Marion Meier
Marion R. Meier, 79, of Evansville, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Bethel Manor.
Surviving are two nieces and a nephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park, with military rites by the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club.
Friends may call from noon to service time at the chapel.
Dr. Robert L. Miley, DDS
Dr. Robert L. Miley, DDS, 86, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2002, at Regina Continuing Care.
He prac- ticed Dentistry for 38 years. He went to the Evansville State Hospital in 1980 in charge of the Dental Clinic for 7 years. He served as past president of the Evansville Dental Association.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during World War II, serving 4 years. He was a graduate of the University of Evansville and received his doctorate degree from Loyola University. He was a 45-year member of the Downtown Kiwanis. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pauline Miley; three sisters, Vivian Bitter of Evansville, Betty Ganz of Ft. Pierce, FL, Judith Olson of Raymondville, TX; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel. Dr. Dennis Davenport will be officiating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel. Entombment will be at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Downtown Kiwanis Club or Regina Continuing Care.
Mary Harris Wagner
Mary Harris Wagner, 94, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2002, at the Evansville Protestant Home. She was formerly employed at Citizens National Bank. She was a member of Methodist Temple and a former member of the Darcus Class of Methodist Temple. She was also a member of the Optimist Mrs. Club. She was an avid bridge player, music lover, and a former member of Finessers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred L. Wagner, in 1976. She is survived by a niece, Sally Madden, of Deland, IL; a nephew, Claude Harris, of Decatur, IL; and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel. Rev. Patrick Jackson will be officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 11, 2002, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery
in Princeton, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice or Methodist Temple.
Beatrice York
Beatrice L. York, 84, of Evansville, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Westpark Rehabilitation Center.
Surviving are two sons, John and Jim York; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grant Avenue Baptist Church in Chanute, Kan., with burial in High Prairie Cemetery
in Altoona, Kan.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibson, Koch, Friscel Funeral Home in Chanute, Kan.
Boone Funeral Home East Chapel is handling local arrangements.
Helen Adams
BRUCEVILLE - Helen J. (Junkin) Adams, 76, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
She taught kindergarten at Bruceville Elementary School for six years and was a center coordinator-teacher for the Project Head Start in Bicknell for 19 years.
Surviving are her husband, Gene; three daughters, Debbie Neslleroad, Kathy Dixon and Joy Vidimos; a son, Ross Adams; three sisters, Evelyn Stafford, Threasa McArtor and Shirley Wiltrout; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at Bruceville Christian Church, with burial in Bruceville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
David Clark
FRANCISCO - David L. "Clarkie" Clark, 70, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 1992, after 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Paula; a daughter, Terri Brogan; two sons, Wesley and J.D. Clark; a sister, Allene Clark; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery
in Francisco, with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1147.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann Hast
MOUNT VERNON - Patricia Ann (Saltzman) Hast, 69, died at Deaconess Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002. She operated Pat's Hair Fashions, retiring after 35 years.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and also attended the Mount Vernon General Baptist Church. She enjoyed decorative painting.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Donald Carl Hast of Mount Vernon; one son, Donald Joe Hast of Mount Vernon; one daughter, Cynthia Irene (Hast) Nabb of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren, Mary Ann, Adam and John Hast, Erin (Erwin) Hollinger, and Nathan Nabb; her mother, Vashti Saltzman of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Betty Reinitz and Judy Redman of Mount Vernon; one brother, Jerry Saltzman of New Harmony; and two stepgrandchildren, Chuck and Justin Nabb.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vogel Saltzman, and a brother, James Saltzman.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at Schneider Funeral Home Norvell Chapel, with burial following in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the funeral home. The Revs. Dallas Robinson and Franklin Dumond will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Posey County Chapter Relay for Life.
Marie Mead
CHANDLER - Marie Mead, formerly of Chandler, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Pharr, Texas.
Surviving are her husband, George; two daughters, Sue Mead and Sarah Mead Patterson; and two sons, George "Chip" Mead Jr. and Scott Mead.
Services were held Thursday in Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Eva Strickland
NEW HARMONY - Eva (Probus) Strickland, 85, died Friday, February 8, 2002, at 11:03 a.m. at Deaconess
Hospital in Evansville.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 1984, and her parents, Lee and Ina Pearl (Miller) Probus. She was a member of the Stewartsville United Methodist Church and was a long-time treasurer of the church's womens group, the W.S.C.S. She, along with her husband, ran Strickland Oil Field Service for approximately 50 years. They also raised Appaloosa and Quarter horses.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Creek and Freida Orth, both of New Harmony, and Nancy Hickman of Boonville; six grandchildren, Daniel and Doug Creek and John Orth, all of New Harmony, Pam Carl of Wadesville and Jay Hickman and Julia Chandler, both of Boonville; and 13 great-grandchildren, Damon Carl, Jason Orth, Misty Wilson, Justin Orth, Kim Balder, Lindsay and Trent Creek of New Harmony, Tyler Hickman, Casey Chandler, Cody Chandler, Matthew Creek, Caitlyn Creek and Melissa Wilson.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery
in Stewartsville, the Rev. William Ping officiating.
There will be no visitation at Werry Funeral Home New Harmony Chapel.
