PARIS, Ill. - - Grady Monroe Bynum, 78, of Indianapolis, Ind., and formerly of Paris died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Indianapolis. He was born July 6, 1922, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to Monroe Bynum and Arminda Adean Douglas Bynum. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Belle Cook Bynum; one daughter, Brenda Lynne Bynum Lamanna; one son, Gary Wayne Bynum; one brother, Earnest Holmes Bynum; two sisters, Annie Ruth Bynum Reynolds and Naomi Adean Bynum Knox; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. Friday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is noon until services Friday.
Doretha Mae Cravens
LINTON - - Doretha Mae Cravens, 78, of Linton died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Glenburn Home. She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Oblong, Ill. Her husband, Robert L. Cravens Sr., died Feb. 8, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Cravens Jr. and Greg Cravens; one daughter, Tina Smith; one brother, Scott Ames; two sisters, Charlene "Chot" Ruddle and Roberta "Bert" Warters; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial is 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Hilary Vieck officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is 1 p.m. until services Thursday in the church. Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel assisted with arrangements.
William Wendell Dickenson
PARIS, Ill. - - William Wendell Dickenson, 80, of Paris died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Paris to John Herbert Dickenson and Elma Eloise Muncie Dickenson. Survivors include his wife wife, Barbara Southard Dickenson; one son, Robert A. Dickenson; four daughters, Mary E. Henderson, Lois A. Dickenson, Cynthia Walls and Ellen Louise Dickenson; two brothers, Donald Dwight Dickenson and Philip Herbert Dickenson; one sister, Mary Cooper; and four grandchildren. Services and burial are private, with burial in Edgar Cemetery
and graveside military rites by American Legion Post 211 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3601. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home.

SHELBURN - - Ira Lee Houser, 68, of Shelburn died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan. He was born June 11, 1932, in Shelburn to Ira Cleveland Houser and Myrtle Mae Mize Houser. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Houser; four sons, Jim Houser, Mike Houser, Chad Houser and Kevin Badger; one daughter, Debbie Taft; three brothers, Venus Houser, Aris Houser and Ollie Houser; five sisters, Minnie Sinders, Velsa Chambers, Shirley Wise, Dorothy Lucas and Arrowanna Houser; and seven grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mattox-McHugh Shelburn Chapel, with the Rev. Russell Black officiating. Burial is in Douglas Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Wednesday.

PERRYSVILLE - - Marion P. Marshall, 89, of rural Perrysville died at 9:41 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Highland Township in Vermillion County, Ind., to Vernon Marshall and Genevieve Prather Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Lois Hollowell Marshall; three daughters, Dianna Hall, Nancy Starkey and Martha Williams; one son, Dennis Marshall; two sisters, Eileen Rouse and Vivian Hughes; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, with the Rev. Andy Spencer officiating. Burial is in Hopewell Cemetery
in Rileysburg. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Gerald T. 'Tom' McKinney
NEW LEBANON - - Gerald T. "Tom" McKinney, 65, of Lakeland, Fla., and formerly of New Lebanon and Terre Haute died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland. He was born Jan. 19, 1935, in New Lebanon to John E. McKinney and Myrtle South McKinney. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Krone McKinney; one son, Mike McKinney; one daughter, Diana McKinney; two brothers, Dean McKinney and Kenneth McKinney; one sister, Frances Lambert; two grandchildren; and other relatives. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Burial is in Mount Zion Cemetery, near New Lebanon. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

UNIVERSAL - - Lena M. Quarello, 91, of Universal died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, in Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton. She was born Jan. 23, 1909, in Coal City, Ill., to James Quarello and Domenica Sabattoni Quarello. Survivors include one niece, Janet Gallichio; one nephew, James Quarello; and other relatives. Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Karanovich Chapel in Clinton, with the Rev. Joseph Villa officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 1:30 p.m. until services Wednesday.

ROCKVILLE - - Mary E. Stanley, 84, of Tulsa, Okla., and formerly of Rockville, died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in St. Simeon's Episcopal Home in Tulsa. She was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Parke County to Omar Thompson and Elsie Akers Thompson. Her husband, Nathan Raymond Stanley, died Oct. 11, 1995. Survivors include one son, Allen R. Stanley; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Gooch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brad BumGardner officiating. Burial is in Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Saturday.
Vivian Irene Tuttle
LINTON - - Vivian Irene Tuttle, 92, of Linton died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Glenburn Home. She was born April 22, 1908, in Sullivan County to Frank Sims and Cora Worthington Sims. Her husband, Elmer L. Tuttle, died June 26, 1993. Survivors include two son, Rex Tuttle and Bill Tuttle; one daughter, Thyra Faye Simpson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel, with the Rev. David Tyra and Quincy Murphy officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until services Thursday.
Eric W. Ward
CLINTON - - Eric W. Ward, 24, of Clinton died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a machine operator with Form Flex in Bloomingdale. He was born Aug. 17, 1976, in Terre Haute to William E. Ward II and Lolita Rogers Ward. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lolita and Henry Daffron of Clinton; his father and stepmother, William and Ruth Ward of West Terre Haute; one brother, Alan Ward of West Terre Haute; one half brother, Ryan Ward of West Terre Haute; one stepsister, Kelly Boatman of Terre Haute; grandfathers, Harold Rogers of Clinton and William E. Ward I; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a 1994 graduate of South Vermillion High School. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in Karanovich Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Cole officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. until services Thursday.
