Kenneth Eugene Likens, of Gosport and former resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2008 at Gosport Nursing Home. He was 75 years old. The Rev. Dale Landis will conduct a celebration of life service at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Fruitdale Fire Department, 5200 North State Road 135 in Brown County. Mary Belle Payne, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Park Terrace Facility in Louisville. Mrs. Payne had moved to Louisville in 2004 after spending most all her life in Morgan County. A celebration of life service was held Monday, October 6 at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. She was laid to rest in Friendship Park cemetery in Paragon.
