PARIS, Ill. - - Jeanette Daniel Blake, 85, of Paris died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in Lynncrest Manor. She was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Magnolia, Ark., to Willie J. Daniel and Lillie Moore Daniel. Her husband, Francis M. Blake, died June 29, 1988. Survivors include one sister, Ethel Perkins; two nieces; and two nephews. Services are 10 a.m. CST Saturday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Herring officiating. Burial is in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Mildred Cribelar
MARTINSVILLE, Ill. - - Mildred Cribelar, 87, of Martinsville died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in her son's residence. She was born March 27, 1913, in Spiketown, to Frank Baker and Alzenia Snyder Baker. Her husband, Carl Eugene Cribelar, died Jan. 27, 1954. Survivors include two sons, Tom Cribelar and Joe Cribelar; one brother, Harry Baker; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. CST Friday in Blue Grass Church of God, rural Martinsville. Burial is in Blue Grass Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today in Greenwell Funeral Home.
Margaret E. Fellows
CLINTON - - Margaret E. Fellows, 78, of Clinton and formerly of Mecca died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, in West Central Community Hospital. She was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Parke County to Joe Cramer and Lottie Kirkpatrick Cramer. Her husband, Ralph Fellows, whom she married June 6, 1937, died Feb. 26, 1987. Survivors include six sons, Charles Fellows of Danville, Ill., and Joe Fellows, Donald Fellows, Lester Fellows, Robert Fellows and Raymond Fellows, all of Mecca; three daughters, Helen Haughee and Esther Lee, both of Mecca and Anna Stites of Greencastle; three sisters, Alice Smiley of Rockville, Frances Collier of Indianapolis and Rose Josephine Branson of South Bend; 43 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son; three brothers; and five grandchildren. She was a member of the Mecca Wesleyan Church. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Barnes Mortuary in Rockville, with the Rev. Jerry Cummins officiating. Burial is in Hixon Cemetery
in Mecca. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Carol F. Gower
ANNAPOLIS, Ill. - - Carol F. Gower, 83, of Annapolis died at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born June 6, 1917, in Annapolis to Bertram Gower and Maude Freeland Gower. His wife, Frances Buckner Gower, died Feb. 10, 1997. Survivors include one son, Gale Gower; two daughters, Greta Livvix and Glenda Mehler; one brother, Lloyd Gower; two sisters, Audrey Weck and Ruth Shonk; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. CST Saturday in Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union, with the Rev. Lynette Barnett officiating. Burial is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, south of Annapolis. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.

WORTHINGTON - - Marcus Hays, 98, of Worthington died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born Sept. 9, 1902, near Point Commerce to Mark Hays and Eva Sanders Hays. Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Bond Hays; one son, Joe B. Hays; one daughter, Mary Ann Tate; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, with Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial is in Worthington Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services Friday.
Robert Pieske
BRAZIL - - Robert Pieske, 75, of Decatur, Ill., and formerly of Villa Grove Ill., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Brazil died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Ill. He was born July 31, 1925, in Brazil to William J. Pieske and Letha Gibbens Pieske. Survivors include one son, Mark Pieske; one brother, Edward Pieske; two grandchildren; four nieces, and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday in Clearview Cemetery. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home of Decatur assisted with arrangements.

CLINTON - - Mary E. Shannon, 87, of Clinton died at 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in Vermillion Convalescent Center. She was born June 26, 1913, in Clinton to Merl Sims and Amy Royse Sims. Her husband, William C. Shannon, died May 2, 1980. Survivors include three sons, William J. Shannon, Verl G. "Windie" Shannon and Larry Shannon; one daughter, Connie Sprinkle; two brothers, Wayne Sims and Merl Sims; one stepsister, Mary Jane Kellogg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday in Frist Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Rissler officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
John Edward Alumbaugh
John Edward Alumbaugh, 70, of Sterling, Ill., and formerly of Terre Haute died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000. He was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Carlisle to John Alumbaugh and Rachel Cummins Alumbaugh. Survivors include his wife, Edna "Tiny" Schatz Alumbaugh; four sons, John Alumbaugh, Michael Alumbaugh, Patrick Alumbaugh and James Alumbaugh; four daughters, Julie Timm, Melinda Boyer, Nancy Rajnowski and Jennifer Simpson; one sister, Joyce Kindred; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Saturday in St. Mary's Church in Sterling. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery

William E. Bedford, 80, of Indianapolis and formerly of Terre Haute died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born June 15, 1920, in Vincennes to John Bedford and Anna Walker Bedford. Survivors include his wife, Jane Brines Bedford; three children, Kelly Dumas, Libby Beaty and Amy Richhart; one sister, Martha Theriac; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery

Donna Sue Chandler, 41, of Terre Haute died at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Union Hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1959, in Terre Haute to Wayne S. Chandler and Mary Frances Stockton Chandler. Survivors include one brother, Richard W. Chandler; two sisters, Diane F. Hickman and Patricia R.
