Kymberly K. Shortridge
November 17, 1965 - November 02, 2010
Kymberly K. (Doerflein) Shortridge
On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, Kymberly Kristin Shortridge drifted away to touch the face of God and into the waiting arms of her beloved Dad, Walter Doerflein, and her Grandma Rie.
Kym married
her high school sweetheart, Craig, and together they have a son, Spencer, age 11. They survive in Avilla. Also surviving are her mother, Colleen Doerflein, and two sisters Stephanie Doerflein and Jennifer (Gary) Hines all of Fort Wayne, and neices and nephews, Jesse, Jordan, Sarah, Noah, John, Savannah, Nicki, Carrie, and Chad.
Kym wasted none of her 44 years. She graduated from Snider High School, became a registered nurse, and a Certified Diabetic Clinician, but the career she loved most was being wife to Craig and mom to Spencer. She loved being the “room mom” at Spencer's school.
Pets were always a part of her life. She leaves behind to grieve her two cats, horses, Dixie and Butterscotch, and dogs, a Papion named Missy, and a Golden Retriever named Buttercup, a Paws to Read dog who wore a bright scarf and went with Kym to the library.
Kym will always and forever be a beautiful irreplaceable interlude in our lives. We love you, Kym.
