Terry D. Sare
Terry D. Sare, 62, of Bloomington died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital.
He was born on July 11, 1949 in Bloomington into the home of the late Donald and Betty R. (Prince) Sare. Terry was a 1969 graduate at Bloomington High School and studied at the Pasadena Playhouse. He worked at the Kinsey Institute Library at Indiana University.
Terry is survived by his siblings, William C. Sare (Patty), Kim Sare, and Sally Sare (Cynthia Hogan) all of Bloomington; nieces, Dawn Nolting (Scott) of Bloomington and Stephanie Sare of CO.; great-nephew, CJ Nolting and great-niece, Bryn Nolting.
An informal gathering to celebrate Terrys life will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Baker officiating. Jesse Ray Burton
The family of Jesse Ray Burton mourns his passing. Born December 16, 1926 at Indianapolis, Indiana, to Calvin Burton and Claudine Bowers Burton. Entered into rest December 27, 2007 at home surrounded by family.
His memory will be cherished by children, Darlene Swaby, Shannon Pearson, Cyla Jewart, Jessie Shields, Aaron, Brian, Clay, Neal, Keith Burton; sisters, Charlotte Tolen, Marge Kemp.
His faith will be carried on by 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; beloved wife, Betty Jean McDowell Burton; son, Loren Burton
Jesse served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and employed with Link-belt of Indianapolis. The family moved to Bloomfield in 1961. Jesse was the last Captain of the Farmers Ferry that crossed White River north of Worthington. It had operated continuously from 1856 until 1989.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday December 21, 2007 at Concord General Baptist Church of Calvertville, Pastor Galen Judy officiating.
Rosalinda “Roz” Eileen Patton
The family of Rosalinda “Roz” Eileen Patton mourns her passing. Born March 29, 1958 at Aurora Illinois to Clifford Young and Claire Mae (Bare) Young. Entered into rest December 14, 2007 at home, in the loving care of her husband.
Her memory will be cherished by husband, Ron Patton; children, April Billings, Michael Billings, Michael Patton, Tracy Patton, Stephen Patton.
She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents. Roz was a Machine Operator with Sunrise Publications of Bloomington and they have established a Memorial Fund in her name; donations may be made through any Peoples State Bank Branch.
Funeral services for the family are private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Bloomington Cremation Society entrusted with arrangements.
David Ray Drake
December 20 1967 – December 13 2007
David Ray Drake, age 39, of Bloomington, died Thursday at his residence. Born December 20, 1967, in Monroe County, He was the son of Ancil D. Drake and Norma Jean Drake (Grubb).
He is survived by his long time companion Ronnie Boler of Bloomington, four sisters, Diana Evans, Kathy Kristoff, Susan Drake all of Bloomington and Joyce Shipley of Texas, and 1 brother Ancil D. Drake Jr. of Bloomington and eleven nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death both his parents.
George Allen Thompson
George Allen Thompson, beloved father, grandfather, and generous friend, left this world on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at his Bloomington home surrounded by loving family.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Fields, her husband Rick and their children Ezrick, Saulomon and Myra; Beth Rosales, her husband Roberto, and their children, MaryBeth and Victoria. Also survived by his father George Allen Thompson; brother, Gary Thompson, and other relatives in his home state of Pennsylvania.
George was employed by Indiana University and enjoyed his garden. A memorial service to celebrate his life wil be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Garton Hall, Saint Mark's United Methodist Church, 100 N State Road 46 Bypass, Bloomington. Bequests in memory of George can be directed to Hospice of Bloomington Hospital.
Walter Burton Cassidy
The family of Walter Burton Cassidy mourns his passing. Born April 26, 1934 at Victor, Indiana to Howard Cassidy and Vivian Whitaker Cassidy. Entered into rest December 3, 2007 at home surrounded by loving family.
His memory will be cherished by wife of 53 years, Carolyn Funk Cassidy; children, Gary Cassidy, Brian Cassidy of Bloomington, Randall Cassidy of Bedford; siblings, Robert, Larry, Jerry, Ronnie Cassidy, Betty Jo Fitzgerald, all of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jameson Ray Cassidy, Kathryn Mae Cassidy, of Bloomington; 11 nieces and nephews.
Walter served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War, and was a career Draftsman in the local Limestone Industry. He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; brother, Donnie Cassidy.
Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at United Pentecostal Church of Highland Village, 515 South Curry Pike, Bloomington, with Pastor Andrew King officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will take place Friday December 7, 2007 at the family plot of Valhalla Memory Gardens. A committal service will commence 2:00 p.m. in the Valhalla Mausoleum Chapel.
Samuel Ottis Noel
The family of Samuel Ottis Noel mourns his passing. Born June 5, 1960 at Linton to Pastor Marion Noel and Oneta Luiza Crites Noel. Entered into rest December 1, 2007 at his Bloomington home.
His memory will be cherished by parents, Pastor Marion and Oneta Noel; siblings, Mark Noel, Trudy (Jeff) Skidmore, Deborah (Dennis) Harshman-Noel.
Funeral service for Sam will be 11:00 a.m. Friday December 7, 2007 at Concord General Baptist Church of Calvertville, with Pastor Gaylan Judy officiating. Friends may call on the family one hour before the service at the church. Interment to follow in the family plot of Calvertville cemetery.
Edwin Phillip Adkins
The family of Edwin Phillip Adkins mourns his passing. Born June 11, 1923 at Liberty, Kentucky to Flim Adkins and Sarah Jane Sidebottom Adkins. Entered into rest December 1, 2007 at Park North Nursing Home, Evansville, Indiana.
His memory will be cherished by children, Michael Adkins of Louisville, KY, Eddie Mathew Adkins of Georgia, Roger Dale Adkins of Spencer, IN, Teresa Rennirt of Louisville, KY, Martha Brown of Evansville, IN, Joann Hart of Martinsville, IN, Loretta Myers of Martinsville, IN; 18 grandchildren.
He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents, children, Eddie Morris Adkins, Johnny Adkins. Edwin served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II.
Services for the family are private. Inurnment will take place in the National cemetery at a later date.
David Shawn Kaspar
On November 28, 2007 David Shawn Kaspar passed from this world to wait in peaceful slumber for the day Jesus returns for him. David’s heart was always filled with love for his family, his friends, and love for all people. He made quick friends with all he knew and always had a hug ready for anyone who needed one. David’s family deeply mourns his loss.
David is remembered by his parents, Kenneth and Carol Kaspar and four sisters Elizabeth Edwards, Lyn Huntington, Laura Kaspar, and Katherine Castelluccio. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews with whom he played many games: Kate-Lyn Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Karen Edwards, Kyle Edwards, Erica Huntington, Daniel Huntington, Kendra Kaspar-Roesel, Nicolas Castelluccio, and Jacob New.
Funeral Service for David will be conducted 8:00 p.m. Sunday December 2, 2007 at Bloomington Seventh Day Adventist Church, 301 East SR 45/46 Bypass. Senior Elder Gary M. Ruba officiating. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday December 3, 2007 in the family plot of Valhalla Memory Gardens.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 4, 2007 at First Christian Church, 205 East Kirkwood Ave., Bloomington, with Reverend Emerson officiating.
George Henry Runyon
The family of George Henry Runyon mourns his passing. Born November 4, 1926 at Bloomington, Indiana, to Everett Runyon and Exip Appalomia Runyon. Entered into rest November 28, 2007 at Garden Villa of Bloomington.
His memory will be cherished by children, Judy Hart, Debbie Walters, Leova Stenson, Charles Runyon; siblings, Richard Runyon, Ruby Runyon; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Chapel of Memorial Park East cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Interment will take place following the service in the family plot of Memorial Park cemetery, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis.
James E. Witt
The family of James E. Witt mourns his passing. Born July 24, 1931 at Roachdale, Indiana to Johnie Delane Witt and Daisy Inez (Bell) Witt. Entered into rest November 19, 2007 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center of Indianapolis.
His memory will be cherished by children, Gandy Paris, Hank (Debbie) Witt, of Poland; Kristi Endo, of Greencastle; Lana O’Neal, Coatesville; sisters, Edna (Bob) Walton, of Coatesville; Evelyn (Bill) Hubbard, of Stilesville.
His faith will be carried on by 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; brothers, William, Harold, Buford Witt; son-in-law Albert O’Neal; 3 great-grandchildren.
James served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean War, was a skilled electrician and maintained memberships in the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and American Legion.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday November 27, 2007 at Brick Chapel Church, Greencastle. Interment will follow in the family plot of Coatsville cemetery.
Mona Marie Hammond
The family of Mona Marie Hammond mourns her passing. Born January 23, 1960 at Spencer to Don Clevenger and Betty Thacker Clevenger. Entered into rest November 6, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital surrounded by family.

Funeral service will be conducted graveside, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the family plot of White Oak cemetery with Pastor John Lee officiating. Visitation will be at the cemetery prior to the service.
Earl Edward Matlock
