Louise Heim
IRELAND - Louise P. (Giesler) Heim, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
Surviving are her husband, Leo G.; three daughters, Patricia Bohnenkamper, Carol Schneider and Mary Gibson; a son, Ronald; a sister, Eleanor Sermershiem; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call 1 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Paul Koressel
TELL CITY - Paul J. Koressel, 65, died from complications of cancer at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Koressel was born in Evansville, June 12, 1936, son of the late Anthony J. and Mary E. (Baggerly) Koressel. He was a 1954 graduate of Mater Dei High School and a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. He was united in marriage on Mary 21, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church in Evansville to the former Ruby Ann Seib.
He joined Citizens National Bank in Tell City, now Old National Bank, in 1967 and was promoted to president and CEO in 1976. He continued to serve in that capacity until his retirement in September 1999. He served the banking community for more than 42 years. During his career he was active in numerous civic and social activities. He was past president of the Tell City area Chamber of Commerce, Tell City Revolving Loan Fund and on the executive committee of the Perry County Development Corporation.
He had served as campaign manager of the United Way of Perry County and served the American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts and Perry County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Mr. Koressel helped organize the Marksman Booster Club and served as its president for two years. He was a former Boss of the Year winner, served two terms as president of the Hoosier Heights Country Club in addition to serving a number of years on the board of directors. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1172, Hoosier Heights Country Club and the American Legion Post 213. He was a Marine Corps veteran, having served from 1954 to 1956, during the
Korean War. Paul was an avid golfer and enjoyed working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruby Ann (Seib); a daughter, Kimberly Gunn, and son-in-law, Bill Gunn of Tell City; a son, Timothy Koressel of Corinth, Texas, three grandchildren Brooke, Kara and Trent Gunn, all of Tell City; and one sister, Susan E. Pierre of Evansville.
Funeral services will be held at noon CST Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. EST today at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, where a joint parish and Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. CST Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Michael Catholic Church, Perry County Memorial Hospital Home Health Hospice or Mater Dei Friends & Alumni Association.
The Rev. Jack Durchholz will officiate at the service.
Gilbert Pounds
ROCKPORT - Gilbert Marian Pounds, 93, of Colorado, Springs, Colo., formerly of Rockport, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.
He was the son of the late John A. and Ethel E. Pounds. He was the former owner of the Rockport Sanitary Pottery and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Pounds, in 1997 and a brother, Frank Pounds, in 1977.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Mary (Crume) Pounds; three sons, Larry G. Pounds of Rockport, Billy P. Pounds of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rev. Timothy K. Pounds of Clyde, N.C.; two daughters, Gloria A. Miller of Henderson, Ky., and Linda P. McDonald of Colorado Springs; a brother, Leon A. Pounds of Gentryville, Ind.; two sisters, Thelma Jacobs of Rockport and Marge Davenport of Kokomo, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, the Rev. Timothy Pounds officiating. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery
in Rockport, with the American Legion Post 254 having military graveside services.
Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
William Taylor Sr.
WASHINGTON - William Thomas Taylor Sr., 64, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Daviess Community Hospital.
He had been an electronics technician.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Sue; a son, William Thomas Jr.; a sister, Helen Day; two half sisters, Norma Sue and Mary; two brothers, Jerry and Jack; a half brother, James; and three grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Gill Funeral Home.
Joseph Zimmerman
PRINCETON - Joseph "Joe" Zimmerman, 85, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Gibson General Hospital.
He was born in Pike County, Ind., Jan. 24, 1917.
He was a retired farmer and a World War II Army veteran.
He lived in Princeton for the past 15 years coming from Wheeling, Ind., and was a member of Wheeling United Methodist Church, Prince Lodge 231 F&A.M. and American Legion Post 25.
Survivors are a daughter, Nancy Jo Zimmerman of Vincennes, Ind.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Stephen White of Princeton; and 3 grandchildren, Andrew Z. Jones, Allison Z. Jones and Emily White.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Hyslop) Zimmerman, in 1999, his parents, Harley and Myrtle (Davis) Zimmerman, a brother, Heber Zimmerman and sisters, Helen and Purl Zimmerman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home, the Rev. Tom Stiles officiating, burial in Mount Olive Cemetery, with military rite conducted by V.F.W Post 1147.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Colvin Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. by Prince Lodge 231.
Blanche Anderson
Blanche Marie Anderson, 67, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2002, at Columbia Healthcare Center.
She retired from Deaconess Hospital.
She is survived by 5 sons, all of Evansville, Michael Anderson, Darrel Collins, Douglas Collins, Kenneth Collins and Ricky Collins; 4 daughters, Sandra Collins, Vickie Fischer and Carolyn Roader, all of Evansville, and Brenda Wittenbraker of Newburgh; 2 brothers, Joe Hawkins of Henderson, Ky., and C.A. Hawkins of Hopkinsville, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 Great Grandchildren. Her husband, Carlos Anderson, preceded her in death in 1982.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, with Rev. Marcella W. Phillips officiating.
Visitation will be on today, February 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Clifton Decker Jr.
Clifton Ray Decker Jr., 28, of Morganfield, Ky., formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at his home.
He worked as a laborer in a factory.
Surviving are two daughters, Jamie and Melody Decker; a son, Cory Smith; his father and stepmother, Clifton Ray Sr. and Sandra Decker; his mother, Cynthia Byrne; two sisters, Kimberly Ballard and Shana Decker; a brother; Ray; and grandparents, Harrison and Zetta Decker and Dorothy Baker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time.
Noel Drew
Noel W. "Sonny" Drew, 69, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center from heart failure.
He retired as a driver for METS. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the
Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, with which he would have celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary June 1; daughter Caren "Sue" Wilson of Atlanta, Ga.; 2 granddaughters, Amy Sue Simon of Atlanta and Lori Ann Stephens of Houston, Texas; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob Taylor Stephens and Peyton Renee Stephens, both of Houston; a nephew Guy C. "Bud" Hopkins of Evansville; and his mother-in-law, Lillian Armstrong of Evansville.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, with Rev. Tim Suenram officiating. Visitation will be today, February 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
Edna Garman
Edna R. (Marshall) Garman, 86, of Evansville, died at 3 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2002, at her home. She was born February 7, 1916.
Edna was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. She was a retired bookkeeper.
