M. Frances Hall
M. Frances Hall, 68, Lapel, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2004, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
She was born on October 3, 1936, in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Marion and Stella (Johnston) Hall.
She retired in 1992 from Owens-Brockway in Lapel after 17 years of employment.
She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church and the Lapel Eagles Auxillary.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Hall of Lapel; two daughters, Vickie Denham of Noblesville, and, Carmen Griffin of Lapel; two step-children, Michael Hall of Carmel, and Cathy Hall of Lawrence; one sister, Diana (husband, Bob) Simmerman of Lapel; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to any charity for abused children or Riley Children's Hospital.
Frederick M. Busby
Frederick M. Busby, 64, Anderson, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on October 1, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana to Leonidas and Maxine (Haas) Busby Curnutt.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1962 .
Fred retired in 1992 from Delco Remy after 27 years of employment. He was also an ordained minister and had served as Minister of Music at many churches including Fishersburg Wesleyan Church.
He attended Old Country Full Gospel Church in Pendleton and was a member of the Global Harversters and the U. A. W. Local 662
He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Busby; one daughter, Kathleen Singer of New Palestine; two sons, Ronald Busby of Palm Harbor, FL, and Royce (wife, Amber) Busby of Anderson; one brother, Royce (wife, Julie) Busby of Anderson; one step-brother, Don (wife, Melanie) Curnutt of Richmond; three step-children, Tammy (husband, Everett) Crose of Anderson, Edwin (wife, Rita) Drews of Anderson, and Shannon (husband, Mark) Clough of Charlotte, NC; thirteen grandchildren, Randy, Shane, Alex, Austin, Adam, Seth, Tiffany, Ben, Savannah, Lindsay, Travis, Branden, and Ali; and a special friend, Gus Bubenzer of Anderson.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Rick Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday the funeral home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Garold L. Anderson
Garold L. (Monk) Anderson, 83, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on April 3, 1922, in Curtisville, Indiana to Ira and Obie (Perkins) Anderson.
He attended Lapel High School and was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran of WW II who served in the Philippines and New Guinea. He had been employed by several businesses including the Town of Lapel and finally owned and operated Anderson Trucking for 18 years.
He was a member of the Lapel Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years, the Noblesville Moose Lodge and the American RC Flying Modelers Club. He enjoyed fishing; feeding humming birds, squirrels and rabbits; flying remote control airplanes and helicopters; and could be seen most any nice day riding around Lapel on his moped collecting aluminum cans for the can crusher he built.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Anderson; four daughters, Judy (husband, David) Cornelius of Ft. Myers, FL, Shirley Wood of Montgomery, AL, Nancy Horn of Lapel, and Carolyn Remy of Ft. Myers, FL; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gary (Renee) Anderson of Lapel; eleven grandchildren, Terri (husband, Rob) Williams, Chris (wife, Trisha) Needler, Shelly (husband, Ken) Secrest, Christy (husband, Sandy) King, Dodi (husband, Todd) Sylvester, Mike (wife, Tara) Wallace, Lisa (husband, Perry) Bush, Jr., Tommy Anderson, Danny Anderson, Amanda Anderson, and Katy Anderson; four step-grandchildren, Tim Wood, Cindy (husband, Roger) Corley, Phillip Wood, and Kelly Marcum; thirteen great-grandchildren, Shannon and Shon Delawter, Ken, Jr. and Jacob Secrest, Jessica and Jordan Goldman, Shelby Schultz, Lucas Sylvester, Brooke Elizabeth Wallace, David Anderson, Darren Bush, and Kailey and Kennedy Stockdale; four step-great-grandchildren, Jesse Williams, Matthew and Ethan Von Bank, Justin Pascal, Carrie Corley, Ira, Tim, and O'Mally Marcum, and P. J. Bush.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Obie (Perkins) Anderson, Stephenson; one son, Gary Anderson; and one daughter, Valoris Mardelle "Vicki" Anderson.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.

George M. Lewis, 76, Lapel, passed away Tuesday April 4, 2006 at his residence.
He was born on January 29, 1930 in Lapel, Indiana son of Homer and Merle (Sinders) Lewis.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired after 30 years as a machinist from Firestone in Noblesville and was also an avid Golfer.
He is survived by three sisters and a one brother, Mary Camp of Noblesville, Ivan Pete (wife, Bernardine) Lewis of Anderson, Betty (husband, Ray) Schenk of Middletown, Phyllis Roudebush of Noblesviile, and preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Doggie" Lewis.

George W. Parker
George W. "Bud" Parker, 80, West Frankfort, Illinois, formerly of Noblesville, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on October 17, 1924, in Lapel, Indiana to Elmer and Georgia (King) Parker.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a retired agent for American Income Life. He had owned and operated Parker's Green Acres moble home park in rural Noblesville.
He was a member of Southpoint Church of God in West Frankfort, IL, the Noblesville Moose, the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625, and the Lapel American Legion Post 212.
He is survived by three children, Carol (husband, Larry) Shupe of West Frankfort, IL, Darrell (wife, Angie) Parker of Knoxville, TN, and Sharry (husband, Mike) Gilliam of Warner Robins, GA; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Anderson) Parker in 1999; his son Roger Allen Parker; a granddaughter, Mindi Bentley; his parents; one brother; and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel, with Pastors Tod and Tina Parchman officiating. Burial will be at the Grovelawn Cemetery
in Pendleton.

Georgia B. Collins
Georgia B. Collins, 95, Sarasota, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005, at Woods at Manatee Springs in Bradenton, Florida following a brief illness.
She was born on April 2, 1910, in Banquo, Indiana to Fred and Frennie (Hedrick) Bloomer.
She was a graduate of Ball State and co-owned Collins Hardware in Lapel for many years before moving to Bradenton in 1971.
She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and the Rebecca Circle of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bradenton.
She is survived by one daughter, Alta Jane Collins Bryant of Sarasota, FL; three grandchildren, Gary Barker of Anderson, Kendra (husband, George) Newell of Chiefland, FL, and Todd (wife, Kim) Barker of Sarasota, FL; four great grandchildren, Harlan Barker of Indianapolis, Katrina Newell of Chiefland, FL, Kenneth Newell of Bradenton, FL, and Mark Chitwood of Sarasota, FL; and two brothers-in-law, Charles (wife, Rachel) Collins of Swayzee, and George (wife, Gertrude) Collins of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene "Gene" Collins; her parents; and two sisters, Marie Corn and Dolores Norman.
Georgia was a devoted wife and mother who leaves beautiful memories with her family and friends.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Grant Memorial Park in Marion.

E. Wayne Harvey
E. Wayne Harvey, 85, Anderson, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson.
He was born on July 30, 1920, in Madison County, Indiana to Edgar and Florence (Brown) Harvey.
Wayne retired from Delco Remy in 1974 after 33 years of employment and he also farmed.
He married Jean Mills on December 21, 1946 and she preceded him in death on January 31, 1995.
He was a member of the U. A. W. Local 662 and the Madison County Farm Bureau.
Wayne is survived by one son, Donald Wayne Harvey of Anderson; two brothers, Marvin Harvey of Pendleton, and Tom Harvey of Pendleton; four sisters, Mona Miller of Anderson, Janet Kelly of Fortville, June Deshone of Pendleton, and Jane Fisher of Pendleton; two brothers-in-law, George Mills of Pocahontas, AK, and Charles Mills of Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Etha Mae Cloud of Anderson, and Velma Kluesner of Anderson; and several nieces, and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Harvey; and four sisters, Jean Klonne, Esther Harvey, Joanne Rumler, and Carol Webb.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
