She was a homemaker most of her life. She graduated from Plainfield High School and was a member of the Ben Davis Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin William Bain whom she married
June 14, 1941.
Survivors include daughter Portia B. Wright of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandson Jason Andrew of Indianapolis, Indiana; great-grandchildren Natalie & Carson Wright of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brandon Edward Starker, age 16 of Indianapolis, Indiana, died September 21, 2003 at Wishard Memorial Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born April 25, 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was a sophomore at Southport High School and enjoyed all sports.
Survivors include mother Kitty Joan Gregory Whipkey of Indianapolis, Indiana; father Edward Lee Starker, Jr. of Daytona, Florida; sister Cheyenne Lyn-Jonez Starker of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandparents Gussie I. Bohannon Parrish of Indianapolis, Indiana; Edward Lee & Shirley Starker, Sr. of Daytona, Florida; great-grandmother Marjorie Marie Sawyer Gregory of Mooresville, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.

Hubert Lee Edwards, age 85 of Mooresville, Indiana, died September 20, 2003 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born December 3, 1917 in Sandborn, Indiana to the late Albert & Lola May Lee Edwards.
He was a 50 year member of both the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78 and the Mooresville Order of the Eastern Star #260. He retired in 1981 after 30 years as a Manager for Kroger Grocery Store, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ray Dale Edwards and sister Eva Marie Edwards.
Survivors include wife Mary Esther Park Edwards of Mooresville, Indiana (Married August 25, 1940); sons Robert Dean Edwards of Cor D'Leone, Idaho and James Alan Edwards of Breckenridge, Colorado; daughter Judy Kay McClain of Indianapolis, Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

May Laverne Davis Johnson, age 81 of Mooresville, Indiana, died October 4, 2003 in Westpark Healthcare Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born June 6, 1922 in Danville, Indiana to the late John L. & Jenny M. Feamester Davis.
She was a housekeeper several years at Kendrick Memorial Hospital, Mooresville, Indiana. She was the widow of Samuel Earl Johnson whom she married
April 22, 1940 and who died October 9, 1977.
Survivors include sons Samuel E. Johnson, Jr. of Kissimmee, Florida, Thomas E. Johnson of Martinsville, Indiana, Carl E. Johnson of Cloverdale, Indiana and Richard L. Johnson of Sacramento, California; daughters Linda M. Poynter of Mooresville, Indiana, E. Ruth Jackson of Linton, Indiana, Sandra L. Brown of Mason, Wisconsin and Geraldine Burnette of Mooresville, Indiana, brothers Otis Davis of Grand Island, Nebraska and John L. Davis, Jr. of Texas; 26 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great-grandsons.
Graveside services and burial 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003 in Mooresville cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. Rev. Larry Floyd will officiate. Memorial Contribtuions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
Delbert Casey Huff

Delbert Casey Huff, age 92 of Indianapolis, Indiana, died November 10, 2003 in Richard Roudebush Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born July 30, 1911 in Casey County, Kentucky to the late Charley & Lizzie Harris Huff.
He was a tower operator for Penn Central Railroad for 30 years retiring in 1976. he attended Marwood Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was honorably discharged from the Army. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Crystal Sims Huff; sons Billie & Franklin Huff and brothers Chester & Leo Huff.
Survivors include wife Vivian Wethi D. Huff (Married December 9, 1978) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sons Paul & Charley Huff of Martinsville, Indiana; daughter Cathy Honeycutt of Martinsville, Indiana; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Norman Eugene Whitney, D.O.

Norman Eugene Whitney, D.O., age 75 of Mooresville, Indiana, died November 10, 2003 at his home of natural causes. He was born March 20, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ruhl & Helen Byers Whitney.
He graduated in 1961 from the Kansas School of Osteopathy, helping to pay his school expenses by working as a brakeman for the B&O; Railroad. He began his medical practice in Mooresville, Indiana in 1963 and retired in 2002. Prior to attending medical school, and after obtaining his degree in Pharmacy, he worked as a pharmacist in Lima, Ohio. During his lifetime he served in many capacities including Morgan County Coroner, president of the School Board of the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation, Chief of Staff of Morgan County Hospital, Reserve Morgan County Sheriff Deputy, Morgan County Jail Physician, Physician for the Department of Corrections Diagnostic Center, Plainfield, Indiana, and Chief of the Mooresville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle having toured most of the United States and Mexico. He also enjoyed riding snowmobiles, piloting his private plane, and was a train enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife Nelda Ann Evans Whitney (Married December 10, 1988) of Mooresville, Indiana; son Paul R. Whitney of Bremerton, Washington, daughter Rebecca A. Whitney of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers Lynn Whitney of Littleton, Colorado and David Whitney of Homewood, Illinois; sister Joyce Hughes of Toronto, Canada; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Gathering will be Thursday, November 13, 2003 from 3-8 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Morgan County to establish a scholarship in his name to benefit students pursuing a career in medicine.

She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1999. She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Gloria Jean Davis. She was currently working as a Medical Assistant for the Care Group at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana for the last 3 years.
Survivors include parents John Lacher, Jr. & Tracie L. Fields Lacher of Martinsville, Indiana; brother Michael Ryan Davis of Martinsville, Indiana; boyfriend DJ Payne of Brooklyn, Indiana; step-grandparents John and Cyndee (Vanfossen) Lacher of Indianapolis, Indiana; maternal grandparents Jill (Schmalfeldt) & Greg Olar of Brownsburg, Indiana and Larry & Tina Fields of Michigan and paternal grandfather Frank Davis of Brownsburg, Indiana.

Eva M. Ewing Crusenberry, age 84 of Mooresville, Indiana, died March 4, 2004 in Mooresville, Indiana. She was born December 18, 1919 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Creed & Regina Cooper Ewing.
She retired in 1980 after 13 years as a brick maker for General Shale, Brooklyn, Indiana. She was the widow of Clifford Marshall Crusenberry, Sr. whom she married
march 17, 1938 and who died September 10, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a son Ricky A. Crusenberry.
Survivors include her sons Clifford M. "Bud" Crusenberry, Jr. and Eno M. C. Crusenberry of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Tincie L. Payne, Shirley R. Trusty and L. Beatrice Beard of Mooresville, Indiana and Veda N. Ely of Pennington Gap, Virginia; brothers Troy, Ben & Lacy Ewing of Pennington Gap, Virginia; sisters Carlie, Daphene & Melba Ewing of Pennington Gap, Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence McIntire and her daughter Betty Jane McIntire.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
