James Dunlap
POSEYVILLE - James W. Dunlap, 96, died Monday, February 18, 2002, at the New Harmonie Health Care.
He was born on May 19, 1905, in New Harmony, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Susan (Damon) Dunlap; a son, Robert; and his wife, Elsie, in 1986.
He was a retired construction worker.
Surviving are a son, George D. of Waterloo, Ill.; 7 grandchildren, Kathy Reed, James, George and Steven Dunlap, Carolyn Wagner, Linda Cox and Yvonne Hubener; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville. Burial will be in the Poseyville Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon till service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Stella Heidorn
HUNTINGBURG - Stella M. (Zink) Heidorn, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Deaconess St. Joseph Hospital.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Drexler, Ruth Neuman and Karen Tierney; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Kehr; a son, Steve; a sister, Mary "Toots" Reese; two brothers, Don and Ralph Zink; and 14 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Wednesday at Nass & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Fairmont Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today.
Clara Kramer
TELL CITY - Clara Mae Kramer, 89, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1912, in Tell City to Alma (Daum) and Peter Kramer.
She retired from the Tell City Chair Company.
Clara was the first U.S. Navy Wave from Perry County.
Clara was a member of the American Legion Post 213 and the Columbia Rebekah Lodge 314, where she was past district director and past nobel grand.
Surviving are sisters, Mary M. Kramer and Louella Reynolds, both of Tell City, Viola Yaggi of Scotsdale, Ariz., and Elsie Francis of Georgetown, Ind.; local nieces and nephews, Sug Applegate of Tell City and Wayne, Larry and Ronnie Reynolds; and her companion, Carolyn Becker of Tell City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Alma Kramer; sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Leona Bosler and Helen Sibrel; and brothers, Forrest, Oscar, Gilbert and Lloyd Kramer.
The funeral will be held at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home Thursday, February 21, 2002, at 11 a.m. EST, burial will take place, Feb. 21, 2002, in the Greenwood Cemetery
in Tell City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 6:30 p.m. Rebekah service and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Vickie Murray
BOON-VILLE - Vickie Lynn (Chumbley) Murray, 50, died Fri. (Feb. 15) at Intra Care North in Spring, Texas, after a long illness. She lived in Tomball, Texas, for 12 years and was raised in Boonville. She was a member of Richland General Baptist Church in Richland, Ind.
Surviving are her husband, Ron Brown of Tomball, Texas; her mother, Imogene Powell of Boonville; 2 daughters, Shelley Murray of Tomball and Angela Marcum of San Diego, Calif.; 1 stepson, Kyle Brown of Panama City, Fla.; 4 sisters, Henrietta Kissel of Ijamsville, Md., Nancy Scales of Newburgh, Ginger Vailes of Kuttawa, Ky., and Patty Blanton of New Holland, Ohio; 2 brothers, Tommie Chumbley of Indianapolis and Henry Chumbley of Boonville; and a granddaughter, Erika Brown.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 21) at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery
in Boonville.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Wed., and from 10 a.m. until service time Thurs. at the funeral home.
Elmer Rumble
PRINCETON - Elmer L. Rumble, 85, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, February, 17, 2002, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born Nov. 23, 1916, in Mount Olympus, Ind.
He retired as a lifelong farmer and had lived on his farm since 1946.
He was a member of Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton.
He taught the Conquest Sunday school class at his church. He was an avid fisherman, active member of the Gibson County Farm Bureau, member of the National Recognized Pork Producers and former member of Gibson County Advisory Board.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby (Scott) Rumble, they were married March 18, 1945; a son, Scott Rumble of Lafayette, Ind.; a daughter, Ann Hyneman of Hazleton, Ind.; 7 grandchildren, Andrea and Kayla Dillon, Samantha Hyneman, Karen and Ryan Rumble, Susan Applegate and Stephanie Bosma; and 2 great-grandchildren, Grace and William Bosma. He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Bertha (Hoover) Rumble; and 2 sisters, Essie Rumble and Cecil Maxwell.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Columbia General Baptist Church, the Revs. Josh Hearrin and J.W. Creasey officiating, burial in Columbia Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at Colvin Funeral Home from 4 until 7 p.m. Wed., and from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Janice Vaughn
RICHLAND - Janice Ann Vaughn, 65, formerly of Herod, Ill., died at 12:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was born March 5, 1936, in Pope County, Illinois, the daughter of Cole and Ora (Crabb) Wallace.
She retired after 28 years of employment as branch manager at the Integra Hatfield Indiana Branch.
She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, James of Richland, they were married Jan. 8, 1955; her parents, Cole and Ora Wallace of Herod, Ill.; a daughter, Kim Lathery and her husband, Tom, of Richland; a brother, Deon Wallace and his wife, Ann, of Harrisburg, Ill.; a sister, Geneva Warren and her husband, Ronny, of Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Tara Beehn; and 2 stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Adrian Lathery.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, Ill., Rev. John Lee Jr. officiating, burial in Sunset Garden Cemetery
in Harrisburg. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Feb., 19, 2002, at Reed Funeral Home.
George Hape
George A. Hape, 63, of Evansville, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital. George retired from the Evansville Courier & Press in 2001 after 45 years of service.
He was a member of the National Guard.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Patsy Ann (Brantley) Hape of Evansville; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Allen and Patty Hape of Cleveland, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Donna Hape of Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother, Opal Hape of Evansville; sisters, Peggie Wigand of Evansville, Linda Harris of Granite City, Ill., and Laurel Jane Stitchfield of Evansville; a brother, Charlie Hape of Evansville; and grandchildren, Megan, Nicholas and Paige Hape.
His son, Thomas Andrew Hape, died in May of 2001.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2002, at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Rick Sellers officiating.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the service time at Browning Funeral Home.

Lorraine Jones
Lorraine Jones, 70, of Evansville, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center of heart failure.
Surviving are two sons, Walter Jr. and Norman; a brother, Leroy Duncan Jr.; and grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins Temple Church of God in Christ, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Mason Bros. Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
Alice Knibbs
Alice Jean (Kempf) Knibbs, 76, of Evansville, died on Saturday, February 16, 2002, at Parkview Care Center.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the St. Anthony Altar Society and a former patrol mom.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kay Hughes of Coral Springs, Fla.; a sister, JoAnn Groben of Evansville; two grandchildren, Reagan Bennett of Palm Beach, Fla., and Slade E. Hughes of Tampa, Fla.; and a great grandson, Hunter Dalie Bennett.
Services will be Wednesday, February 20, 2002, at 9:45 a.m., at Ziemer Central Chapel, continued at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2002, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Ziemer Central Chapel, with a memorial service at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Boys and Girls Club.
