She was born March 8, 1908, in Patricksburg to William Rodgers and Mary C. Stuart Rodgers. Survivors include one son, James Jenkins; one sister, Wilma Rodgers; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Karanovich Chapel, with Pastor Gene Hall officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Julia L. O'Haver
PLEASANTVILLE - - Julia L. O'Haver, 85, of Pleasantville died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, in Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Greene County to Wiley Almer Poole and Dessie Goodman Poole. Her first husband, Dearrel Brown, died in 1938; and her second husband, Robert O'Haver, died in 1991. Survivors include one daughter, Gloria Brown Hardisty; one stepdaughter, Betty Brewer; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Dwight Gould and David Meek officiating. Burial is in Pleasantville Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today in Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger.
John Darrell Shattuck
ROSEDALE - - John Darrell Shattuck, 57, of Rosedale died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born Nov. 19, 1943, in Brazil to John Charles Shattuck and Nitis Overpeck Shattuck. Survivors include his wife, Connie Yowell Shattuck; one daughter, Melissa Shattuck; one sister, Elizabeth Carlson; several nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Cottrell Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Manbeck officiating. Burial is in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

MARSHALL, Ill. - - Carrie Annette Spencer, 40, of Marshall and formerly of Mattoon, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in her residence. She was born Sept. 21, 1960, in Mattoon to Maurice Tabbert and Marie Hurt Tabbert. Survivors include her husband, Kevin Spencer; her parents; one stepdaughter, LeeAnn Spencer; one brother, David Tabbert; one sister, Amy Bridges; one niece; and one nephew. Services are 2 p.m. CST Sunday in Zion United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sheila Kelly officiating. Burial is in Zion Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to noon Sunday in Pearce Funeral Home, and one hour before services Sunday, in the church.
Lucille K. Dosch
Lucille K. Dosch, 90, of Terre Haute died at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, in Meadows Manor Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Terre Haute to Pius Oeding and Minnie Knust Oeding. Her husband, John Noble Dosch, died in 1956. Survivors include two nieces; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins. Prayers are 11:40 a.m. today in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:05 p.m., in St. Benedict's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joel Burget officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. today.
Mary A. Dragon
Mary A. Dragon, 90, of Terre Haute and Orlando, Fla., died at 8:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in Royal Oaks Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was a homemaker. She was born June 8, 1910, in Indiana to William T. Crowley and Anna Kuss Crowley. Her husband, Michael Dragon II, died in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Anna Holmes and her husband, Jack of Terre Haute and Mary Lynna Mann and her husband, Bob of Miami; two sons, Patrick Dragon of Orlando and Michael Dragon III and his wife, Ernestine of Terre Haute; three sisters, Rose Schaffer, Dorothy LeBrun and Juanita Luken and her husband, Albert of Terre Haute; one brother, John Crowley; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gertrude Dragon and Martha Boyke; four brothers, Albert Crowley, William Crowley, George Crowley and James Crowley; one daughter-in-law, Jane Dragon; and two great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Entombment is in Roselawn Chapel of Memories. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Marie Johnson Robbins
Marie Johnson Robbins, 81, of Terre Haute died Monday afternoon, Jan. 1, 2001, in Union Hospital. She was born July 27, 1919, in Clay County to Stanley Clay Johnson and Zola Marie Boyd Johnson. Her husband, R.F. "Robert" Robbins, died June 28, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Marie Cowdrey of Terre Haute and Barbara Anne Wheatfill and her husband, Raymond of Dunnellen, Fla.; two sisters, Olivene Daley of Terre Haute and Edna Hum of Panama City Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard G. Wheatfill. Services are 1:30 p.m. today in The Callahan Funeral Home, with Pastor Abe Miller officiating and Nancee South Falber as organist. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services today in the funeral home. The family suggests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Max Madden West Jr.
Max Madden West Jr., 63, of Terre Haute died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, in his residence. He was assistant director of the Audio-Visual Center at Indiana State University. He was born July 14, 1937, in Terre Haute to Max West Sr. and Thelma Conner West. Survivors include his wife, Linda Brown West; one son, David West of New York City; two stepsons, Mark West and his wife, Nicole of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael Gurchie of Mobile, Ala.; one stepdaughter, Donna Satterwhite and her husband, Steve of Oklahoma City; one brother, Bryce West and his wife, Jeanette of Clay City; and three grandchildren, Tony West of Fort Lauderdale and Stephanie Martinez and Damon Martinez, both of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a 1956 graduate of the former Wiley High School, received his bachelor of science degree from Indiana State University, and was a member of Friends of the Arts, Indiana State Fair Board and Film Librarians Consortium. He was a former member of the Jaycees and a former board member of Indiana Arts Commission. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Roselawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Morris Mott officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Friday.
Robert Link Barr
PARIS, Ill. - - Robert Link Barr, 90, of Inverness, Fla., and formerly of Paris died at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, in Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born May 28, 1910, in Paris to Karl Barr and Bess Link Barr. His two wives, Dorothy Barr and Marcell Barr, died in 1974 and 2000, respectively. Survivors include one son, Robert Link Barr Jr.; two daughters, Jean G. Barr and Kathryn Barr; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. CST Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, in Edgar Cemetery. Sutton & Son Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
