Roy H. Kerr
April 28, 1916 - September 1, 1988
Roy H. Kerr, 72, Brookston, a retired farmer, died Thursday, Sept. 1, at 6:26 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been hospital ized since August 28.
He was born April 28, 1916 in Thompkinsville, Kentucky, and farmed in Tippecanoe and White Counties before retiring. He moved from the farm into Brookston in 1977.
He was a member of Brookston Church of Christ
He was married Dec. 16, 1934 in Celina, Tenn., to Nancy Scott. She survives, along with two sons, Willard "Hank" Kerr, Brookston and T.C. Kerr, St. Cloud, Fla.; a brother, Willie Kerr, Brookston; and one sister, Mrs. Ocia Pruitt, Fowler.
Eleven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren also survive. Preceded in death by 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, 1 brother.
Service was in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, Sunday, at 2 p.m. with Bill Romans, minister, officiating.
Interment was in IOOF Cemetery.
Phillip I. Kingery
December 19, 1928 - December 31, 2001
Phillip I. Kingery, 73, of Brookston died Sunday, December 31, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been in ill health since October 2001.
He was born on December 19, 1928 in Kewanna, to Arthur and Ida May Loman Kingery. He married lone Henderson in Delphi on November 13, 1948. She survives
He was a 1947 graduate of Cutler High School and served in the Indiana National Guard for two years.
He worked for 20 years for the Delphi School Corp. in custodial services retiring in 1991.
He was a former member of Cutler Presbyterian Church. He served as the scoutmaster for the Cutler Boy Scouts for several years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and Purdue women's basketball.
Surviving with his wife are sons James A. Kingery of Brookston and Timothy (Darlene) Kingery of Delphi; daughters Peggy M. Ruckdeschel of Oxford and Debra (Jon) Gaul of Morgantown, W. VA; brothers William (Patricia) Kingery of Fulton and John Kingery of Las Vegas; sisters Dolly Rife of Fulton and Dorothy (Maurice) Mason of Brooklyn, IN; step-mother Lena Kingery of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Services were Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi with Rev. Tim Stewart officiating.
Burial was at Bay Hill Cemetery, Cutler.

Keith Edwin Kiser
June 12, 1938 - February 19, 1995
Keith Edwin Kiser, 58, Chalmers, died Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Brookwood Medical Center, Homewood, Alabama. He was visiting a daughter in Alabama when he suffered a heart attack.
He was born June 12, 1938, in rural Monon, to Vance and Daisy Burris Kiser of Monon, who survives. He was married March 12, 1961, to Romana Linderer, in Chalmers.
He was a retired construction worker and he served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1953-57.
He was a 25-year member of the Laborers and Hod Carriers Local No. 274, Lafayette and a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Wolcott and the Twin Lakes AMVETS Post No. 91.
Surviving with his wife and mother are four daughters, Mrs. Brad (Kelly) Donat, Birmingham, Alabama; Mrs. Mark (Michelle) Smith, Brookston; Mrs. Scott (Jana) Cooper, Chalmers and Mrs. Andy (Lisa) Altman, R.l, Chalmers; two brothers, Jack Kiser, Lafayette and Tom Kiser, R.5, Monticello; three sisters, Betty Wooldridge, R.1, Monticello; Mildred White, R.2, Winamac and Judy Leach, Lehigh, Florida; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
The funeral was Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Loren Shuman officiating.
Burial was in Palestine Cemetery
near Wolcott.

Goldie O. Klinkhamer
March 11. 1923 - July 12, 1998
Goldie 0. (Warner) Klinkhamer, 75, Blackberry Lane, Delphi. died Sunday. July 12. at 2:45 am. in home Hospital. Lafayette.
She had been hospitalized on July 6. She suffered a stroke on May 31st. 1998.
She was born March 11, 1923. to Marley E. and Goldie Marie Downs Warner, in Brookston. She was married Dec. 12, 1942, to Herbert 'Herb' Klinkhamer and he died March 23, 1986.
She had lived in Delphi since 1994, coming from Brookston and Monticello.
She was a 1941 graduate of Brookston High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Delphi.
Survivors are three sons, Wayne Klinkhamer, Crown point; Harold Klinkhamer, Delphi and Gary Klinkhamer, Lafayette; two stepbrothers, Jesse Balkema, Brookston, and William Balkema, Romney; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A stepbrother is deceased.
Funeral services were conducted today, Wednesday, July 15, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston with pastor William Glenn officiating.
Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Delphi or the First Baptist Church of Monticello.
Kathryn B. Krown
September 26, 1911 - January 3, 1999
Kathryn B. Krown, 87, formerly of East Chicago, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999 in Monticello Healthcare Center, Monticello She had been a resident of the center for six years and had been ill for several years,
She was born Sept. 26. 1911, to Arthur C. and Stella C. Wingfield Bishop, in Kansas City, Mo. She was married Jan. 2, 1929, to Leroy L. Krown in Lake County and he died Aug. 14, 1986.
She was a retired employee of Rockwell International.
She had lived in Monticello for more than 45 years.
A brother is deceased.
Burial will be at a later date at Mound Grove Cemetery
in Independence, Missouri.
Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
David E. Lear
November 17, 1936 - October 18, 2000
David E. Lear, 63, of Monticello died Wednesday, October 18, 2000 in St. Elizabeth Health Care in Delphi. He had been ill three months.
He was born in Wolcott on November 17, 1936, to Verlie W. and Dora Ellen Towe Lear. He married Janice J. Lowe in Wolcott on June 16, 1957. She survives.
He had lived in White County all his life.
He was employed at Rose Acres Monon plant for 10 years. He had also worked at Buschman's Marathon in Monticello for 19 years.
He was a 30 year member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 906 In Monticello.
He is survived by his wife; daughters. Darlene Broughton of Burnettsville and Rebecca Turner of Monticello; sons Darryl Lear of Missouri and Brian Lear of Monticello; a brother Max Lear of Monon and seven grandchildren.
Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon was in charge of arrangements. No funeral service was held.

David Orville Logan
February 5, 1943 - February 9, 2003
David Orville Logan, 60, of Regency Place of Lafayette, a former Brookston resident, died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Regency Place. He had been ill since 1984 and had lived at Regency Place since 1985.
He was born February 5, 1943 in Kokomo, Ind., the son of Orville and Mary Finch Logan.
He graduated from Brookston High School in 1961 and graduated from Indiana State University in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education.
He worked at Pillsbury Green Giant in Lafayette from 1978-1984 and also was an EMT at Home Hospital and taught CPR classes.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 — 1965 as a Graphics Arts Specialist and received the Distinguished Service Medal in February 1986 at Grissom AFB.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lafayette.
Surviving are his parents Orville and Leona Logan of Brookston and a sister, Karen Logan of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Finch Logan and two brothers, Robert Lloyd Logan in 1983 and Roger Lee Logan in 1994.
Funeral services were this morning at Brookston United Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Brookshire and Rev. Jan Dimick officiating.
Burial with military rites was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brookston.
Hartzler Funeral Home was in charge of the service.
Donald Alick Macpherson
April 3, 1966 - May 4, 1989
Donald Alick "Buck" MacPherson, 33, 123 Dena Drive and formerly of Monticello, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 4, in Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
He was born April 3, 1966, to Donald W. and Patricia L. Abrahamson MacPherson in Gary.
He was reared in Monticello and was a 1974 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He attended Vincennes University in 1976 and worked 10 years for Landis Plastics Inc. in Monticello.
He moved to Westfield in December and attended Fishers American Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, David A and Patrick W at home in West field; and three sisters, Sharon L Blankenship, Monticello, Donna J. Thompson, Brookston and. Mary Kathleen MacPherson, Lafayette.
The funeral was Sunday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev. Jack Frisby officiating.
Burial was in Riverview Cemetery
at Monticello.
