HOWARD ELLIS BERRY, 85, passed away September 29, 2010, at his residence. He was a Navy WWII Veteran and an Iron Worker for Union #70 located in Louisville, Kentucky.

THOMAS E. COX, SR., 80, passed away Monday September 27, 2010 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a boiler operator for the old Harshaw Chemical Company, and the new Englehart Chemical Company in Louisville. Thomas is a Mason, a member of the Northside Christian Church, and a member of the Boilermaker Union Local #40.

BETTY BILLINGSLY, 78, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010, at Hampton Oaks Nursing Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a Homemaker, a lifetime member and past President of American Legion Post 204 Auxillary, and also a member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, George Billingsly, and a son, Kim Billingsly.

JONELL H. MILLS, 69, entered eternal life Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Walgreens, was a member of Safe Harbor Community Church, loved Bingo, playing cards, and enjoyed traveling. Jonell was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Darlene Hutchens, a son, Troy Mills, a daughter, Trella Mills, and a brother, Nevin Martin.

MABEL LOUISE THARP
MABEL LOUISE THARP, 83, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Scott Villa in Scottsburg, Indiana. She worked in Human Resources at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, was a 46 year member of Blue Lick Christian Church and served as Sunday School Teacher for the Women’s Class for 19 of those years. Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Owen Stout Tharp.

EVERETT L. ALLEN, 89, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was a Navy WWII Veteran, a member of St. Joe Hill Catholic Church and was employed by Colgate where he served seventeen years in the Security Department.

MARTHA E. DIEFENBACH MEYER, 87, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany. She was the Director of Clark County Silver Creek Trustees Office for many years, a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Democratic Club, Sellersburg Parks, and St. Paul Bible Class.

JERRY W. HOWELL, 72, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was a Broker for Crestline Realty Company, owner of Howell Transportation and attended Willey’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Jerry is preceded in death by his wife: Denita Howell, sisters: Dimple Howell, Ramona Goff and Marlene Muffet, brother: Roy Howell.

CHARLES WILLIAM McCORY, 101, passed this earthly life into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, November 22. He was born
December 12, 1908 to Bella Long McCory and Charles McCory in New Albany.
He was a member of the Hamburg Church of Christ, Sellersburg; a 50 year member and Past Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge, Buckner 631, Sellersburg; the Scottish Rite Club of Indianapolis; the Murat Shrine Club; past Worthy Patron – Eastern Star # 433; past Associate Guardian – Job’s Daughters, Bethel 73, Sellersburg; and past President of the Sunny Side Lion’s Club. He retired from Atlantic Richfield and the Sellersburg Water Company after many years of service.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gretta McCammon McCory, His daughter, Charlene Pennington, his parents, a sister, Maurine Hayes, and a brother, Robert McCory.

DONALD DUNCAN RUDDELL
DONALD DUNCAN RUDDELL, 80 years old, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Green Valley Care Center, New Albany. He founded the Gospel Tabernacle Church in 1956 and served as its Minister until his death, also served his country in the US Army until his separation in 1951.
