgar and Virgil Corne, granddaughter; Amanda Burrell, and great granddaughter; Adalyn Trimpe.
Funeral service will be held at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown on Saturday, October 25, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Scott Kozisek and Rev. Edgar Keinath officiating. Pall bearers will be Tom Tatum, Kyle Brown, Justin and Jacob Corne, Alex Trimpe, Spencer Heyne, DJ Henkle, and Jeremy Corne, honorary pall bearers, Norman Goecker, Ronnie Wehrkamp.
Burial will be at the Emanuel Lutheran cemetery, Dudleytown, with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, DAV 47 and Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM and at the Emanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of service.
Memorials may be written to the Emanuel Lutheran Tuition Fund, Crosslife Ministries or Trinity Lutheran High School.

Anderson - Lucile E. (Ellsworth) Railsback, 96, Anderson, died October 17, 2003 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson.
She was born June 29, 1907 in Oaklandon, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
She retired from Anderson Community School Corporation in 1963 as a high school teacher after 23 years.
She was a 1925 graduate of Pendleton High School and a 1929 graduate of Indiana University.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anderson, the Indiana University Alumni, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Tri Kappa Sorority and was a former member of American Association University Women.
She is survived by her niece, Jean Hummerickhouse Stannard of Ft. Wayne; several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Railsback on March 18, 1990; her parents, Irvin & Ada (Apple) Ellsworth; three sisters, Vennis Humerickhouse, Bennett Smith and Frances Ellsworth and three nephews, Ralph Humerickhouse, Dr. Victor W. Smith and Robert C. "Bob" White.
Services will be Monday, October 20, 2003 at 10:00 AM, at East Maplewood cemetery-Mausoleum, with Dr. Robert Jackson officiating.
Entombment will be in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson.
There will be no visitation.

He was born September 21, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Daleville, Indiana. He lived in Anderson all of his life.
He retired from Delco Remy/Delphi after 36 years of service.
He was a 1962 graduate of Anderson High School.
He served his country in the National Guard for 6 years.
He was a member of the Middletown American Legion Post #216 and the UAW Local #662.
He is survived by his Wife of 38 years: Linda (Love) Holsinger. Son: Rodney & wife Shelly Holsinger of Anderson. Daughter: Amy & husband Scott Benner of Kokomo. Five Grandchildren: Alex Holsinger, Macey Holsinger, Britney Benner, Brooke Benner and Chase Benner. Sister: Joyce & husband Jeff McDaniel of Indianapolis. Stepmother: Phyllis Holsinger of Alexandria. Two Nephews: Todd Moody and Matt Moody. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
