Norbert F. Karst, 84, 568 Lamont Rd., died at 10:21 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 14, 2003) at the home of his daughter in Loveland, Ohio.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, with recitation of the rosary at 5 p.m., at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior to services, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Father Gary Sigler and Father Raymond Balzer will officiate.
Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Walter “Bud” Campbell, 80, Bluffton, died at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 16, 2003) at his home.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Rev. Gene Pope officiating. Burial will be in the McFarren Cemetery.

D. Gene Biehl, 79, Urbana, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 16, 2003) at his home.

Rev. R. William Meier, 87, Fort Wayne, died Wednesday (Sept. 17, 2003) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. McCune was a homemaker.

Mary Elizabeth Henry, 100, a resident of the Towne House Retirement Center in Fort Wayne, died there at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003).

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Martha M. DeVoe, 76, Montpelier, died at her home at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 23, 2003).

Kay Joan Brown, 65, Decatur, died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 24, 2003) at her home.

Marcus W. Ruble
Marcus W. Ruble, 77, died at 6:18 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 28, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where he had been a resident for the past five years. He was formerly of 919 N. Wayne St., Warren.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ, 302 N. Wayne St., Warren.
Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

John Stech
John L. Stech, 52, Markle, died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 30, 2003) following an extended illness.
Mr. Stech, a 1969 graduate of Huntington County Community High School, served for 20 years with the Markle Police Department and was the town marshal until April of 2000. He also served for several years with the Markle Volunteer Fire Department.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975, spending much of that time in Panama. He was a member of the Markle Church of Christ and was a volunteer for the church’s annual Vacation Bible School program.
Mr. Stech was born July 7, 1951, in Huntington County, to Kenneth H. and Deloris C. Hart Stech.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Stech, Strawberry, Ark., and Jonathon Stech, Markle; a daughter, Victoria Stech, Markle; a brother, David Stech, Wakarusa.
A friend, Aline Shriner, Markle, also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Ruth A. Stech; and two infant sisters.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Markle Church of Christ with Gerald Moreland officiating. There will be one hour of calling at the church prior to the services.
Internment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
