Paul T. Noggle
Paul Thomas Noggle, 89, of rural Noblesville, went to be with his beloved Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born on August 15, 1914 in Gary, Indiana of Lithuanian parents, Charles and Anna (Remkus) Dewaynes, who died early in his childhood. Shortly thereafter, he was adopted by Rev. Walter and Otie Noggle of Andrews, Indiana.
He graduated from Monument City High School in 1933, and received a BA degree from Marion College (now Indiana Wesleyan University) in 1937, lettering both in basketball and baseball. He also received an MA degree from Indiana University in 1946.
His life was committed to educating students in the classroom and by example. He also farmed in Hamilton County. His teaching assignments included Middletown High School, Anderson Central Junior High, and Madison Heights High School, from which he retired in 1976. He was selected as an Outstanding History Teacher.
He was active in various capacities at Victory Chapel Community Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and Board Chairman. He was a member of Villas Wesleyan church in Fort Myers, Florida where he spent 22 winters. He also attended the Prairie Baptist Church in rural Noblesville. He was a member of the National Education Association, the Indiana State Teachers Association and the Captain's Circle Club.
He married the former Marian Frances Tescher on May 28, 1939, who survives. Other survivors include, two sons, Jon (wife, Vivian) Noggle of Indianapolis, and James (wife, Debra) Noggle of Pendleton; one nephew, Alan (wife, Libby) Magruder of Las Vegas, NV; one niece, Darlene (husband, Gary) Margruder Black of San Antonio, TX; eleven grandchildren, Andrea (husband, Randy) Miller of Anderson, Julie (husband, Jimmy) Griffard of Pendleton, Gina (husband, Phil) King of Anderson, Ryan (wife, Amanda) Noggle of New York, NY, Cassie Noggle, Cory Noggle, Chad Henson, and Libby Henson all of Pendleton, Lee Henson of Oklahoma City, OK, Rick (wife, Robin) Lattimore and Paul (wife, Laura) Lattimore both of Indianapolis; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his adoptive parents; a sister, Bernice Magruder; and a foster sister, Madge Miller.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. John K. Summers officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Memorial Cemetery
in rural Noblesville.

Terry L. Burris
Terry L. Burris, 60, Monticello, KY, formerly of Anderson, passed away Wednesday August 18, 2004, at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, KY following a sudden illness.
He was born on November 28, 1943 in Cicero, Indiana to John and Eileen (Teeters) Burris.
He retired in 2000 from Guide Division of General Motors after 36 years of employment.
He is survived by wife, Pam Burris; three children, Thomas (wife, Cindy) Burris of Lapel, Amanda (husband, Greg) Mills of Noblesville, and Jennifer (husband, Richard) Brown of Lapel; his mother, Eileen Burris of Fishersburg; one brother, Gene (wife, Nancy) Burris of Anderson; one sister, Sue Banning of Anderson; six grandchildren, Natalie Burris, Hannah Mills, Matthew Mills, Caleb Mills, Samuel Mills, and Nathan Brown; several nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Harley.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Dr. Jerry Snyder officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Thomas W. Crouse
Thomas W. Crouse, 67, Noblesville, passed away Thursday August 01, 2002, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
He was born on January 24, 1935 in Muncie, Indiana to Paul and Olive (Whitaker) Crouse.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Lee (Wood) Crouse; a brother, Sam (wife, Janet) Crouse of Lapel; three half-sisters and one half-brother.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel, with Pastor Steve Clark officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Suzanne C. Mills
Suzanne C. Mills, 40, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2005, at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born on March 16, 1964, in Noblesville to Howard and Carol (Gaugel) Mills, Jr. She lived in Lapel until 1977 when her family moved to Noblesville. She graduated from Noblesville High School.
She had been employed for the last three years at the Marsh supermarket in Noblesville.
She was a member of Faith Community Church in Noblesville.
She is survived by parents, Howard and Carol Mills of Noblesville; and two brothers, Michael (wife, Paula) Brown of Boerne, TX, and John (wife, Camille) Mills of Seattle, WA.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Allan Hazen officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Sharon K. Howell
Sharon K. Howell, 65, Lapel, passed away Friday, April 15, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born on April 2, 1940, in Anderson, Indiana to Hubert and Audrey (Tinsley) Cox.
She retired in 1993 from Guide Division of GM and was a member of the UAW local 663.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Howell; three children, Kathleen (husband, Bryon) Meyer of Carmel, Thomas Howell of Lapel, and Brian (wife, Christie) Howell of Lapel; three brothers, Hubert (wife, Elsa) Cox, Jr. of Brawley, CA, Harry Cox of Anderson, and Ronald (wife, Sharon) Cox of Anderson; five grandchildren, Valerie Howell, Ian Howell, Eric Meyer, Kevin Meyer, and Dylan Meyer; and one great granddaughter, Zoe Aspen Spitz.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery

Scott M. Springer
Scott M. Springer, 28, Logansport, passed away Thursday March 17, 2005 at Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne after an extended illness.
He was born on January 19, 1977 in Noblesville, son of Mark Springer and Gail Griffin Springer.
He is survived by his parents Mark Springer of Lapel; Gail Springer of Perrysburg, OH; sister, Molly Springer of Anderson; brother, Jon Springer of Perrysburg, OH.; grandmother , Lilliann Springer of Lapel ; and grandparents Jim and Bettie Griffin of Lapel.

Roberta J. Wood
Roberta J. Wood, 72, Noblesville, went to be with her Lord on Friday April 9, 2004 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born on July 24, 1931 in Noblesville, Indiana daughter of Conrad and Ruby (Barr) Alsup.
She attended Fortville United Pentecostal Church and had lived all her life in the Noblesville area.
She is survived by four daughters; Beth (husband, Larry) Ingle of Westfield, Trudy (husband, David) Scherer of Lapel, Chris (husband, Mike) Bannon of Noblesville, and Marla (husband, Mark) Lasley of Anderson; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Bauer of Westfield, and one brother Richard Alsup of Noblesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Marvin E. Wood; a daughter Tina Wood; and brothers Russell Alsup, Jim Alsup, Robert Alsup and Frank Alsup.
A Private funeral will be held by the family with Rev. Bill Lambert officiating.

Ruth G. Pritchard
Ruth G. Pritchard, 82, Anderson, passed away Monday, February 12, 2007, at the Extended Care Unit of Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born on February 17, 1924, in Lapel, Indiana to Chester and Nelle (George) Graham.
She graduated from Lapel High School.
Ruth Retired in 1989 as manager of the Anderson Fur Company and had worked many years in retail in Palm Beach, Florida.
She was a member of the Pendleton chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Nameless Bridge Club.
She is survived by two children, Steve Pritchard of Fort Wayne, and Ruth Ann (Pritchard) Rotterdam of Whitehouse, OH; two grandchildren, Michael Rotterdam of Winter Park, FL, and Robert Rotterdam of Urbandale, IA; two great-grandchildren, Blake Michael Rotterdam and Brianna Lynn Rotterdam; three sisters, Louise Beanblossom of Lapel, Eulala Roettger of Anderson, and Mildred Willits of Lapel; and several nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Hildred Adler and Rosemary Likens; and two brothers, George Graham and Merrill Graham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating, burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Ruth H. King
Ruth H. (Gerber) King, 75, Noblesville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville surrounded by family members.
She was born on October 3, 1931, in Noblesville, Indiana to Jake and Dessie (Cook) Gerber.
Ruth worked as a home health care provider.
She is survived by, four children, Shar (Clem) Clements of Atlanta, Richard (Lynn) King of Port Jervis, NY, Kathy Cowan (Jim Powers) of Arcadia, Carol (Clark) Harrell of Plant City, FL; three brothers, Larry (Anna) Gerber of Anderson, Dave (Alberta) Gerber of Noblesville, and Doug (Wilma) Gerber of Paragon; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by, her parents; a son, Robert King, Jr.; a sister, Betty McNally; and two brothers, Bill and Mack Gerber.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Jerry Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
