CASEY, Ill. -- Rosetta "Rose" Losoya, 79, of Charleston died at 11:23 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Birchwood Nursing Home in Casey.

She was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Ashmore to John W. Golladay and Estella Sweitzer Golladay.

Survivors include one daughter, Monica S. Russell; two brothers, Dale Golladay and Robert Golladay; two sisters, Maxine Barbee and Emmaline Lindsey; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Markwell Chapel in Westfield, with the Rev. Joe Grozik officiating.

Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Sarah Elizabeth Criss Denny Orvold
LINTON -- Sarah Elizabeth Criss Denny Orvold, 68, of Linton died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in her residence.

She was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Springfield, Ill., to John Criss and Isabella Sinders Criss.

Her first husband, Robert Denny Sr.; and her second husband, Laverne Orvold, both died earlier.

Survivors include three daughters, Bobby Denny Morrissey, Peggy Denny Bedwell and Karen Denny Dyer; one son, Robert Denny Jr.; one sister, Emma Denny; and two brothers, Chuck Criss and Harry Criss. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery.

There is no visitation.

McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville assisted with arrangements.

Willard Lloyd Padgett
WORTHINGTON -- Willard Lloyd Padgett, 80, of Worthington died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Lyons Health & Living Center.

He was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Owen County to Lloyd Padgett and Etta Hubble Padgett.

Survivors include his wife, Chloe Royer Padgett; three sisters, Marcella Jones, Louise Frump and Carole Hostetler; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Welch & Cornett Worthington Chapel, with Brothers Wayne and Gerald Frump officiating.

Burial is in Worthington Cemetery.

Visitation is 9 a.m. until services Friday.

Richard Adam Ramey
DENNISON, Ill. -- Richard Adam Ramey, 22, of Dennison died at 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

He was born March 4, 1978, in Terre Haute to Richard Ramey and Janet Miller Ramey.

Survivors include his parents of Dennison; one brother, Ryan Ramey of Marshall; paternal grandmother, Margaret Ramey of Dennison, maternal grandmother, Doyne Miller of Dennison; four uncles, Don Miller, of West Terre Haute, Charles Andy Miller and Scott Miller, both of Marshall and Mike Ramey of Dennison; two aunts, Joyce Mott of Marshall and Nancy Ramey of Terre Haute; several cousins; and several friends.

He was a graduate of Marshall High School and was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church of West Terre Haute.

He received his black belt from the American Taekwondo Association in 1989.

Services are 2 p.m. today in Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, with Brothers Don Broeker and Robert Thrift officiating.

Burial is in Dunlap Cemetery in Dennison.

Visitation is noon until services.

Henry E. Snyder
SULLIVAN -- Henry E. Snyder, 82, of Sullivan died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in his residence.

He was born June 28, 1918, in East Glenn to Clifford L. Snyder and Frances Steadman Snyder.

His wife, Margaret Owens Snyder, died in 1982.

Survivors include one son, Gary E. Snyder; one brother, Raymond Snyder; and nieces and nephews.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in Banks & Brust Funeral Home, with Orland Stanley officiating.

Burial is in Woodward Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Virginia 'Scottie' Swartz
ROBINSON, Ill. -- Virginia "Scottie" Swartz, 85, of Robinson died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center.

She was born July 24, 1915, in Bell Isle, N.Y., to George W. Scott and Leora Coe Scott.

Survivors include one daughter, Leora Vallender; one son, Mark Swartz; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Goodwine Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Barnett officiating.

Burial is in Robinson New Cemetery.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.

Robert Lee Swick
ROSEDALE -- Robert Lee Swick, 69, of Rosedale died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, in Rosedale.

He was a farmer.

He was born Feb. 8, 1931, in South Bend to Arlo Dowe Swick and Eunice Adams Swick.

His wife, Alice Swick, died May 14, 1996.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Michele Swick and Jeffrey and Lori Swick, all of Rosedale; one daughter, Alicia Swick Gill of Rosedale; his mother; four grandsons, Dustin Swick, Darren Swick, Adam Bennett Swick and Cameron Frazier; two granddaughters, Holly Swick and Hillary Frazier; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He also was preceded in death by his father, March 17, 1997; and one brother, Allen Swick, June 11, 1970.

He was a graduate of Rosedale High School, a Navy veteran, and a member of Rosedale American Legion Tony Kashon Post 290 and the Rockville Elks Club.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Cottrell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Stephens officiating.

Burial is in Rosedale Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Rosedale American Legion.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Veronica G. Tingley
WEST YORK, Ill. -- Veronica G. Tingley, 70, of West York died at 4:51 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Crawford Memorial Hospital's emergency room, in Robinson.

She was born Jan. 19, 1930, in West York to Jake Decker and Bess Decker.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice "Baldy" Tingley; two sons, Norman Tingley and Tom Tingley; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.

Burial is in Bradbury Cemetery, east of West York.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and before services Friday.
