Chief Warrant Officer Robert Lowell Leming, Ret., 73, Austin, Texas, died Monday (Dec. 29, 2003) at Seton Hospital in Austin.

Calling is 2-4 p.m. CST Sunday at the Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress, Austin, Texas.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 3 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Miriam E. King

Miriam E. King, 90, formerly of 11206S-600W-35, Marion, died at 8:12 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 1, 2004) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where she had resided the past two years.

Calling is 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Pastor Kathie Jones will officiate.

Burial will be at the Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Jefferson Center United Methodist Church, 900S-300W, Warren, IN 46792.

Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren, is in charge of arrangements.

William E. Gard

William Elbert Gard, 93, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 1, 2004) at the Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, where he was a resident.

There will be no calling hours.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Etna Cemetery with Rev. H. Jordan Truman officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association, in care of Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, IN 46992.

Verlin F. Davison

Verlin F. Davison, 78, Bluffton, died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is 2-9 p.m. Friday at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1515 Clark Ave., Bluffton. Pastor Larry Sheets and Pastor Walter Graeflin will officiate.

Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Wells County.

Preferred memorials are to The Gideons or The Nazarene Church Children’s Summer Camp, in care of Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, IN 46714.

Ted S. Voght

Ted S. Voght, 69, 2403N-700W, Andrews, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 3, 2004) at his home.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Burial will be at a later date at Andrews Riverside Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Rex L. Slagal

Rex Lamoine Slagal, 61, Columbia City, died at 8:51 a.m. Friday (Jan. 2, 2004) at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling was from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, IN 46725. An Eagles Lodge Memorial Service was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Merriam Christian Cemetery, Merriam.

Preferred memorials are to the Columbia City United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.

Brenda L. Ryner

Brenda L. Ryner, 35, Huntington, died at 9:34 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 1, 2004) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at the Falls Cemetery, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are to the Helping Paws Pet Haven in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Lucille N. Myers

Lucille N. Myers, 93, Bluffton and formerly of Ossian, died Saturday (Jan. 3, 2004) at Meadowvale Healthcare, Bluffton.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian Chapel, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Gene Kinney officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Uniondale.

Frances I. Krinn

Frances I. Krinn, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 1, 2004) at Elmcroft of Muncie, where she was a resident.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Don Dexheimer officiating.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Calling was held Saturday afternoon at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Little Home Church, Vicco, Ky., with Minister Claren William officiating. Burial will be at the Scuddy Cemetery, Perry County, Ky.

Marie Hirons

Marie Nash Hirons, 65, rural Marion, died Monday (Jan. 5, 2004) at her home.

Calling is from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren, where services will be held at at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Dr. Blake J. Neff officiating.

Burial will be at Van Buren Cemetery.

Raymond Scott Fox

Technical Sgt. Raymond Scott “Ray” Fox, 38, died unexpectedly on Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2003) at his home in Crestview, Fla.

Calling is from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Rd. N.E., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial with military honors will be at Live Oak Memorial Cemetery, Crestview, Fla.

Eugene J. Brosman

Eugene J. “E.J.” Brosman, 76, Jones, Okla., died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2003) at the Bryant Nursing Center, Edmond, Okla.

Calling is from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. services at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Chapel, 202 S. Illinois, Monticello, IN 46960. Carla Barker will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at Riverview IOOF Cemetery, Monticello.

Garl O. Sparks

Garl O. Sparks 91, Warren, died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2004) at the United Methodist Memorial Home.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials are to the Markle Park Foundation in care of the Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
