Cecelia Rose Veclotch
September 29, 1917 - March 11, 2002
Cecelia Rose Veclotch, 84, died, following an extended illness, at 6:41 p.m. in John F. Kennedy Hospital in Lake Worth, Fla., on Monday, March 11, 2002. She had been a resident of Lake Worth, for over 25 years, coming from Lake of the Woods/Bremen, Indiana area.
Cecelia was born on Sept. 29, 1917, in Plymouth, Ind. She was the daughter of George and Anna Christine Sester Emenaker. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1935.
On May 4, 1944, in Plymouth, Cecelia and Andrew J. Veclotch were married. Andrew died a little more than two years ago, on Feb. 21, 2000.
A devoted wife, Cecelia co-owned and operated Veclotch’s Resort and Lodge with her husband at the Lake of the Woods, near Bremen, Ind. a very popular family spot for many years.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Plymouth, and in Lake Worth, the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church.
Cecelia is survived by two brothers-in-law: Harold W. Price and Dr. John M. Bottorff, Sr., both of Plymouth. Several nieces and nephews also survive, along with care-giver and long time friend Josephine Lawrence of Lake Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five siblings. They are: two brothers, Louis and George Emenaker and three sisters: Frances Myers, Carol Bottorff and Regina Price.
Visitation with her family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2002, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Emmanuel Chikezie, associate pastor of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 625 N. Center St., Plymouth, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2002, in the church.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Plymouth.

Anita A. Warner
October 30, 1917 - August 16, 2001
Anita A. Warner, 83, 626 Miner St., Plymouth, died at 2:55 a.m., in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a brief illness, on Thursday, August 16, 2001.
A resident of Plymouth since 1955, Anita had lived in California and moved east to Nebraska, St. Louis, and Illinois before making Indiana her home.
Born on Oct. 30, 1917, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of George and Pauline Hunsicker Erbs.
She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Academy in St. Louis. Very active in sports, she played volleyball, softball and field hockey. She was a U.S.O. volunteer during World War II.
On April 17, 1948, in Reno, Nevada, Anita and Denzil “Randy” Warner were married. Denzil died on Sept. 27, 1980.
She worked alongside her spouse running the family business, Randy’s Frozen Meats, from 1955 until 1973. She then worked at Wagner Wire until her retirement in 1983.
An avid walker, Anita enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She took a lot of pride and pleasure in her family and their activities and kept up with them all. She crocheted, embroidered and tatted. She loved to read.
Known and appreciated for her sense of humor, Anita also enjoyed the company of cats.
She is survived by three daughters and a son. Her daughters are Janice D. and Don Kinney Jr., of Plymouth, Karla S. and Lee Krendl, Van Wert, Ohio, and Vickie Hendricks, all of Plymouth. Her son is Dan J. and Emily Warner of Austin, Texas.
Also surviving are step-daughter, Elaine and Jim Hocom and step-son Steven A. and Marsha Warner, all of Freemont, Calif.
Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, a sister, Nell Erbs and a brother, Art Erbs, both of St. Louis, Missouri, together with several nieces and nephews, also survive.
Anita was preceded in death by her spouse, three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation with her family will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2001, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. A rosary will be said at 1:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2001, at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, where Anita was a member, 625 N. Center St., Plymouth.
Father Anthony Gillespie will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Anita’s memory may be made to St. Elizabeth’s Academy, Alumnae Association, St. Louis, Missouri.
Colleen L. Warner
March 27, 1952 - March 30, 2002
Colleen Louise Warner, 50, a former resident of Plymouth and Wabash, Ind., and living at 1729 Bancroft Ave., Rochester, Ind., since last July, died at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2002 . Colleen died in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, from complications arising from heart surgery ten days prior.
Born in Plymouth on March 27, 1952 , Colleen was born the daughter of Oma (Back) and Charles Warner, Sr. She attended school at LaVille and David , Kentucky , after which she completed some college course study.
Colleen worked in nursing home care and in area restaurants until her health would no longer allow her to continue over the past ten years.
She was intrigued by computer science, she built several units for her family and would spend countless hours exploring their capabilities. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and music. She had a collection of clowns and music boxes.
She was a member of the Church of God .
Colleen is survived by her mother, Oma L. Slone of Rochester a sister, Penny J. Fisher of Bourbon and three brothers: Robert L. and Dixie Warner and Nick Warner, all of Plymouth, and Charles Jr. and Adrea Warner, of Freeport, Ill.
Several nieces and nephews also survive, together with Greg Robinette, her longtime companion from Wabash , Ind.
Colleen was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Christopher, and Greenville Slone, her step-father.
Visitation with the family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2002 , in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. , Plymouth .
Funeral services for Colleen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2002 , in the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Dittmer, pastor of the Family Bible Fellowship of Walkerton officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Colleen’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Rose M. Webb
November 12, 1905 - May 18, 2001
Lifetime resident of the Marshall County area, Rose M. Webb, 3113 Quince Rd., Walkerton, where she had lived for sixty years, died after an extended illness, at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2001. Rose died in Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, where she had been a patient since August of 2000. She was 95 years old.
Born in Plymouth on Nov. 12, 1905, Rose was the daughter of Charles W. and Mary Alice Lowery Stiles. She attended Marshall County schools.
On Christmas Eve of 1941, Rose and Glenn T. Webb were married. Glenn died on May 23, 1967.
She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in his farming operation.
Rose loved to cook, garden and she enjoyed crocheting. She liked to fish with her family in Wisconsin.
A sister, Dorothy A. Orr and a brother, Elmer M. Stiles, both of Plymouth, survive Rose’s death. Numerous nieces and nephews, including greats and great-greats, also survive.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her spouse, two sisters; Bessie Cappus and Velva Hedges, and six brothers; Willis, Ellis, James, Robert, Arthur and Howard Stiles.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, May 21, 2001, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Following calling at 7 p.m., funeral services, officiated by her nephew, Rev. Delmas Stiles, will be held in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Tyner Cemetery, Tyner, Ind.
Memorials in Rose’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Cancer fund.
Charles Roy Weigle
May 13, 1918 - November 4, 2001
Charles ‘Roy’ Weigle, 83, a lifetime resident of Plymouth, died following an extended illness at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2001, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth. Roy had resided with his wife at 501 Pennsylvania Ave.
Roy was born at home in North Township, Plymouth, on May 13, 1918, the son of George and Ada May Cox Weigle. He attended Washington School in Plymouth.
On March 28, 1941, in Plymouth Roy married Wreatha L. Rusk, who survives.
Roy was a dedicated employee, he began an over 50 year career beginning with the Plymouth Canning Co. and retiring from DelMonte Corp. on January 31, 1983.
Fishing the local lakes occupied most of Roy’s past time, he also enjoyed hunting small game, travel and time spent with family. Since 1985 he has been a member of the Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving with his wife are four children, his daughters are; Janice M. and Steve Miller; Merry L. and Robert Price all of Plymouth and sons Richard W. and Arlene Weigle of Roselle, Ill. and David A. and Sandy Weigle of Arlington, Texas. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive along with a sister Bertha M. Jackson of LaPorte and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2001, in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan Street, Plymouth, where visitation will be held one hour prior services. Pastor Maurice Grindle will officiate.
Burial will take place in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
Margaret E. Welch
January 2, 1909 - October 14, 2001
Margaret E. Welch, 92, a former Hamlet resident who had lived at Shady Rest and, for the past two years, was at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, died of natural causes, at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2001.
Margaret was born on January 2, 1909, in Bourbon, the daughter of Lewis O. and Pearl J. Rosebrough Hurford. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1926.
On October 3, 1928, Margaret and Cleo A. Welch were married in Plymouth. Cleo preceded her in death on September 3, 1980.
A homemaker, Margaret assisted her husband in his Standard Oil Agency business for 33 years, retiring in 1968.
She was known as an avid basketball fan and was actively involved in both Hamlet and Plymouth United Methodist churches and in their ladies’ circles. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Knox Chapter organization.
Margaret is survived by two sons and a daughter. Her sons are Merle J. and Carol Welch, Plymouth and Richard A. and Joan Welch, LaPorte. Her daughter, Jean Shrout, also lives in LaPorte.
Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Her granddaughters are: Mary Beth Reel, LaPorte, Susan Kitt, Elkhart and Karen Welch, Middletown, Conn. Her grandson is Steven Welch, Plymouth.
A sister, Evelyn Milliser, Plymouth, also survives.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Lewis Hurford.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2001, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Dean Fager, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, in Margaret’s memory.
