Jack Streeval

Jack Streeval, 69, of Columbus died at 7:18 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Streeval was a well-known mechanic and had worked at several auto dealerships in Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard, loved fishing and hunting and was an avid NASCAR race fan.
Born in Indianapolis Nov. 6, 1937, Mr. Streeval was the son of Orville and Mary Baxter Streeval. He married
Patty Ricketts Jan. 26, 1968.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Debbie (Gary) Davis and Rita (Bill) Wehmeier, both of Columbus, and April Streeval of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Gena (Randy) Petro, Ricky Wilson, Johnny, Chad and Travis Davis and Blake and Macy Wehmeier; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Halee Petro and Brittany Wilson; a brother, Ronald Dean (Pam) Streeval of Edinburgh; and sisters, Georgianna Morrison of Columbus and Sonji Rogers of Springfield, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Streeval.
VISITATION: Thursday; March 15, 2007 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also Friday; March 16, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
FUNERAL: Friday; March 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Teater officiating.

Doris R. Wilson
July 07, 1955 - January 24, 2009
Doris Rose Wilson, 53, of E. Dudley Avenue, Indianapolis, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, in Columbus, Indiana.
Doris Rose Wilson quietly left this earth with her loving family holding one hand and the Lord grasping the other to lead her home.
She will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Doris was born July 7, 1955 in Columbus and attended grade school and North High School in Columbus. She attended Grace Baptist Church.
After meeting the “love of her life, ” Lewis Mack Wilson, they married
, loved and worked in Indianapolis, maintaining and refurbishing homes there.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Frank McGuire.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Mack Wilson; mother, Vivian McGuire Walls and stepfather, Ken Walls; three sisters, Teresa Clarkson of Columbus, Indiana, Rene (Richard) Hamilton of Columbus, Indiana and Terri (Shannon) Lackey of Columbus, Indiana; a brother, Shawn (Sherry) McGuire of Columbus, Indiana; two sons, David (Michelle) Waggoner of North Vernon, Indiana and Derek Waggoner of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Vicki (John) Ent of Seymour, Indiana and Chanda (Kevin) Hackman of Seymour, Indiana; and grandchildren, Brandon and Cassie Norman, David Waggoner Jr., Devin, Tyler and Shaylee Ent and Jeremiah and Jalen Hackman; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Monday, January 26, 2009 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also Tuesday from noon until the time of service.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating.

Glen J. Ault
June 06, 1934 - January 29, 2009
Glen J. Ault, 74, of Riverside Court died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born June 6, 1934 in Bartholomew County, Mr. Ault was the son of Roy A. and Lizzie Guthrie Ault. He married
Carletta Emmert Dec. 18, 1953, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1957 until 1958. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Ault retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1996. After his retirement he worked part-time at Brands Lumber. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major from the Indiana National Guard after 30 plus years. He received many medals, including the Army Commendation Medal. He was recalled in 1991 during Desert Storm to be Family Service Coordinator at Camp Atterbury.
Mr. Ault was a member of the Edinburgh American Legion, Edinburgh Masonic Lodge #100, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Murat Temple, Bartholomew County Shrine Club and the Hoosier Mustang Club. His hobbies included woodworking, motorcycles and he was a classic car enthusiast.
Survivors icnlude his wife; a daughter, Cynthia Foley of Columbus; a brother, Earl (Anna) Ault of Columbus; grandchidlren, Melodi (Michael) Davis of Columbus, Christopher Ault of Greenwood, Shayne Ault of Tennessee and Matthew, Scott and Cathryn Ault, all of California and three great-granddaughters..
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, G. Douglas Ault and sisters, Betty Ault and Mae Barriger.
VISITATION: Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also Monday, February 2, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2009 at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home.

Jessie Pauline Riddle

Jessie Pauline Riddle, 89, of Nashville, Ind., died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Brown County Health Living Community.
Jesse was previously employed at Cummins Engine Company while her husband Martin was in the service during World War II. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, camping, fishing, crocheting and she loved going to church. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Riddle was born November 16, 1918, in Shelby County, Ind., the daughter of W.B. and Elsie Mae Palmer Davisson. She married
Martin N. Riddle September 4, 1937.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean A. (William III) Robbins of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Lisa Kay Carr, Olivia (Christian) Sutherland, Andrew Riddle, Cheryl (Doug) Weddle and John (Traci) Robbins; great-grandchildren, Dalton K. Gassaway, Demi N. Gassaway, Addicus Sutherland, Eric Carr, Brennen Carr, Catana Robbins and Taryn Strahl; a brother, Lewis (Donna) Davisson of North Vernon, Ind.; sisters, Lucille Bowyer of Florida, Dorothy Bowyer of Ohio and Betty (Bob) Leonard of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 25, 2006; a son, Bruce A. Riddle; a grandson, Brian Robbins; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Sutherland; a brother, Rev. Robert Davisson; and a sister, Alberta Bird.
FUNERAL: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Solomon officiating.
VISITATION: 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

Harold W. Cheek

Harold W. Cheek, 72, of Milroy, formerly of Columbus, died at 7 a.m. at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Cheek retired from Columbus City Garage, September 10, 1999 after 20 years of employment.
He was born March 13, 1934 in Frankfort, Kentucky, the son of Leanord Cheek and Lorene Gile Latham.
Mr. Cheek is survived by sons, Bobby (Connie) Manning of Columbus and Josh Cheek of Russell Springs, KY; daughters, Donna (Charles) Ernstes of Milroy, Darla Cheek of Brownstown, Tammy and Elizabeth Cheek both of Franklin, and Robin (Dale) Everhart of Paris Crossing; a brother Kenny Cheek of KY; a sister Sue Klein of KY; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harold Cheek Jr.; one brother and one sister.
VISITATION: Thursday January 11, 2007 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also Friday one hour prior to the funeral service.

Richard "Rich" Brown
December 15, 1969 - July 27, 2010
Richard “Rich” Brown, 40, of Franklin, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Brown graduated from Columbus East High School then served six years in the Navy aboard the USS Constellation. He was part owner of Abigail’s Restaurant for several years, was a member of Parkside Baptist Church and loved horses, sports, spending time with his family and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Born in Columbus Dec. 15, 1969, Mr. Brown was the son of Prentice and Linda Adams Brown. He married
Sheri Hundley Nov. 17, 1995.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, of Edinburgh; a brother, Dale (Valerie) Brown of Columbus; a sister, Shelly (Randy) Patton of Centerville, Ohio; grandmother, Mary Brown of Columbus; and nieces and nephews, Ashley, Paige, Rachel and Joe Patton and Brittany Brown.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Parkside Baptist Church with Dr. William Bailey officiating.
CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist cemetery.

Mary Frances Galbraith

Mary Frances Galbraith, 81, of Columbus died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at Lakeview Nursing Home in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Galbraith and her husband Robert owned a local business for 20 years. After retiring, she was an active community volunteer.
Born in Sparta, Tenn., Jan. 31, 1928, Mrs. Galbraith was the daughter of James Monroe Rhea and Erma Bumbalough Rhea. She married
Elmer G. Leas Jr., who preceded her in death in June 1971, and Robert L. Galbraith, who preceded her in death in December 1998.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Kathy) Galbraith of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Ramona (Bill) Osborn and Laura Mary Moody, both of Indianapolis; a sister, Lee Ella Shoultz of Columbus; and grandchildren, Shawnessy Ann Osborn, Cody James Galbraith, Kassidy Layne Galbraith and Phoebe Alexandria Galbraith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and a sister, Dorothy Mae Plumlee.
FUNERAL: A private family service is planned with the Rev. Dennis Aud officiating.
VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

Gary K. "Bud" Gill

Gary K. "Bud" Gill, 73, of Yellowwood Drive died Friday, September 28, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Gill is survived by a son, Gary L. Gill of Greenwood; a brother, David S. Gill of Columbus; Sisters, Rita Hall and Lola Isley both of Columbus, and Becky Schaefer of Morrison, Colo.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
