Vivian Castor
Vivian S. Castor, 85, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a two month illness.
She was born on May 18, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois to Noel and Anna (O'Rear) Stephenson.
She had been employed by Indiana Bell, Aero Drapery and was a former owner of The Hut Restaurant.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved to travel and play Bridge. She was a big Colts and Pacers fan and enjoyed daily crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sherrill of Noblesville, and Barbara Clark of Fishers; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mary Ware, Betty Stewart, and Laura Arnold.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Al Hazen officiating. Burial will be at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Fishers.

Lee E. Walden
Lee E. Walden, 76, Knox, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Porter Hospital Valparaiso after complications of surgery following an extended illness.
He was born on August 22, 1928, in Indiana to Fred and Helen (Hopper) Walden.
He retired in 1990 from Frees Automotive and was a member of the Knox Moose Lodge and the Winamac Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Elkins) Walden; four children, Terry (wife, Kathy) Walden of Avon, Kenny (wife, Cheryl) Walden of Bedford, Calvin (wife, Tricia) Walden of Adrian, MI, and Linda (husband, Chris) Steelman of Martinsville; one sister, Marge (husband, Oscar) Rigdon of Westfield; three step-daughters, Diana (husband, Paul) Haskins of Knox, Donna Patterson of Anderson, and Debbie (husband, Dave) Shuck of Anderson; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 8 step-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastors Kenny and Calvin Walden officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Alberta Rose (Amberger) Smith
Alberta Rose (Amberger) Smith, 84, Madison, New Jersey, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2005, at Pine Acres Nursing Home in Madison, New Jersey following an extended illness.
She was born on August 8, 1920, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Albert and Cecil (Kinser) Amberger.
She received her BS in 1942 from Indiana State University and her MS in 1967 from Indiana University.
Prior to her retirement in 1989, Alberta was an accomplished music teacher in numerous elementary schools across Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and New Jersey.
She loved music and working with children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She will be forever missed by all who loved her.
She was a member of Calvary Church in Bayonne, New Jersey.
She is survived by four children, Mark L. and his wife Roxanne Smith; Sarah K. and her husband The Rev. James Cravens and their two children, Rachelle and Gregory; David D. and his wife Cindy Smith and their two children, Kristin and Matthew; and Robert and his wife Tracy Bridges and their two children, Lauren and Stephen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Harry E. Smith, a sister, Helen (Amberger) Fasig, and her parents.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. James Cravens officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

Allie T. Smith
Allie T Smith, 77, Markleville, passed away Tuesday June 1, 2004, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on January 28, 1927, in Anderson, IN to Norman and Hallie (Covington) Smith.
He was a World War II Army veteran and he retired in 1990 from Coca Cola in Anderson after 46 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Jo (Stanford) Smith; one daughter, Kathy Sue Barbee of Anderson; and three grandsons, Brandon, David, and Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Ricky J. Barbee; and two brothers, Charles D. Smith and Wilbur L. Smith.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel, with Rev. Larry Barkdull officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

Arthur Fish
Arthur "Pork" Fish, 66, Anderson, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006, at his residence following a long fight with colon cancer.
He was born on August 14, 1940 in Elwood, Indiana to Paul and Juanita (Sylvester) Fish.
He worked at the Emge meat packing plant in Anderson for several years and was the original owner and operator of Lawn Designers Landscaping Company before handing the family business over to his sons in 2002. He loved to work and to be outside as well as to spend time with his family.
Arthur was a great husband, father, and friend who was loved by many. He had a great sense of humor and will be remembered by many for his kind heart.
He was a member of the Gethsemane Four Square Church.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janette (Lum) Fish; two sons, Eddie Fish, and Donnie (fiancé, Amy Cooper) Fish both of Indianapolis; three brothers, Joe Fish of Anderson, Jim (wife, Dee) Fish of Jamesport, MO, and John (wife, Clare) Fish of Houston, TX; one sister, Sue VanDuyn of Anderson; four brothers-in-law, Doug (wife, Diane) Lum of Anderson, Glen (wife, Sally) Lum of Anderson, Phil (wife, Kaye) Lum of Crossett, AR, and Hugh (wife, Anne) Lum of LaGrange, CA; three sisters-in-law, Hilda (husband Harrold) Herbert, and Carolyn Givens of both of Crossett, AR, and Hazel Welch of Urania, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Loice Pardue.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Bob Henderson officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

Barbara J. Clinton
Barbara J. Clinton, 66, Fishers, passed away Wednesday January 28, 2004, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after a year long illness.
She was born on March 8, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Rolland and Virginia (Morgan) Muir.
She was a member of Fishers American Legion Ladies Auxilary.
She is survived by four children, Cathy (husband, Randy) Renner of Noblesville, Carol (husband, Perry) Shinholt of Lapel, Mike (wife, Dawn) Clinton of Fishers, and Mary Clinton of Columbus, OH; one step-son, Joe (wife, Trish) Clinton of Windfield, KS; three sisters, Jane (husband, Alan) Downs of Westfield, Nancy Cox of Worthington, Louise Neal of Westfield; one brother, Ed (wife, Jan) Muir of Noblesville; her father, Rolland Muir of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Shawn Eskew, Angie Morgan, Shannon Eskew, Mike Renner, Ashley Clinton, and Brandon Clinton; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Eskew, Emma Eskew, Drew Morgan, and Hanna Eskew.
Services will be held at 1/31/2004 11:00 AM Saturday at Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel with Rev. Derek Hansen officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

Barbara R. Hensley
Barbara R. Hensley, 75, Lapel, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on August 7, 1931, in Hancock County, Indiana to Ralph and Thelma (Martin) Kincade.
She was employed for many years by Woolworth and Woolco as a personnel manager.
She was a wonderful seamstress who made many bridesmaid's dresses, her daughter's wedding dress. She also loved to knit, crochet, quilt as well as travel.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Luther Hensley; three children, Eric (wife, Vickie) Hensley of Anderson, Cheryl Hensley, and Christina Brooks both of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Terry (wife, Sangita) Hensley of Coral Springs, FL, Jaime (wife, Liz) Hensley, and Jordan Haymaker both of Pendleton; two great grandchildren, Ashley and Chance Hensley; and six brothers and sisters, Betty Goff of Fortville, Dolly Wilson of Ingalls, Dennis Kincade of Plymouth, David Kincade of Fortville, Bradley Kincade of Fortville, and Dale Kincade of Russell Springs, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Hensley; two brothers, Byron "Bud" Kincade, and Don Kincade; and a son-in-law, Rod Brooks.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

Betty J. Perkins
Betty J. "Perky" Perkins, 81, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
She was born on March 9, 1925, in Cambridge City, Indiana to Clinton and Edna (Eastin) Perkins.
She had been a cook in several restaurants including The Pink Horse Restaurant in Anderson.
She was a member of the Noblesville Nazarene Church.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Perkins (fiance, Judy Colvard) of Noblesville, IN; one sister, Virginia Miller of Shelbyville; one half-sister, Theresa Perkins of Indianapolis; two half-brothers, Robert Perkins of Lapel, and Joseph Perkins of Kentucky; one step-brother, Michael Rodenberg of Anderson; two grandsons, Darrell (wife, Cindy) Enyeart, and Ralph (wife, Angie) Enyeart; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Eva Borders, Mary Anthony, Aletha Barkdull, and Edna Eaton; one brother, Elmer Perkins; and her daughter-in-law, Pam Michael.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Hervey Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
